Mango Inn Resort

Our stay at Mango Inn was absolutely fantastic. We stayed in a standard room for 8 days. It was so much fun and the hotel is so homey. There is water provided in the rooms that can pour hot and cold water, which is SO great! There is a TV and lots of space to put your items. The shower is hot and the toilet works well. The restaurant is GREAT. The pool is deep and located in the center of the Inn. The staff is very kind and caring.

Beautiful, fun, adventurous stay at Mango Inn. We stayed in a standard room at the Inn. There was a water dispenser provided with both hot and cold water. We had cups provided as well. The shower has soap and hot water. There is lots of space to unpack your stuff in the room. There is also a TV. The staff is incredibly kind and sweet. This hotel is gated and is very safe. The restaurant has delicious food and a very good vibe. The pool is deep and in the center of the inn. The only complaint I had would be the thin sheets, but they provided a very comfy warm blanket for nighttime. The location is pretty central to the town. We were able to walk to beaches, restaurants, and other activities the entire time we stayed there.

I was very happy with the value and quality of the shared dorms supplied by the Utila Dive Center as part of the diving package I purchased. The pool was very refreshing on hot days.

We spent 3 days on Utila, me my husband and the 2 kids.
We stayed at the mango inn and can highly recommend it to everyone!
Friendly staff, very clean and spacious rooms and perfect setting just off the Main Street which is quite busy. A little oasis in the busy town.
We were pleasantly surprised breakfast was included and such nice breakfast too!
And the swimming pool was as just a perfect start and finish to the day, laying by the pool and having a little swim.
All in all 10/10

Amazing place to stay if you are diving with UDC dive center. We were upgraded to a room for our whole stay without even asking. Staff was nice and helpful. They speak English at reception if you don't speak Spanish. They clean your room daily and change your towels and bedsheets. Amazing pool area. Free drinking water. Only downside, no kitchen only a restaurant and no lights around the pool but would definitely recommend. Thank you!

Our stay here was alright. I will say the service is amazing, they turn your room every day and the staff are friendly. The food at the restaurant was really good and relatively affordable, probably some of the best on the island, and definitely the highlight of our stay even though I’m pretty sure they aren't owned by the hotel.
There are a few reasons I'm unsure if I would stay here again, and definitely not for an extended period. The biggest issue we had was the noise. We were here to dive with UDC but it was often hard to sleep because locals are at the pool late into the night talking/laughing loudly and with screaming children. The walls and windows do not stop ANY sound, we could literally hear our neighbors phones vibrating and every word of conversation happening outside. It was all much worse on the weekend but during the week was still pretty bad.
The Wi-Fi in the room was terrible, and our shower both leaked and had only scalding hot water for a few days. There is cold/hot drinking water and a TV in the private room we stayed in which was nice. The pillows are uncomfortable but the beds are fine.
The poor-ish room quality would have been way more tolerable if it weren't for all the noise, but it just made things more annoying which is unfortunate.

We stayed with Mango as part of a joint reservation with UDC, and we loved it. This is backpacker hostel, no matter what it calls itself, and reading some reviews it's clear a lot of travelers have been babied when backpacking lol. It is surprisingly quiet at night even around the pool, save on weekends, but expect a stir around 545am when the morning divers head out to get down to the dock. If youre on the ground floor you will hear every step on the wood through your roof.
The restaurant on site is actually fantastic and very affordable compared to the areas along the water, great drinks too.
They turn over your room daily, along with fresh towels, and we never once had any issues with cleanliness or comfort. It's not the Ritz yall, but nothing was ever *dirty* just used over time. Everything has to be shipped/ferried/freighted in so replacing things is expensive for them. Common in the islands.
Definitely recommend a room with the AC unit, as much to dry things out as to stay cool. It was slightly less communal here than I am accustomed at true hostels (I found it easier to make friends and hang with people at UDC), but no fault of the venue. The location is solid for either going up to the chocolate company or down to ferry, and taxis go by regularly and are quite cheap. I will say that there aren't great places to dry clothing, since there are signs asking we not use the banisters (to mixed results/obedience from people), but I'm not sure anywhere would do better.

A very charming stay at the Mango Inn. Our Deluxe Cabin was perfect and spacious for two of us. Staff were all very polite and helpful. The included breakfast was a fabulous way to start the day in Utila. The location is only minutes from the main st in town. We loved walking the residential streets around the Mango inn. We even walked back from pumpkin hill which only took 1 hour to complete. The tuk tuk there was about 7 minutes. Would highly recommend while visiting Utila. High praises for the Mango inn!

This is a no-frills hotel with easy access to the main street of Utila abd the dive shops. Breakfast was decent. Rooms are small but works for young people with backpacks who are there to dive and spend minimal time on the room. It's a tropical humid country so be prepared for tropical insects!

Best hostel on the island. Good rooms, great staff and good food and good vibes. It's really close to all the dive centres. Really close to all the resteraunts and bars. Lovely people working behind the bar. Really helpful when In need of whatever.

Absolutely paradise on earth. Friendly staff and the restaurant is awesome though currently under renovation. Clean rooms with A/c and hot water which is not at every accommodation on the island. The establish Schmidt is partnered with UDC, So if you want to dive you get better rates and this is a great place to get scuba certified.

Mango Inn was perfect. It was close to everything including, markets, bakeries, eateries, and the dive shop. Everything was within 10 minutes walking distance. The beds were comfy. Our room was perfect that with a private deck that overlooked the pool yet still seemed private with all the surrounding foliage. The discounted rate with the UTILA dive shop make the place unbeatable. All the staff was also extremely helpful, even little things like borrowing a knife to cut my pineapple or printing my boarding pass. Hoping to make Utila and annual trip. And Mango our go to!

Good vibes! Everybody was nice, would go back anytime. There’s a nice swimming pool set at the perfect temperature & a chill restaurant with a good menu for everybody to enjoy. Also, our room had A/C which we could set at the temp we desired. Perfect overall!

Quiet AC, housekeeping daily, hot water, great pool and outdoor area. I loved my stay! Quiet neighborhood without street noise. I came for diving at UDC and upgraded to a private room which was so easy and painless. $30/ night for a private double queen accommodation?! Amazing! They also have dorms, and private cabin/ cabanas that are detached. The staff is always super helpful and kind.

Beautiful quaint place with everything you need and great pizza. They cleaned my room everyday day. Easy walk to to Utica dive center and all the restaurants and bars. If you are here diving this is a great deal and I highly recommend it. Yay diving.

I put location as in the middle Star, because it sorry of in the middle of everything. With that said, it might be a little too busy for some people. But if you are going to dive, Utila Dive Center will put you up for free in a shared room w/4 bunks and lockers in front of the pool. Or you can rent a big cabana, with 3 beds for $46.00!
