Fabulous hotel. Very clean and our suite is lovely. The staff are very helpful n friendly.

Excellent structure, a monumental entrance as the original façade has been retained. Inside it fully deserves the 4-star superior, lobby with elegant gallery, beautiful spa with rooftop pools, heated and outdoor covered. Large rooms equipped with many comforts. Modern style with simple tones. The only flaw is the noisy bathroom aerator. Rich breakfast in a very nice room. Attentive and precise service. It is located in the Jewish quarter and in the evening you are in the heart of the local area. For the rest close to everything and well served by the means. I recommend it.

Booking requests will be ignored, even with multiple attempts. If the problems start with the booking, I don't want to know how the service is on site!

I worked for this company for 4 months and they didn't pay me the last month's salary and the holidays. If you are looking for a job, please don't work in this hotel, these people don't pay! And if you want to stay in this hotel, I tell you that the kitchen is disgusting! It's dirty and the cooks don't clean, I say this because there are many things in that kitchen that don't have the quality you're paying for!

This was my 4th trip to Budapest, and this was by far the best hotel I have stopped in. Great location, very helpful and friendly staff with good English. Brilliant breakfast every morning too. The rooms were very clean as was the rest of the hotel. Loved wellness centre also, perfect to go to after a day of sightseeing. Brilliant view of the city from the rooftop pool. Room was very warm but nothing opening the window can’t sort out. Would highly recommend this hotel and I will be staying again.

It was really nice not too sure about the pool area should probably open both but our stay was really nice and the massage was really good too…

Be aware there are noisy renovations being undertaken which stopped me recommending this hotel. On arrival we were happy with our original room which was spacious and clean. Renovations were supposed to start at 10am but on the first morning it was before 9am. We asked to move to a quieter room but had to lose our upgrade. New room and hotel were clean and quiet. Location was good.

Amazing place to stay in the heart of Budapest. Very stylish superior rooms. Bar area is so lovely, the old building is very interesting. The rooftop spa area is a lovely area to relax.

My mom is disabled and the hotel staff did everything in their power to accomodate her so thank you for that. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone going on a trip to Budapest.

The Hotel itself was beautiful. Great breakfast, the room was modern, clean, good AC and quiet. However, the name of the hotel on the front of the building was so small we missed it. I would suggest a large flag with the name on it. Something with eye appeal. The roads are very tight. Hard to drive to it. I would not use it again for these reasons unless I come by Taxi.

We had a lovely stay. The room was spacious and well-appointed with a very generous bathroom. The hotel was within walking distance of most historic sites and close to the ruin pubs, yet away from the main tourist areas, offering some quiet. Both the breakfast and bar offerings were very nice and we enjoyed the complimentary beverage tickets and wine on arrival. The service staff was very friendly and welcoming. We would enthusiastically recommend the hotel again.

We stayed at the Continental Hotel Budapest for 6 nights The experience my wife and I had at the hotel overall was fine. The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. However it was certainly not a 4 star plus standard as promoted by our holiday company, Jet 2 Holidays. There are standards you expect when you choose a hotel with a 4 star plus rating and unfortunately the Continental fell short on that. My wife and I looked forward to seeing the sights of the beautiful city of Budapest and also spending relaxation time on the rooftop sunbathing area and pools. The most disappointing element was that if we wanted to use the Hotel's outside roof terrace, hotel internal and external pools, you had to pay extra for that (8 euro per person per day). When we were informed of this, we checked our holiday company booking and there in the small print was a line about extra charges for the wellness centre. Therefore in principal we did not use any of the hotel facilities and as such can only conclude our review as a three star facility at best. The hotel rooms are fine however no balcony/outside area available to the room.

Great hotel with convenient location to public transport and the hop on hop off bus red route — stop number 9. Used the spa every day and the gym a couple of times. Very helpful staff who gave us good advice and made meal reservations for us at nice restaurants. The room was a little small compared to some hotels but it had everything you needed and was clean. The air conditioning worked well which was needed as it was about 35 degrees when we stayed. Breakfast was great with lots of choice of food and drinks.

