We came to the campsite expecting for it only to be for people who wanted to stay at the guest house, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. At 1500 IK per night for adults and children free (and this price also includes unlimited showers, unlimited visits to the pool and hot — tub and use of the washing machine, freedom to park anywhere in the campsite and hot and cold water for washing up). There was also a kitchen which could be used free for campers with an electric hob and grill and a microwave. The kitchen was well equipped, but the kitchen had seen better days… The facilities were clean and the showers were hit, but the temperature could be changed. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable stay — a great stoppover for campers, tourists and hikers alike.
➜ June 13th 2018 guesthouse located on the edge of the road N ° 1, quite large and to which was added a small campsite quite pleasant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Regarding the campsite, very correct cost 1500 ISK including location, hot showers (collective) at will, heated TOILETS, local heated and equipped kitchen, and free and fast Wi-Fi, in the large lounge of the guesthouse. The pitches are well maintained and relatively well sheltered from the wind. All the amenities are very well maintained and very clean. Very good atmosphere of family type. It is possible to eat at the guesthouse which makes breakfasts and meals. I advise you to taste their soup (2000 ISK) which is simply delicious. This place is very secluded, which makes its charm, but can also be perceived as a defect… It is located about twenty kilometers from Egilsstadir, the bus stops just ahead!. Possibility of very large ballads in the vicinity. The passage of cars on the nearby road is very little annoying in my opinion. There is also a small swimming pool of about ten meters, closed at the moment but which is open in the summer of July and August!

This place was a hidden gem for us. We're rving around Iceland and weren't expecting much in this desolate section of the country. The camp site had a shower, pool, hot tub, and restaurant. The kind owners even let us use their Teepee with a fire pit (wood included) to hangout in. 5/5 would camp again.
