Room was OK (tub was a bit dirty when I got there, faucets made a terrible noise when they were on), staff lady didn't speak English and only poor German, owner was unreachable the whole time.
After several weeks of online reseach, our family, with a baby, finally found and reserved via an online accomodation homepage a specific room/apartment („Grand”) with 2 separate rooms for 3 nights at the Villa Cecile pension in Sopron, Hungary. As it turned out and has been confirmed by Villa Cecile, the accomodation prices are much cheaper when reserved directly via the management. So, we cancelled the online reservation and made direct reservation via phone for the specific „Grand” room which has been of course confirmed to be reserved. Once, due to illness, we had to postpone the reservation for anoother date, but this has been confirmed without problem, with our notification that the reservation is specifically for the same „Grand” room. On arrival, the lady from the management reported that by mistake they have given the „Grand” room for another guest, so they cannot help it. The given room was of a different type („Albion”), with a couch and a double bed instead of two double beds and consisted not of two separate rooms, but of an average size and a small room connected by an arch, this way a one area-room. As we reserved specifically for a separate two-room accomodation, we were unsatisfied of the situation, so, reccomended by the management itself, we quickly checked whether the vis-a-vis pension had free rooms of the wanted type. It was a full house.

We spent a lovely 4 days there. The room was enormous, big bed, nice bath, balcony. A nice kitchen to have our breakfast in. Close to the mountains, so we had a lovely walk to Károly-kilátó. Also very close to the town center, appr 20 mins walk. The neighborhood, Lővérek is leafy and quiet, especially lovely in autumn, when we went. I can only recommend the Villa and the lovely caretaker lady!