A really lovely hotel and perfectly located for exploring the vast delights Budapest has to offer. Staff were friendly and any requests were fulfilled. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was just what was needed to set us up for the day. Unfortunately we only used the Spa once but it was so delightful to be able to take a dip in an outside pool and sit in the summer sun before hitting the amazing nightlife. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend 5/5! Would definitely return if lucky enough to head back to Budapest.

Well, since when do you need to pay extra (8 euros per person) to use the pool?
I have not found out about this until I got to the pool, it was not mentioned on the agoda website, on the reservation details or even when I asked the receptionist where is the pool.
This is pretty unusual as it is, and on top, not telling you about it. I hope my review will be seen and be (the only) warning sign before somebody else will be mistaken.
Besides that, good location, clean and nice.

Nice quiet close to the tourist Cartier, tram; breakfast OK attention the room is a little bit too small but before 9am is nicer.

Great facility… In a historic building; location near the centre.

The experience was positive and exceeded expectations. Prior to checking in, the concierge contacted us offering assistance, and then provided information on airport transfer options and costs. The rooftop terrace and outdoor pool afforded a great opportunity to enjoy the sunset over the skyline of the City. This feature is uncommon among Budapest old city centre hotels. The property has a very well-equipped and well-maintained fitness centre. On our second visit to the hotel, the manager provided a complimentary bottle of wine for our enjoyment… a rather nice touch. Staff were courteous and responsive, and the airport transfer service by Elite was efficient and reasonably-priced.

Very good place to stay and the staff were very helpful and professional. Only 2 small things that could be improved: 1. The air conditioning in our room was a bit noisy and not as cold as we would have liked — maybe it needed servicing. 2. When we were out during the day we left the key in the slot so the air conditioning would be on and the room would be cool when we returned. On both days the room cleaner took the key after cleaning the room making a warm room when we returned and a trip back down to reception to obtain another key.

I have just returned from my first trip to Budapest during which I stayed at the Continental Hotel Budapest. This is a great hotel in a great location, everything we did was within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful, with an email from them in advance of our stay to offer private transfers from and to the airport and to advise of offers and trips that could be arranged. We used the transfer service and the driver was prompt and very friendly. We arrived an hour before check in and were shown to our room and as we had an evening flight home, were given access to the roof terrace and facilities. The room was spacious and clean and the bed huge and comfortable, to the point that it was a challenge to get up in the morning! We opted for breakfast included and were pleased that we did, lots to choose from (I'm vegetarian) and very tasty. Overall, a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this lovely hotel. This is exactly where she's going to say yes! Luxurious place as it is supposed to hotels of such class. Very nice and clean There are very few people. The average check is above average, but it's worth it. The pool is gorgeous. The interior of the rooms is no different from the photos on the site. Especially if you look at the photos from what ruins was created all this beauty.

Level Hotel in the Jewish Quarter area (near the Dohany synagogue), then fairly central. Well-recovered historic Building, a great job. Rooms well furnished and equipped with all comforts. International Breakfast with good choice. Staff not very talkative but polite.
Recommended to all.

This hotel is in a great location in the Jewish Quarter and only a 15 minute walk from the Chain Bridge. The staff was fantastic and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. The breakfast was also wonderful and they even had fresh gluten free bread for me each morning. My only complaint is that the air conditioning in our room never got cold enough. We would turn it to the maximum coldest temp, and I even had the staff check on it once and apparently it was working correctly, but the room never even got down to the temperature we'd set it at. It was 85 and sunny our entire time in Budapest, so I'd hate to be there when it's even warmer!

Very friendly personnel, services and accommodations. The hotel is at a very good spot in the city, close to the Metro and in 10 minutes walking distance from the center square. The pools are nice, but not heated in-case that is something one wants, at least not during the period I was there (May) where temperatures outside vary between 22-30 degrees. The Jacuzzi is a nice ad-don but not very comfortable to be in. The room was good with OK prices for the "mini bar". The breakfast was fantastic with a huge variety to choose from. We found the bed to be the best bed we ever slept on. The bathroom can use some improvements on hangers for the towels, the option to turn on the heater to dry the towels and a small leak from the "window" of the bathtub that allowed water to go on the bathroom floor. But those were minor things. There are 3 elevators that help with traffic situations, at least during weekdays I had no waiting time to move around floors. Airport transfer offered by the hotel is a bit more expensive than other private ones, but it is convenient and the drivers were very nice and friendly, with a small exception the one driver who drove us back to the airport the last day, where he wanted cash and no credit due to "commission is too much for both of us" and was not eager to cut a receipt. I had to go in the airport find a machine and withdraw cash to pay. But overall it was a great experience and we both loved our stay there.

