AREA: Little mom and pops run motel in center city. A bit of a walk to nearest subway station which we didn't mind but had our guard on when walking back in the evening. The neighborhood goes dead quiet and can feel a bit haunting. Now I will mention the good and the bad in all fairness: ROOMS: are clean, bedding is clean, bathrooms were gross, don't expect mini shampoo bottles just a soap provided. They will tend to you if you ask No safebox and no fridge! This was definitely a problem for us regarding our money/ passports and also perishable snacks. SERVICE: was good. Staff were helpful and accommodating when we communicated with them. They changed our room due to a broken bed. They provided extra towels and even a blow dryer which I found a nice gesture. BREAKFAST: was acceptable and available as an add-on option (€8) although it was the same thing in our 7 days, the milk stays out long without cooling and one morning I discovered spoiled cucumbers which was unappetizing. ++ BUT there's espresso at least and it saved me. WI-FI: as advertised is sorta false. Nearly no room is in range and only the lobby receives any bars. So we had to walk down for connectivity and we'd lose it up in the room. But free it was. STAFF: They will give you a map, directions, helpful tips and hints, storage room, extra checkout time if you ask nicely Building is old and they try to keep it lively, windows didn't lock in either of the two rooms but we didn't particularly have a safety concern. On the plus side, they had a person on night shift awake and available and they locked the doors after midnight.
