We had an afternoon tea at Apotek; all the dishes that they served from savory to sweets were delicious; especially their LAMBARILLET Á VÖFFLU. I can’t stop thinking about this dish. If you ever get a chance to visit Iceland; make sure to stop by this restaurant.

Had an amazing 7 course tasting meal, so creative and flavorful! Would highly recommend it! We enjoyed Artic Char, Tuna, Lamb, Beef Tenderloin, Octopus, and Beef tartare and a dessert out of this world! Steinn was so helpful and sweet, he and the other staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Thank you for a lovely dinner with great friends.

Fresh modern dining, nice combinations of traditional seafood with modern twist. Super deserts that wil fill the last gap in your body! Lovely staff and very nice atmosphere to have a good meal.

The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The cocktail drinks are excellent. Plus the Christmas decor makes it more festive 👏

I've been fortunate to travel the world and I can strongly say that my meal at a Patek was one of the top 10 meals my life. I want with the chef's tasting menu and each dish was amazing. Lamb Tartare Broiled scallop and seared tuna in the rocks (best seared tuna ever) Beef carpaccio (top two ever) Broiled Ling Cod Grilled Ribeye with mushroom puree and seasonal vegetables. Chocolate Rose with sparkler (chocolate mouse and cherry puree inside) and an orange sorbet in chocolate powder. incredible food, beautiful restaurant, and outstanding service. I must stop if you're visiting Reykjavik.

Amazing food, wonderful staff.

Three stars mostly because the continuous humming noise that we experienced is very not cool. Good: Clean room, comfy bedding, modern decor, downstairs restaurant open until 11pm/midnight, downstairs restaurant offers good dinner, friendly front desk, location Not so good: — Street next to the hotel is closed in summer time, so there’s some walking. The front desk provided some parking information. — The room we got makes relatively loud continuous humming noise when we got back at around 11pm. (Not sure for how long it has been there) Highly suspect it is kitchen operating noise (Ventilator? ). The front desk offered another room. But because that was a smaller room we decided to stay. In the morning, before 7, there was some chair-table moving noise. Right after 7am the continuous humming noise started.

Didn't stay in the hotel but went for breakfast here. It was buffet style but a bit lacking. A lot of local dishes but no description, leaving us to just blindly taste foods. I am all for trying new things but also like knowing what I am trying. Sadly my husband and I tried a few thing that weren't to our palate that left a bad taste in out mouth, no pun intended. Everyone spoke highly of the dinners, but after the bad breakfast experience we just couldn't bring our selves to go back.

Worst customer service and very rude staffs, never recommend anyone to go there! The bar downstairs at the hotel is very noisy until 3am in the morning! And it’s constant loud night club music, If you want to sleep don’t stay at this hotel! I complain the noise to the staff and want to change the room, they just ignore me and told me the other side is worst, so that means no room in this hotel is quiet and you spend €200 per night? I was too crazy to stay at this hotel! The worst hotel experience in Europe, this hotel should be downgraded! If you have the money to spend don’t waste on this hotel, find somewhere else. Staffs at the hotel is the worst hotel staffs I ever dealt with, they are cold and unhelpful, the manager is even worse, they pushed every responsibility away they can, and never try to help you solve the issue, at the end they look down at you and make fun of your problem and complains, this make me feel Icelandic people are very cold and rude, I’m very disappointed at you Apotek Hotel!

We had an amazing stay here! We were here for the first leg of our honeymoon and I can't say enough good things! The rooms are comfortable and warm and we had a beautiful view of Reykjavik. The hotel staff was helpful and kind. My husband loved the breakfast buffet and I loved the beautiful atmosphere of the hotel and the awesome bar at night. We are already planning our trip back! We went December 2016 and it was just magical!