Nice Hotel, but impersonal. People at the front desk rude and untrustworthy.

The Hotel Continental Hotel Zara is located in a quiet area, with little activity, just a few steps away from points of interest such as the synagogue and a 10-minute walk from the historic centre and lively neighbourhoods. Nothing to complain about the reception. The rooms are not very spacious but well decorated in a rather modern style. No problem of soundproofing. The breakfast buffet is very good, without being exceptional. We really enjoyed the rooftop terrace, with its two swimming pools (one indoors, one outside), its sauna, its Jacuzzi, and its view of the rooftops of Budapest.

Had a great 3-night stay at The Continental last weekend. Beautiful building with a rich history, highly professional and friendly reception and the room was just as you would expect of a 4, 5 star hotel. Checked the mattress for signs of bugs, found nothing. The hotel is literally just around the corner from the active nightlife of the Jewish quarter and a 10 minute walk from busy shopping streets and tourist sites, but secluded enough that neither nightlife nor traffic caused too much noise. High quality breakfast with good allergy marking and gluten-free alternatives. Overall great experience staying at The Continental.

Very good hotel, great structure, good rooms, restaurant and spa. Really a relaxing space within the city. Despite being very crowded and with several events in its halls, the service was excellent, and we had no problem during our stay. Plus they were especially attentive at our checkout, storing our bags, offering access to the spa and calling a special airport transfer by appointment. The location in the Jewish quarter is good for those who like the hustle and bustle of the funky bars around, but it's also not that far to get to the most touristy part of the city. Only caveat is the shower door that could be better fenced so as not to spread so much water.

We stopped at the Continenental Hotel for 4 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, especially the concierge who gave us tips on where to go. Our room was comfortable and clean and the housekeeping team were great. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful with both hot and cold dishes to choose from. The hotel location was great for us and only a short walk to some top attractions like the New York Cafe, the Jewish Synagogue and the Hop on Hop off buses. The area contains many great restaurants and bars and if you want traditional Hungarian food with entertainment the Lado Cafe is a must. Would definitely stay here again if in Budapest.

Hotel is located near most attractions (pleasant walking distance) and there are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes just a step away. Service was excellent and the facilities were overall very good. It was lovely to have the spa facilities included in the room rate. Additional massage service was great. The only real downside was poor soundproofing and noisy maintenance works early in the morning. Definitely not a pleasant experience when you want to enjoy longer lay ins on your holiday.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location was great and the hotel generally seemed quite good quality. That said, our shower was slightly clogged which meant that every time we showered we ended up standing in a quite deep pool of water. We complained and the hotel said they’d fix it but they never did. Also, our room was incredibly hot (especially considering it was March and cool outside! ). When we asked if we could turn the air conditioner on in our room, reception suggested we open a window. That night we were awoken at 2.30 and 4.30AM by people shouting outside the window in the property adjacent to the hotel. When I asked again whether we could turn the ac on in light of the noise outside, the hotel said no and (although sympathetic) didn’t do anything to help our situation. Overall, an okay hotel but if given the opportunity to visit Budapest again, I wouldn’t stay here.

Good location and some interesting architectural features. Very clean. However, uncomfortable stay in our room with lumpy hard pillows and small, low beds. Badly designed bathrooms where you soak the floor every time you shower, no matter how careful you are trying to be, but the flip side of that was lovely strong, hot showers. Some staff helpful, particularly on reception and on the door. Don't assume you can use the pool when you stay here — that was €8 extra. I've never stayed in a hotel where that happens before. In their defence, this is probably made clear when booking — we were part of a tour so bookings were done for us in advance. Disappointing though!

