At Hostello, Meet Your Tribe isn’t just a tagline—it truly defines the place. I was here for two days and loved every bit of it. Great vibe, lovely place and a comfortable stay overall. Special shout-out to Biplob for being such a sweet and thoughtful person and for being just a call or text away for everything you could possibly need. :)

Kalyan is a great host. It's a great place if you are looking for a cheaper stay option.
Next to Guwahati Zoo.
It's a place where you can easily hire scooty and chill with your friends and hostel people's company.

A great advice to everyone who wants to stay here, unless and until you don’t smoke weed/cigarette or drink alcohol, don’t go there. Because as I entered the so called STAY there were all drunk guys (10-12) smoking weed and sitting there on a couch in Hall. After that the staff was so rude, they act like we haven’t paid for stay. Pathetic rooms and such a bad smell in washroom. It was so unsafe for girls. And on the other hand the person who picks the call he is not even there because he stays somewhere else so there was all different drunk staff. And cherry on cake when I asked for refund they cut the call and stopped answering my calls. If you want a good hygienic stay with safe environment then please don’t go there, this is my friendly advice.
Also the location is also not so good. So it’s upto you.

This place has an incredible vibe! The hostel’s location is convenient, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff is exceptionally warm and helpful. A special thanks to Biplob and Kalyan for their wonderful hospitality and for making the place feel like home.

Best hostel I have stayed at in India, I have stayed in many different hostels and this is by far the best one, the staff are very kind, especially Biplop who took the time out of his day to take me to get my phone fixed and has been hospitable from the start! Very good for foreigners and solo travelers as they make it feel like home!

I had contacted a number listed for Ziro Festival camping and spoke to a person named Neep, who claimed to be the owner. He told me they needed people, but after making me wait a week saying he had to confirm with his “partner, ” he came back saying all camping slots were full and instead offered me a volunteer role at their hostel with no pay. He asked me to come on 23rd September and stay till end of October.
Based on his word, I booked my tickets to Guwahati. Since then, he has stopped answering my calls and only left a vague apology message. This is unprofessional and misleading. His behavior shows zero integrity and feels like a complete scam.
Please be careful — this is not an authentic place. I'm not sure where to go now with the booked tickets. This is cheating and I'm reporting this to the meghalaya tourism and police station.

Trust me guys, if u r looking for hostel in Guwahati this is it. You'll find the best people to take care of you. They have a kitchen for you to use. U ask for any help, they'll be there. Hands down one of the best hostel experience I had.

My stay was absolutely perfect! The hostel is super clean. The staff and owner truly went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, they were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout my entire visit. It was a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend it!

My Favourite Place to Stay in Guwahati ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hostello just hits different. I’ve stayed at a lot of hostels across India, but this one has my heart. It’s clean, aesthetic, and has such a peaceful vibe — you instantly feel at home. The rooftop is my happy place, especially during sunset.
And honestly, a big part of what makes it special is Biplob. He’s warm, thoughtful, and always around to help or just chat — you can tell he really cares. This place isn’t just a stay, it’s a comfort zone. I’ll keep coming back.

In the middle of the busy roads of Guwahati, I found a peaceful stay and hot served food. The minimalism yet aesthetic room is cozy enough to have a peaceful sleep before travelling ahead. It was a lovely, and warm stay.

Rooms and Dorms are not great. We could see cockroaches in washrooms, mosquitoes in room and rooms are not maintained in hygienic manner. Some folks walk into the rooms with footwear, when they don't allow that in the whole building. They were very helpful in accommodating us with lowerbeds for couple of ladies, so service gets 5.

One of the unique aspects of this place is its location. It is right next to the zoo, which adds a completely different charm to the experience. Having stayed in over 60 hostels across India, I can confidently say that Hostello, Guwahati is one of those rare places that truly feels like home. From the moment you step in, you’ll notice the warmth—not just in the cozy setup but in the sense of community that thrives here. The place is impeccably maintained, and the credit goes to Neep and Ajit, who hold everything together with genuine care and passion.
I’ve spent weeks at Hostello, forming deep friendships with fellow travelers, sharing endless stories and experiences late into the night. One of my favorite memories is a barbecue night—songs, laughter, delicious food, and a campfire that kept us warm long after midnight. The location is near to the Guwahati Zoo. There’s space for parking limited cars and bikes.

This is one of the best hostels in Guwahati. I stayed here when I was on my northeast ride and was heading to Meghalaya. Neep the owner is very friendly and helpful in planning your meghalaya trip or recommendations in the city. The dorms were good and clean and Food is available in the hostel which is tasty and reasonable too. The only con I found was only one washroom in the hostel. Rest everything was awoesome. Gated parking is also there for bikes and cars.

This was one of the best hostels in my journeys through India. The owner, Neep, is a very nice and helpful man and took considerable time to help me plan my NE travels. He also helped drive me around town to source repairs on my backpack. The rooms were clean and the house provided a homely atmosphere.

Stay at the Hostello was fantastic. The location is excellent offering stunning views. I had opted for a dorm accommodation. The dorms were clean and had all badic amenities.
The staffs were also prompt in helping in case of any concerns and The staff, led by the attentive manager (Shivam ji), went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The dorm was comfortable and well-equipped. Mr. Shivam personally ensured everything was to my satisfaction, offering thoughtful recommendations and checking in on my needs. Overall, the combination of great service and a welcoming atmosphere made it a truly enjoyable experience.
