Stayed at Hótel Egilsen earlier this month and thought it was excellent. Very friendly staff and great service. I highly recommend this hotel and I already look forward to staying there again once back in Stykkishólmur.

Fantastic hotel perfectly located by the harbour in Stykkishólmur. Lovely rooms and great service from amazing staff. Lots of things to do, we went kayaking and biking and had a great time. Highly recommended and will come again!

Beautiful, quaint, and perfectly Icelandic this b&b is cozy and everything you'd hope for after a long drive from Reykjavik. They also have a great breakfast!

Small but cosy rooms, excellent breakfast. We had dinner at Narfeyrarstofa, a fantastic little restaurant just across the street.

I loved staying in this little guest room. This was easy to find, in a great location for exploring the peninsula and near a supermarket, restaurants and walking trails up to the lighthouse. The rooms were tiny, but people gather in the reading room, which was so plush, welcoming and nicely stocked with books, games and plenty of coffee or tea in adorable platters. The beds were so comfortable.

Fourteen days and 8 different hotels, and this one was our very favorite! Comfortable and cute and very warm and inviting, AND in one of the prettiest little towns we visited!

This hotel has so much charm and character, and is located in the lovely small fishing village Stykkishómur, which might be one of the most picturesque towns in Iceland. The rooms are clean and cosy and the staff extremely attendive and sweet. A huge recommendation!

Expensive place … smaller than I expected.

Staying in this lovely hotel was just a nice expierence. Windows facing the open sea over the harbour, really comfy rooms ad beds, with a peculiar nordic style that you just can't avoid falling in love with. Breakfast is delicious and the owner is always nice and willing to help. It's certainly a must if you're planning to stay for the night in Stykkisholmur, be sure you don't miss it!

Missing this amazing place and its staff everyday!

Pros: This charming boutique hotel looks like it was plucked straight out of a Wes Anderson film with its perfectly curated mid-century Scandinavian decor. It still is a modern hotel in every other respect though, with modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, and good Wi-Fi. The staff is friendly and professional — ready to help with local travel tips and restaurant recommendations. Cons: For the price, it seemed a little excessive to charge extra for breakfast. It was good (the smoothies are the best part), but wasn't dramatically better than comparable hotels that included breakfast in their rates.

Fantastic hotel opposite the gorgeous Norwegian house. Lovely building, the rooms are immaculate — even the smallest single is a study in how to make the best of the space. Super comfy beds and the staff are so friendly. Breakfast is pretty amazing too.

Lovely boutique hotel designed with traditional Nordic style and a hint of modern accent. Staff, service and breakfast are perfect.