Great ambiance. At night, however, always noisy people on M in place. Therefore with open window to sleep impossible unless mat earplugs.

Excellent hotel very helpful concierge service. The hotel desk staff are professional but at times seem bossy towards the concierge. Rooms comfortable quiet. Restaurant attached to hotel and top floor health suite with pools. Slight negatives are pool opening times are not good with no bar facilities anywhere in the hotel. This makes it feel more of a business hotel but I really appreciated the help with helping address issues with our return to airport. A hotel without a bar or casual eating drinking area makes it less inspiring for tourists. Update. There is a bar just didn't see it…

In the center, the city is all within walking distance. But there are also its nuances. When getting a visa it was necessary that the hotel sent confirmation of reservation to the website of the visa Application Centre. The employee refused to do it despite that my friend almost begged her. As a result, she still fulfilled the request only after our friend-a resident of the educational city of Budapest called her. And from the side of the hotel on arrival we were not greeted by the concierge Chtt would help with luggage and spend up to the room. The room was clean. As well as bath accessories only for one person and there was no hair balm.

This hotel is fantastic! The location is perfect for visiting the city — not far from a subway — but the service is impeccable and what about breakfast! A Plus, the pool "on the roof" and the indoor pool. The rooms are spacious.

The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Spa was rather disappointing as much smaller than the photos promised for that, the breakfast was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable. Would come back but without booking the spa.

You have to get three things right in running a hotel — bed, bath, and breakfast. The rest are extras. I was in a standard double, and the bed was very comfortable; the addition of blackout curtains, easy-to-understand air-conditioning and good soundproofing are good. The bathroom was bigger than it looked and well lit — perfectly decent complimentary toiletries, towels, bathrobes, bath slippers; the water runs hot and strong and very easy to use. The breakfast is large and varied — if you want cake, green peppers etc you can have it, and for everyone else there is the "English" breakfast, continental with hams and cheeses, many types of bread, yoghurts, cereals, juices, coffees etc — the only minus point would be for the quality of fruit on offer, but then it is the end of February. As for the extras, the building is quite beautiful, the gallery cafe is charming with comparatively inexpensive cocktails, the corridors are quiet, and the staff are completely charming. The location is very good — not especially far to anything, and set back from the main roads to be quiet but not so far as to be remote. I will stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at Continental Hotel Budapest, we stayed for four nights and enjoyed a couple of meals at the Araz restaurant. Great food and good to see an excellent selection for gluten free as my husband is allergic. We enjoyed time in the hotels massage and spa facilities and had a romantic couples massage, a salt scrub and relaxing massage, and we went to the roof top sauna, pool and Jacuzzi. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating especially the waiters and the concierge. Pest side, about 15 minute walk to the Danube river. It is located near the amazing New York cafe which serves lovely cakes, coffee, lunch and hot chocolates. I recommend trying the Hungarian coffee — very spicy! The only slight downside to this hotel is in the room — noise from the road, I had to buy earplugs, but I am a light sleeper. There is no bath only a shower in the standard rooms. You have to request a bathrobe if you want it. The room was very clean, with comfortable bedding and pillows. We had an amazing stay in Budapest and would definitely go back to this hotel. Great value for money for a winter break.

The hotel is in a good location. However, the rooms are small and the condition of the furniture leaves much to be desired (twice had to repair the doors in the built-in closet). But the breakfasts are at a good level!

Hotel was really centrally located and short walk from most main attractions. Breakfast was your typical Euro buffet style but certainly had no complaints about the choice of options. Staff were generally friendly and attentive. Room was slightly on the small side with no bath. You could pay more for a Superior room but felt that the room didn't really befit a 4 star hotel status. That aside, the bed was comfy and everything else was fine. The only downside was that the Hotel was currently undergoing some renovation work, which was not indicated when I booked. There was a notice stating that works could be ongoing between 10am and 6 pm. This wasn't initially a problem as we were out sight-seeing for most of the day. On our last 2 days we returned about 4pm after long days sight-seeing. Between 4pm and 6pm there was constant drilling from somewhere near the room. At times 2 drills could be heard and the noise was unbearable and certainly not relaxing. We let it go for the first occasion but the second day we could not stand it any longer. To be fair to the hotel, they offered us to change rooms but as this was our last day it seemed ridiculous to pack up all our stuff, change rooms, unpack and then repack to leave the following day.

