Good hostel, staff friendly, but location affects noise level.

'Cool' hostel in a good location. Our room on the 4th floor was spacious and equipped with a couple of desks and a large window which opened fully (some might call this hazardous but it was a godsend in 37 degree heat). Had a nice social vibe about it — we meet some of the nicest people on our entire trip here — and the staff were friendly. Showers and bathrooms were somewhat basic but perfectly usable. Only real downside is the poor Wi-Fi, so if getting online is important to you (it shouldn't be whilst travelling, imo) then do take that into account.

Cheap place and in the center of Budapest. However the cleanliness of the common areas (bathrooms and kitchen) leaves a lot to be desired. The kitchen is old, half of the appliances do not work and have very few utensils. Some Grays have the springs out, although others are fine.

We had a big room on the 4th floor for 10 of us. Good location (as suggested by the name! ) shared bathrooms was it a problem as there we plenty, although only one of then mens toilets actually had a lock. There always seemed to be a lack to toilet roll as well. Although this wasn't a problem as you could use usually find some in another cubical. Friendly reception staff and a small kitchen in each floor.

Great youth hostel! Everyone is friendly, there are lockers for your stuff, good atmosphere.

Perfect location, very central and comfortable.

Cheap. Easy. Good location. Not noisy and the guest where all nice. Wi-Fi isnt the best but it is free. Windows are very low so you could easily fall out if drunk.

Price and location is awesome. Squaky beds, wooden floors, broken door handle.

Average hostel rooms. Showers flood. No noise policy enforcement. Cramped quarters. Average hostel prices. Exceptional location.

Bed was made out of springs. No heat in the building and no hot water. Door handle was literally falling off the door. Checked out early and will not return.

Cheap, clean and excellent situation in the best part of Pes.

In terms of cleanliness and location, this hostel is what you need. We had a private double room, private bathroom included and it was awesome. Its located downtown and all the tube stations are in walkable distance from it. Clean sheets, kitchen. Elevator is available as well. The best choice you can make for Budapest. The staff is fluent English speakers and very polite.

Although the location is awesome, the hostel lost some of its former glory. Beds are all Ikea Tromsö and in order to gain access to the hostel you have to wear a red paper-wristband. For backpackers, this hostel is fine.
