Review of Eurostars Palazzo Zichy 4*

I can't speak too highly of this hotel. Firstly we got a room for a very reasonable rate. The room was quiet, clean and well appointed with a spacious bathroom including a walk in shower. Various toiletries were provided and the shower was fully adjustable and easy to use. The buffet breakfast had a long serving time and there was a very good selection of different items to suit different tastes and dietary considerations. The thing that made this hotel stand out from others we've stayed in was the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. This goes beyond hotel related things, & includes ordering taxis, booking restaurants, giving the best routes by public transport to various places within the city etc. The staff on reception speak perfect English and most of the other staff in the hotel understand English as well. They seem to do their utmost to meet any requests for a certain type of room if requested. If you prefer a room with a bath it's best to ask when booking as most rooms have showers. The hotel staff take pride in the appearance of the hotel and were very quick to resolve a problem in our room (caused by me stumbling and pulling the curtains off the hook). The one thing the hotel doesn't provide is a kettle & tea/coffee in the bedrooms but we took a travel kettle and our own supplies (there is a fridge in the room). Up until 5pm in the day free tea/coffee and mineral water are provided in the lounge bar while is a great facility when arriving back after a day out. If we return to Budapest we would definitely stay here again.