The hotel is very nice, the rooms are just like the pictures. Now the customer service is scary, call at 21.30 to apply for a toilet paper and they told me it was too late. The truth is a shame to pay 200 euros a night for you to respond like this. Breakfast was a bit small.

It is a nice hotel. Somehow does not feel 4 stars. Staff was nice and friendly, but rooms were small unless you pay extra and get the deluxe, which will be a bit more spacious. I do couple of yoga inversions at mornings and that was definitely not possible in that room as there was literally no space to move. The rest of the facilities are nice. The gym and sauna area are also pretty small, but clean and new.

Good hotel for city travelers. Central location, very good connection to the metro and surrounded by many good local and restaurants of any kind. Breakfast buffet offer international and varied, however it can be very crowded and restless at peak times. Standard Room category of the place offer not lavish but completely sufficient. Service in the House very good. Staff very friendly and helpful.
We were there for three days and we felt comfortable.

Great service. The only complaint I can have is that the room we were given did not have access to the floor by elevator. But the rest of attention and service was exceptional.

Good location (350 meters from the red Metro). Very Noisy. Beds really and blankets really little suited for a 4 star superior. The restaurant really excellent. Breakfast Small small indoor Spa.

Good hotel. The location is quite good, and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend it to someone who needs a nice, comfortable, easy experience and isn't too concerned with higher amenities. No real complaints, but it wasn't outstanding. A solid example of what it is.

So my wife and I stayed here for 3 nights, for the Xmas markets. The hotel was clean, for the most part the staff were very nice and attentive. However we went to the restaurant one evening and waited nearly 45 minutes to get served. It wasn’t full. Just priorities were wrong as people walked off the street and were served before us. If you like a hard bed, then your fine. The shower doors don’t meet, so be careful when you get out as the floor will be soaked. The location to all that’s happening was good for us, as we like to walk. 15 minutes walk to the main market, and Buda Palace, Government building, and all that was happening. Would we use this hotel again? Yes we would, as we have had a brilliant time here.

A spectacular foyer with a revolving door that is a work of art. A breathtaking curved stained glass roof and enormous windows showing into the courtyard. This is a sensational building. We dropped in for coffee and mulled wine in the quiet and peaceful mezzanine level bar. The hotel is close to the New York Bar — a tourist standard and of a similar level but an awful lot cheaper and more restful.

We stayed at the Continental for 5 nights in December. We stayed on a B&B basis, they breakfasts were great, there was a good variety to choose from. The room was cleaned daily. The hotel itself is beautiful. We loved sitting in the upstairs bar looking out over the Christmas tree. It was in a good location for the local attractions. The staff were always pleasant and willing to help.

Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in November 2017. Excellent hotel — very clean and modern and a lovely setting. Staff very helpful and polite. Had drinks and a snack in the bar area — was a little on the expensive side, but then probably no more than most hotels. Very helpful staff and great service Rooms clean and modern — but a little too warm. Close enough to walk to centre of Budapest and felt very safe walking back late at night. I would recommend this hotel for your stay in Budapest.

Just fantastic, just szimpla and so much fun in Budapest!
Staff at the top in case you speak English, Hungarian and German, for the Italian goes wrong, but nothing serious.
Only negative the SPA and gym, I would not recommend the Continental for its wellness area as the staff are always very kind and ready for every need.

Quite ok, good location with pubs around the corner. Funny: Fitness space opens at 9 and coffee is lukewarm.

Hotel Classe, nice building and modern decor, Metro 2 minutes walk, staff at the small care, restaurant offering refined food at an affordable price, and the spa is perfect after a day of stroll.

Like my stay here so far. Convenient location. Great bathroom, spacious bed (though firm for my liking and the blankets are ultra small) nice service. But… The card system is a pain to figure out. Tip: jam the card into slot with force or else it might not work to open doors or elevators. The massage here is so so. It's not as cozy and spacious as other massage places I've been to.

