Very nice apartment hotel right in the center of Reykjavík. Friendly staff, spacious room, no breakfast, but there are cafes and bakeries nearby so that's really not an issue. All in all we were very happy with our stay!

Super sad that this property is capitalizing upon WOW going out of business by refusing to refund reservations for people that can no longer stop-over in Iceland. I was so excited to stay here. Since they are intentionally refusing my refund with 7 months notice, I will intentionally stay somewhere else when we do vacation in Iceland.

Very cosy budget hotel with a shower, kitchenet, easy climate control, on tourist routs, in the very centre of Reikjavic.

Fantastic place to stay! Perfect location, beautiful & spacious room, excellent amenities (fridge, sink, electric hob, etc), large shower room. Highly recommend! I will definitely stay here again when in Reykjavik.

They have kitchenettes so make your own food! Cause everything is expensive. Other than the cleaning staff, which we had to decline a few days because there seems to be no consistent time for them to come, everything was very awesome. The grocery store is right around the corner. And there is a fridge! TV has Netflix.

The Swan House is the best place to stay! Everything was perfect about our stay I couldn't think of 1 negative! My partners only slight negative was that our double bed had two single duvets.

This appartement was the most expensive during our trip in iceland. We ask to clean it again as it's was so dirty. After their second visit, still so dirty, we talk to the staff, but no solution was found. Very bad experience, avoid it!

Wow! Loved this hotel. So clean, and spacious. Very close to the center/shopping streets and restaurants. We stayed the week before Christmas holidays, which is luckily the Icelandic season for the Yule Lad countdown. Every morning we woke up to a stocking on our door with chocolate treats and a note explaining the new day's Yule Lad. The staff at the front desk were very helpful! Helped us book shuttles and deal with our airlines. We will not forget this stay! Looking forward to coming back soon :)

Wonderful Chic design, pure quality with a great service and very helpful staff. The location is just perfect, near to the ocean, next to Laugavegur with great variety of restaurants near by.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are set up like furnished apartments for 2. That includes dishes stove ect. The staff was great and the architecture was modern. The shower was in it own rokm. A rain fall shower room. Awesome. Great deal. Will come again.

I stayed at the Swan house with my wife last weekend. We highly enjoyed the experience. The hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly and the room was nice and cozy. We slept well in the comfortable bed we had, and all together enjoyed the great atmosphere that they had created for the all-round experience. The location of the hotel cold not have been better as well. All-in-all a great experience that I can highly recommend.

Stayed here after driving the ring road and living in a mini-van for 10 days. We were very happy with the accomodation and facilities and would highly recommend anyone staying here. Walk in shower was amazing, two streets down from the main road, super comfy bed in a spacious studio, TV on wall arm bracket made netflix delightful in bed! The receptionist was also very helpful with suggestions and directions to cheaper supermarkets & restaurants. 10/10

Swan house is great the rooms are beautiful and having the extra kitchen is great. The staff is amazing and super helpful! You are a little off the beaten path but we find it preferable as everything is still in walking distance and the apartments are nice and quiet.

I really liked this apartment, it was rather like an IKEA showroom, functional and comfortable. The size was perfect for our family of four, we spent the majority of the time out and about as there is so much to see and do. The kitchenette was fine for breakfast, but I wouldn't want to book a family meal. The bathroom was nice with a really powerful hot shower.

Don't let this place fool you. It's the best deal in Reykjavik and super nice and roomy apartments. Give them a shot you won't be disappointed.

The perfect base for a holiday in Iceland. So stylish yet functional with everything we needed so we could prepare our own breakfasts each morning, even providing freshly ground coffee for the cafetière and complimentary tea too. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower gave us inspiration for a new bathroom at home.
The apartments are close to the centre of Reykjavik meaning you can easily have a holiday without hiring a car.
Staff were friendly and recommended places to go for food. We got the airbus from the airport and arranged pick up from outside too. Would highly recommend this place to other tourists visiting Iceland.

