The owners of this camping site were literally the most kind and wellcoming people me and my group have met in Iceland! The bathrooms are OK, just like the showers, and the only problem is that there isn't a warm area to eat. Overall it is a very good camping site.
➜ The reception is warm, the view beautiful, the point of water is very clean, I have no doubt that the cottages are too. We are located in altitude also if you camped cover you well at night we had 4 at night. We are close to the Lake also to go hiking.

We were lost, cold, and exhausted after taking the öxi road (which is a bit intimidating after dark) and pulled into her property to look for campsites. She came up to us and sweetly offered a cottage because it was “much more cozy” than her campground. We took her up on the offer and we couldn’t be happier! The cottages are small and and adorable, the restrooms were clean and didn’t have lines, and the beds were a luxury after sleeping on the hard ground for several nights. Johanna is our hero! Plus her cats are adorable.