The Continental, built around 1900, was completely renovated in 2010 and has shone in a classic modern splendour ever since. There are interesting things to discover at every corner of the hotel. A glass dome in the lobby, a balustrade, gives the one floor higher a small bear hides a small bear, a roof terrace with sun loungers, a swimming pool with panoramic roof, a display case with gems of the hotence history, etc.
The staff is very nice, the breakfast rich and good, the location perfect. Only the door locks with a chip card do not work decently, after countless attempts you are usually still in front of the closed door after 3 minutes. But the staff are happy to help.

Overall our stay was absolutely brilliant. The staff were some of the friendliest we've ever had the pleasure of meeting and the spa facilities made the trip so relaxing. Parts of the room looked tired and the overall cleanliness left a bit to be desired, but nothing enough to affect our stay.

I feel like we stayed in a different hotel to others but anyway all the staff seemed quite miserable and that they couldn't be bothered to be there. The room was good, bed was comfortable, shower was hot and was all clean. The breakfast was not good the hash browns and French toast were like rocks 3 days in a row. The fruit variety not enough and not enough choice of fruit juice which tasted concentrated not fresh. Had to pay to use the pool and roof spa area 8 euros a day even if you went 2 hours before closing. I think this was disgusting I have never stayed in a hotel in my life where you have to pay to use the pool. Wouldn't stay there again and wouldn't recommend.

This hotel is very nice but there are a few things you need to know. Pro's — Very attentive staff Food Garden space Cleanliness Nice but small rooms 2 pools Con's- You have to pay €8 a day to use either pool Not enough storage in rooms Huge step to the entrance and pools This hotel is not good for disabled! If you cannot get out of your wheelchair like me and get up a step or 2 with help then this hotel is not for you. We were let out of the side door which still had a step and to get in I had to get out and get up a huge step before trying to push through self propelled revolving doors. Once in it was OK but we couldn't get the wheelchair in our room unfolded. And the bathroom wasn't big enough for 2 if you need help. The twin rooms are a little bigger so go for one of those.

Excellent hotel very helpful concierge service. The hotel desk staff are professional but at times seem bossy towards the concierge. Rooms comfortable quiet. Restaurant attached to hotel and top floor health suite with pools. Slight negatives are pool opening times are not good with no bar facilities anywhere in the hotel. This makes it feel more of a business hotel but I really appreciated the help with helping address issues with our return to airport. A hotel without a bar or casual eating drinking area makes it less inspiring for tourists.

A beautiful hotel located in a prime location within Budapest. All members of staff were welcoming, and provided a professional service when needed. There is ample selection of food and drink places, and most amenities are within a walking distance. The surrounding area feels very safe, and the staff were great at helping to organise an itinerary for travel. Of particular note in this Hotel's rooftop Spa/gym facilities, which were splendid on a hot summer's day and eve. I will definitely be returning and giving recommendation to friends and family.

The staff at Continental were second to none, nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel welcome straight away. The rooms were clean and towels changed everyday. The wellness area was clean and well used. We are glad we paid for breakfast as there was a good range of food and we ate enough to set us for a day of exploring. I would definitely visit again.

The hotel is definitely 4 star if not higher. Staff are super friendly and thankfully speak really good English. There was three friends on our trip and the room was more than big enough. The bathroom had both a shower and a bath and the shower was absolutely superb, really powerful and hot. Depending on your room type you can use the pool, gym etc for free otherwise you pay 8 euros per day. We decided to spend our money to use one of the thermal baths instead. We only ate once in the restaurant at night and it was really nice. They were always kind enough to book restaurants for us but they appear to be part of a chain or link with the hotel. The area where the hotel is located is really central to getting into the town centre but out to some of the attractions like the botanic gardens etc. Would stay here again if I came back to Budapest. Thank you.

Nice, great location just 5 minutes from the Metro stop (with 2 stops you are in the center). The rooms are very small and clean. Recommended.

