Guesthouse Pavi Hotel

Honestly the worst experience I have ever had. This is not a typical bad review that you should brush off. The owner literally came in our room screaming and harassing us; told one of our German friends she was Hitler for washing her clothes here. It was so inappropriate. The manager was kind, but said he couldn't do anything because the owner was ridiculously terrible. Therefor, customer derive. He demanded 4, 000 Kr from us for the 1/4 of a bath tub of water we used to wash our clothes. do not come here. Read the other reviews, we did not until we had this experience.

Just apartments with beds and shared bathroom … They don't have a kitchen which sucks because going to a restaurant in island is crazy expensive well everything is crazy expensive… The bed is really confi. I wish they provide more pillows there's no 24 hours desk and when you arrive you need to have a phone number to call someone so they can drop off the key … The location is good … There's a supermarket 3 minutes walk. I think they should have a water heater in each room so at least you can buy soup because is super cold!

Basic room with shower and toilet. No TV but comfortable beds. Didn't have any problems with the Wi-Fi. You have to call if you arrive after 3pm but the person who opened the door was friendly and fast. Good option if you are on a budget and close to the shopping streets.

Very nice personal but you have to wait for the person to come to the hotel, room double bed = 2 bed 1 person.

Comfortable hotel to stay, located close to Hlemmur and 10 minutes walking from bar and shopping area in Reykjavik, I might guess they don't zclean the rooms everyday.

Hey you the after this guesthouse, keep it up let it stay this accommodation is the last and a pure rip off! We left our money there and didn't even get accommodation for the night.
And now arguing with the guesthouse that we do not want to refund our payment.
We warn there, then it was said the booked room is not there and oh here at the guesthouse is being renovated (nuclear refurbishment with full scaffolding on the façade) and if I'm honest you don't want to spend your night here the construction noise is really fierce. Then we believed the mediator of PAVI thinks it well with us brings us where else. But where he wanted to receive us in 1 H was no one and we waited umsonts and we just messed up the holiday. And frankly, the area in which he wanted to accommodate us was pretty worrying. You could also say pretty creepy and need renovation, or yet demolition due.
So enjoy all the fun of booking a scary adventure or just looking for something better:) KEX Hosetl and City Park Hotel are super mfg Julian.

If you're a hobbit, the shower is perfect for you. The hose comes more or less through the chest, like saying "better not to wash your hair. "
The room and the kitchen are not bad, even with the oven broken, the worst thing is that the hotel management is a lie. They take you to a room in a flat in a house with neighbors, yes, very nice (what remedy they have left).
500 euros fine if you smoke, 100 if you lose the key, 50 if you take the towel. I think they should first deduct all of their flaws and pay us to go.

As accommodation is not bad within the average, a little old all and without elevator, it is close to the main street of the city, transport and restaurants, has small apartments with kitchen and bathroom, also has single bed rooms, you get the key of the building and to Your air, there is no receptionist.

We stayed in a flat about 200 meters from the guesthouse. The room was very spacious but in the kitchen, small, there was hardly anything and pretty dirty. All quite old.

SUPER discouraged! I have been 2 times in Iceland, great place very nice and caring people. Apart from the staff of this hotel. Very much under civilian standards!. If you like the cleanliness of a Hotel and the sympathy of the staff… This is not for you… I would definitely recommend it. I paid, I went out and I changed hotel… moreover it is distant from the center, I do not understand how to be on Booking…
P. S. In the area there are little more expensive apartments… but definitely very nice.

We arrived that the downstairs door was closed and we had to call a number, and after 5 minutes came a girl (kind) who gave us a key that was fine for the door of the room and to the door of the building. The palace is very Soviet-style. The rooms are ugly and old, and bed linen/towels are quite ruined. Even the bedside tables were very ruined. We paid €100 for that room for one night so, be warned that if you book a room to save a bit compared to the average of the Icelandic hotels, this is what you will find.

The price was somewhat high for the facilities they have. It was somewhat noisy especially in the mornings because they were renovating in the accommodation. The facilities can be improved, especially the bathroom.
The reception very attentive, we arrived at 4:00 in the morning and calling a phone we were able to check-in no problem. Had bathroom in the room and full kitchen. We could have stayed there many more days without a problem… We liked it a lot although it is not of a great category or luxury.

Decent guest house, got room with spacious bathroom and bedroom. For the price it's great. For the check in you have to call after 3pm, not sooner.

I don't think there will be any accommodation worse than this. I would consider this place merely a shelter only. The shared bathroom was so so terrible with full of rust on the shower head with no proper hanging hook. Towel was like used for ages with faded color stains. Yucks* The bedroom was so horrible with musky smells with extremely rundown bed mattress, chairs and wardrobe. There was no kitchen, nor any alternative to boil hot water or drinking water. We would have died from thirst if we do not brought our own drinking water. Check-in process was so bad as there was literately nobody manning the place, we had to wait for 30 mins for somebody to pass the keys to us. The owners should reflect on themselves about offering such horrible living conditions for their customers. Considering the price that we are paying, we could have got some better options elsewhere. In conclusion, this guesthouse do not even deserve a star.

Terrible value for money for what you are getting. You have to call a number to check in or if you have any issues, then wait for staff to arrive. Also, the rooms and the building itself is weathered, the bathroom is cramped and the curtains were more like rags hanging down. The room will not get cleaned during your stay and if you want your towels replaced, you have to find the cleaner and hope she has spare ones. Although I appreciate Iceland is expensive, this guesthouse is just a complete rip off for what it is — suggest guests do not stay here and pay a bit more for an actual hotel or try to find better/cheaper accommodation on the likes of AirBnb. Do not recommend/will not stay again. Only plus point was that the building is actually in Reykjavik.

Everything was great during our 4-nights stay here. We had a shared bathroom and a shared kitchen. Both were very clean, as well as our room. I should mention that the staff was very friendly and told us which are the cheapest supermarkets around in order to save some money. I really don't understand the people who complain about this place, probably they expected 5 stars facilities from this cheap accommodation…

Great location, in the small apartments with kitchen the equipment is lacking, in the evening the shower only boiling from geothermal…

The best is the price, the rest is poor. No tv. Shared bathroom. | Lo mejor el precio, el resto pobre. No tv. Baño compartido.

All very close to the Center and very economical price. The room where we slept reeked of smoke and not too clean. Dirty bathrooms small and smelled bad. In short.

Concerning the price/quality ratio, you cant get much better in Rejkjavik.

While this was only 5-10 min walk to the center, the sheets had holes and looked stained.