Loved our short stay at the Swan House. Very comfortable apartment for the three of us. Updated and functional bathroom. Kitchenette is handy for breakfast and late night munching. Close to shops, especially the best coffee shop in Reykjavik. Near the ocean. Quiet and peaceful. Helpful and friendly staff. Just what we needed. Thank you!

I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Reykjavíc. The staff there went above and beyond for us. Perfect place to be in order to go sightseeing downtown, and very close to a grocery store in case you wish to use the kitchenette in your room.

We loved our stay at the Swan House. The room was clean and simple, beds are very comfortable. Kitchenette came in handy for coffee and fridge items. Bonus — hairdryer was strong and heated well (for the ladies that blow dry). Also parking on the street was easy. Definitely recommend this to friends.

Is very close to all the best restaurants and bars, cafes, shopping stores of Reykjavik. The groceries are not that far, too and this is very important to reduce the cost of living while staying in Iceland and enjoying her wonders. The kitchenette is fully equipped and gives you an independence from the extremely high prices of everything, restaurants, bars and cafes, fast food and othet eateries.

The location is great and IS THE ONLY POSITIVE THING ABOUT THEIR APARTMENTS! However Reykjavik is such a small, even rustic city (town in fact) that it's really hard to get the location wrong in there. Virtually any location within the capital will be within a several-minute walk from the town center and have an ocean/mountain view of some sort (just a matter of angle). THE BAD: no reception of any kind at any time (although they state this in advance), TV didn't work (no viable antenna/cable connection), shower iffy at best, leif ericsson himself would have considered it old and beneath him; bathroom sink small and virtually impossible to use unless your nickname is umpa lumpa; it (the sink) also has a weird smell to it; there is a perfectly logical KITCHEN sink just behind the wall though and you're more than likely to wanna switch to that within seconds, but it's not really what kitchens are meant for, are they? The layout of AC mains and their scarcity are simply appalling. If you're in Reykjavik for more than one night and want your stay to run seamlessly, without unduly irritation, you probably should look elsewhere towards the capital's newer architecture. Mind you, compared to Europe's other capitals, even the minor ones, Reykjavik is like an Indian village full of wigwams and even some of those seem pretty run down (it definitely has a genuine charm to it though if you learn to see it).

Went here in Oct of 2012. The apartment that we got was like a loft style. One room with everything including the kitchen sink, we'll the bathroom is separated. The apartment is fairly large, like two regular sized hotel rooms. Place was clean but not as clean as I would keep my own place or a 5 star hotel. Tool a while to figure out how to use the heating system. Told that there are no queen beds in Iceland. So we put the two singles together, but no queen size blankets : — (. No one tells you that all of Iceland smells of sulfur. Even the hot water. So taking a shower meant a quick shower cause it stinks so bad. Place is close to down town and you can walk. Less than a half mile. All the tour buses know of it so easy to get picked up and dropped off. Limited service and it was hit or miss getting assistance. Essentially on your own if you need assistance after hours. Overall good place for the price.

Suite on floor 4 was clean, bright, and large — 3 separate rooms plus a rooftop balcony. Great value and walking distance to most places in Rekjavík. Caveat: road work is a nightmare. As of 6 August 2013 the hotel can only really be reached by taking Skúlagata to Vatnstíggur. Parking is about 5 slots at the back of the building, northwest if the pin on Google maps.

Affordable appartments in the center of the city.

The apartment is centrally located and has free internet, which is a bonus. However, the bathroom is extremely inconvenient to use. The toiletry shelf is literally one foot above the sink and blocking access to it. Perhaps OK to wash your hands, but not so good to wash your face, unless you are willing to put your chin on the sink. The shower is separated from the rest of the bathroom by a flimsy curtain that does not stop water from getting on the floor all around. Water stays there on the floor, so you'll have to mop it up constantly after using a shower. The front desk staff is OK but will not rush to help: when I asked questions about local tours, I was advised to consult the brochures off the selves. The kitchen was OK for a business traveler.