Probably in contrast to the Super Hotel in Vienna, for the same money.
But we took two numbers, both of them dirty, in my own, trimmed nails in the sink, with a partition in the shower, and friends with dirty floors as if dead milk and nails, an amazing coincidence and attitude on incompetant, the previous stay people all They explained in detail, given the Budapest map, we had to ask. There's a crowd and no seats, and the girl at the entrance offered to go to the café, there's less choice, but there are no people at all. Juice-diluted concentrate, tea in the coffee machine, eggs, vegetables, minikejki perfectly edible.

The Hotel is very welcoming and elegant. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and cared for in the furnishings. The staff at the front desk helpful and friendly, always ready to our requests.
There was really spoilt for choice at breakfast time.
Lovers of sweet or savory will have no regrets.
To get to the center we never used public transport, with a 15 minute walk you arrive at the Basilica of Santo Stefano and from there you visit the center. The route is easy and safe even in the evening.
Probably come back, maybe in the spring.

Overall we had a pretty good time at Continental. The pickup service was great and the food at the breakfast buffet was very varied. Regarding cleanliness I would give it a 10, it was extremely clean. I would just point out that the room was a little bit small, but asides of that, it was a really good experience.

A surprise trip to Budapest to celebrate 20 years of marriage. The Continental Hotel was perfect. Our room was beautiful with all a guest can wish. Breakfast was super. The staff is very helpful. Wellness was great after a day shopping. Next time in Budapest we come to the Continental.

The Continental Hotel is a great place to stay while in Budapest. The facility is very beautiful and has many amenities that make a stay pleasant including pools and saunas for relaxation on the top floor/roof. The room was spacious and comfortable with all of the traveler supplies one would expect, shampoo, coffee, etc. The staff was very helpful and provided good suggestions as to local dining and sightseeing. The location is ideal as the metro, cafes and restaurants and many of the sights are within easy walking distance from the property. I would recommend the Continental to anyone without any hesitation.

What can I say, This hotel lives up to its name, came to Budapest to celebrate my daughter's birthday, staff are all friendly and helpful, The room was very clean and comfortable, best night sleep I have had in a while, Great location, Breakfast was lovely and fresh, Thank you for making our holiday so special, would definitely come back to stay again.

Great hotel, lovely clean room, great breakfast and within walking distance of most tourist attractions or couple of stops on underground. The roof pool is a bonus, great for chilling out after walking round city. Would definitely recommend and will use this hotel again in the future.

Wonderful Facilities at reasonably less price compared to other properties. The staff was very helpful in all aspect. Nice location and reachable to most places in Budapest by short distance sub-way journey. Room was bigger, clear and comfortable bed. Will certainly stay for upcoming travel to Budapest.

Great Hotel! Good food in Araz restaurant, connected to the hotel (Hungarian, French and a light Jewish menus) Top floor has pools: 1 outside, on the roof, and 1 inside along a whirlpool and steam pool. Also has fitness and massages. The hotel is very close to the metro, bus lines and tram line. Would definitely return if I return to Budapest.

This hotel is stunning, really, really good and I'd say probably the best I've ever stayed in. The location is great too, very near lots of the City's best sights, and only a short walk from pretty much any of the attractions. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. On the subject of food, the breakfast buffet was DELICIOUS! Everything was incredibly tasty, it was hard not to eat too much. One thing that I would add is that the spa is a little expensive in my opinion (€8 per person per day) considering its size (note that you have to pay if you don't book directly), however everything else is perfect and very reasonable. Hungarian food from Araz restaurant is brilliant and very good value, would love to come back in the future!

Great hotel in a great area. Walking distance from the centre, but also not too far from a quite lively area (Kazinczy utca & Gozsdu Udvar), whilst being a quiet hotel, on a fairly quiet street. The place was clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff were helpful and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

Amazing hotel, great service, very friendly. Thanks for the free bottle of Champagne for my sister's hen party. Food at the restaurant was delish. Only let down was that a female receptionist was a bit reluctant to book us into the No. 1 restaurant on TripAdvisor when asked and was trying to encourage we book with a list of restaurants provided by the hotel, some of which were ridiculously expensive. Would definitely stay again due to the great location too.

