A very nice hotel with a great location and wonderful rooms!

Beautiful hotel near lots of hiking. Great restaurant for dinner and delightful breakfast. Only disappointment was no black out curtains in our room which means 5am looked like high noon in July.

Nice place especially if you have a room with view on the Fiord, however the restaurant service is not at the level of the price! Service need to be improved for this category of Hotel and restaurant.

The staff were really rude and despite paying 602 euros for 2 superior rooms with ocean view, we were given the wrong room (normal room with no Fjord view). The reception lady was really rude, had no clue about the area and they were really unfriendly. Avoid this hotel at all costs! There are much nicer places to stay in other fjords.

Wonderful place and customer service… unlike the Foss im Nupar… highly recommend Eastfjord Foss.

Impressive hotel that represents the origin of the house pleasant + appropriate. Visit to the small museum included and recommended to look at. Very good beds and blankets.

Wonderful hotel. The museum attached was interesting and the restaurant was incredible. Beautiful views in a charming town.

Have not stayed at the hotel but it has a small beautiful interesting museum that I can recommend.

One of the best hotels I've ever been at. The dishes at the restaurant are really good, although they are a little bit expensive even for Icelandic standards. But the best best thing was the view of the fjord (especially at sunrise).

Top notch place. I'have been there 5-6 times and I never have never been disapointed.

Nice room with everything. The little museum is quite nice. However the city is quite smelly (fish) so you cannot really open the window The restaurant is expensive without many choices. The breakfast was fine but with less choices than in other Foss hotels.

Fantastic hotel. Very nice and clean and the restaurant was wonderful! In a very cute and quaint town, with nice surprises. I would absolutely stay here again.

In terms of the services provided, the price is very real. Rooms are spacious, clean and warm, and the calculation of the decoration is beautiful. Also overlooking the beautiful fjord, very good quality. With a complimentary nutritious breakfast, guests can also visit the very interesting French hospital/fishing village Exhibition (because the house is converted from the hospital), although it is also fast to frighten me, but living here is very worthwhile.

The best hotel we stayed in, by far! Rooms, staff, breakfast and location where just perfect AND affordable. We had a view over the lake, met the hotel manager who was just too kind and let us try the Iceland shark dish. There is a French museum that connects the two building accross the street, small but nice to visit. This is included for guests. Breakfast also one of the best we had during our road trip, a lot to chose from and the cook is continiously checking if all is well. 5 stars, no doubt!

My favourite stay during the trip around Iceland. Very friendly stuff, outstanding view and lovely breakfast. Highly recommended place to stay.

Clean small hotel in very quiet location. Located directly on the waterfront. Friendly staff. Again at any time.

Spacious rooms with excellent kitchen service. We eat salmon and chocolate cake, all delicious. It also includes a museum about the French fjords.

This was my favorite stay in Iceland. The rooms are just gorgeous and we really appreciated the warming racks in the bathroom. The location is perfect, right on the harbour. The breakfast was simple but very tasty… we appreciated not having to purchase food for one meal, as food in Iceland is very expensive. Would highly recommend staying here and visiting the East Fjords :)

This hotel has a special charm. In small houses. Rooms in detail.

Located right on the water with beautiful view of fjord. Room was nicely decorated. Bed was super comfy. Bathroom was a little cramped, only a curtain separating shower from toilet so water got everywhere. TERRIBLE water pressure and no toiletries :c But would still recommend.

Pretty rooms with a stunning view across the water. The area was once a French settlement for foreign fishermen. The beautifully repurposed hotel used to be a French hospital and has a small museum giving detail on this history. There is also an excellent French restaurant.

A delight. Definitely a very good hotel with good rooms and very good views of the fjord. Enjoy a spectacular breakfast on the shores of the fjord. Preferred.

The fishing village has strong connection with France historically. In the hotel, there is a small but wonderful museum exposing the fishery village history. Btw, please try to avoid hurting any small animals when driving at night.

Review is for L'abri the hotel restaurant. Quite restaurant for dinner. Recommended to us by the host at hotel bjarg as this is the fanciest restaurant in the area, which isn't saying much there are only three lol. Tiger prawns were probably the best I've ever had, perfectly cooked. The views are spectacular.

A lovely themed hotel of an old French Hospital converted into a hotel. It has two buildings, one the reception and one for the rooms and restaurant. They are separated by a road. There is a path under the road connecting the two buildings which is a sort of small museum. The restaurant and the rooms have excellent views of the fjords and the ice capped mountains in the distance. A fabulous place in a cute little town.

Amazing location, facilities, staff… And best restaurant in town!

Small hotel in this small coastal town. Consists of a few rooms, since it is an old hospital rehabilitated, which gives a charm even higher. Very welcoming, just like the people who work there. The hotel restaurant is excellent and you can check it on their plates, the French influence in the area.

Fabulous and attentive French-inspired theme for this historic site.

It was a very pleasant place to stay for a night or two :).

Most wonderful hotel, lovely staff and the manager Sirry can not help you enough. 100% worth the money. Beautiful.