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful city with extremely kind and helpful staff. The room we stayed in was cosy, neat and clean. Our bed was very comfortable. Bed linen was the softest we've ever touched. Food was delicious and the choice was huge. There was nearly everything there! We recommend this hotel to everyone. You will be satisfied for sure.

A great hotel that is in close proximity to many sites! The staff was extremely polite. We were greeted at the door every time upon entering and exiting the hotel. The employees at the desk were able to assist us in providing directions, making our sty very pleasant. My cousin and I were able to walk to the gorgeous New York Cafe, the Jewish Synagogue and to catch the Hop On — Hop Off Bus. Definitely worth the price and location!

Everything was perfect: great location, nice and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, wonderful swimming-pool and wellness centre. We also enjoyed some great and relaxing massages. I recommend it without reserve!

Unfortunately we were in the book "free parking" promised for hotel guests, we had but at the check out pay € 18, — per day… Not so bad but then you should get wrong noted it also on the booking!
Otherwise, but was all top! Fine little swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and 2 saunas there is also staying at the hotel. Was really fine :)

It's nice, but I can't say it's great. Comparing to other similar hotels it's nothing special. One thing I didn't like is they charge even for a water in your room. And the Wi-Fi was quite poor and disconnecting frequently during my 3 day stay. On the other hand location is quite good, close to the city center.

My friend and I had a half term break in Budapest and we found the hotel to be very centrally situated. The hotel arranged an airport pick up which was fine and we found all the staff to be pleasant and very welcoming. Daniel was very helpful in arranging and recommending some lovely restaurants where we had some enjoyable meals. The rooms were very comfortable even if they were slightly to warm! We came with thermals and warm hats and scarves and found the weather to be more than 10 degrees warmer than UK. Even though we had rain for 2 days the hotel provided umbrellas for guests. We had a lovely time and enjoyed the City and we will be back in the future.

By far the best hotel I've ever experienced. Greated at the front by smiling staff who answered all our annoying tourist questions. Taken to our room with bags carried. Explained everything about the room and how the hotel works. Rooms are beautiful, amazing beds, fresh bedding even with a pillow menu! Mini bar stocked up, kettle, hair dryer, powerful hot shower which was brilliant after a day of travelling! Bathroom essentials covered: q tips, shower caps/soaps etc. Couldn't find one bit of dirt In the bedroom or bathroom! Pool/sauna/jacuzzi were equally fabulous to have an evening swim, fresh towels in the wellness centre with your own locker (free) to put your stuff in. Restaurant: The most incredible atmosphere, waiting staff and food. Waiting staff know the food and wines extensively so you know you're in for an amazing meal. I was a bit anxious in trying traditional Hungarian food but my waited assured me that it would not fail me and he was right, the most incredible food I've had for a very long time. The staff really make this place special, not once did I have an encounter where the staff were rude or slightly off, they were always smiling being helpful and welcoming 10/10 for service. I couldn't fault anything about the hotel, it's everything I wanted and more. When I return to Hungary I will be returning to this hotel too. You will not be disappointed in this hotel.

Great location with quirky bars just a street away. Room had everything we needed and more, with a powerful shower, well stocked mini bar and very comfy pillows! We unfortunately didn't have time to use all the spa facilities but they sounded great! Service was really helpful and staff were all really knowledgeable about where to eat / things to do. Printing maps and helping buy tickets for the thermal baths. Overall a lovely stay and highly recommended!

We spent 7days in this hotel (deluxe room). Great location (close to center city). The staff was perfect, all we needed, we had it. The conciergerie was very friendly and efficiently. The hotel is splendid (very big entrance), the size of room was good maybe with a bathtub, it will be perfect, room was clean everyday. The only thing we found to improve was the breakfast, not enough varied for our taste and very little pastry. Well if you want a cosy and quality hotel? Go for it! A the end of our visit, we even had a bottle of wine in present! thx again!

We love it. We've been from Tuesday to Saturday and it has been perfect. Nothing, impeccable room has not failed us. Location fantastic for the staff of the hotel. Offer a plan of activities and recommendations of the best restaurants.
