Terramaya Boutique Hotel

Stayed 3 very happy nights at Terramaya. First thought on walking in was that it was an oasis in Copan Ruinas, and nothing during my stay changed that view. Beautiful, airy, comfortable and quiet. Air-conditioning and ceiling fans kept the room perfect temperature. Tasty breakfast. Wished we could have stayed longer. Well located close to town, walking distance to Copán.

A small and more intimate Hotel on a cobblestone Street in Copan. It features a Beautiful Outdoor Garden and Terrace. Enjoy a very generous breakfast or sip a glass of wine. Very relaxing.

Super beautiful! The staff were incredible — welcoming, helpful, and they kept every bit of the hotel so clean and beautiful! We stayed for several days and really loved the included breakfast and 5 minute walk to the Central Park and so many good restaurants. Because it was set along a small street near the central, it meant it was a very quiet from road noise too.
The beds were big and so comfy! Perfect pillows and each room had both an AC unit and extra blankets too, so you’re set for any weather. Everything about our stay was just amazing! Can’t wait to stay again!

Very comfortable, a few blocks from the town square, quiet, clean, very relaxing and friendly. Secure parking. I enjoyed the stay and highly recommend.

Great location to explore Copan and walk to the Ruins and town square. The owners and staff took excellent care of us from local advice to fabulous breakfasts on their expansive patio. Rooms were spacious, modern and clean. We felt safe and pampered.

Terramaya was our base while viewing Copan ruins and the surrounding area and it was one of the best hotels of our holiday. It is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as it’s location five minutes down a steep hill from the central square requires a reasonable degree of fitness. However, we were very happy with the location on a quiet street.
Rooms are very traditional but extremely comfortable and everywhere is spotlessly clean. Lots of space in the room and we had a large balcony overlooking the garden and valley. Well equipped with tv, safe, daily filtered water, great shower and nice fluffy towels. Breakfast the best of our trip with fresh fruit, and choice of eggs or pancakes, juice, bread, and coffee.
The owners who speak English are very helpful with suggestions of things to do and they also found us a very good deal for our onward transportation. There is nothing we would change and would be very happy to come here again.

My daughter and I stayed at The Terra Maya Boutique Hotel two weeks ago, and it was perfect! I cannot say enough great things about the hotel, the owner, and the staff. Angela and her husband Howard own the hotel and Angela came by daily to drink coffee and visit in the morning. Her English is excellent, and she’s a very pleasant person. She gave me excellent recommendations on restaurants, tours, boutiques, etc. She is so knowledgeable about the city, and I took all of her recommendations. Each morning we were served breakfast on the patio or in the garden, and it was delicious. The freshest juices, the best bread I’ve ever tried, delicious coffee, and excellent service are just a few of the qualities of this hotel. She has one female staffer during the day to assist with your needs and one at night. Brenda, who works at night, was so thoughtful and helpful. There’s also a young man who stays outside at the outside door at night to make sure you are seen in properly. He helped with any parking needs and bags we had. It’s a layer of security and comfort that’s nice, but I never felt we needed. Our room was huge and had the spa bathtub, which is why I picked this hotel. I wanted a tub. My room had the big balcony with a hammock that overlooked the gardens, which were beautiful. I even had a massage in the private cabana in the gardens one morning. There are so many hotels to choose from in Copan and some are cheaper and some are more.

This hotel delivers on everything. A boutique hotel they offered a 600-+ square foot room with large balcony and hammock overlooking a garden and the mountains. Excellent breakfast served on the terrace. Staff and owners are excellent! They arranged a massage for me on the grounds. Have great recommendations and the staff there are excellent. I will most definitely stay here again. Angela and Howard are the owners and Angela’s English is excellent. She would come by and visit and check on the guests in the mornings and drink coffee with me. A very personal touch. I couldn’t not have picked a better place to stay. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was super friendly. I loved that it felt like our own little slice of paradise!

Beautiful location, especially the views from the brkfst area. We were pleasantly surprised to find a healthy and sustaining breakfast with very delicious house made bread. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was immaculate and well located within a few min walk to the square.

We recently stayed at Terramaya Hotel in Copan in mid-March 2024. I have stayed at numerous hotels over the years but this one stands out as an exceptional accommodation. I communicated with the owner (Howard) prior to arrival and he was very kind and helpful. Upon arrival we were greeted by staff with cool drinks and they walked us to our room and made sure we had everything we needed. Brenda and Sandra were the two staff members that were there every time we needed anything and they treated us with a level of service that I have not experienced anywhere else. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Copan. The hotel is only a few blocks from the town square and you can easily and safely walk from the hotel to countless shops and restaurants (day or night). The room had high ceilings and a balcony overlooking the street and nearby hills. The hotel also serves a great breakfast each morning.

We loved this hotel. Perfect location. We walked to the ruins and to restaurants. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious. The staff was helpful and sweet. We felt safe and well cared for. Highly recommend that you stay here!

We very much enjoyed our two nights stay at TerraMaya! Most of all the staff was super friendly, you could ask them everything and we also got fresh cold towels and home made jamaica lemonades at our arrival! The rooms were also very nice with an incredible view to wake up to! We also got breakfast which was great, fresh orange juices, coffee, bread, eggs, homemade yoghurt and fruit.

Loved this hotel. It's a great location only 2 blocks away from the center of town. Amazing garden and DELICIOUS breakfast. The stand out is the staff. You can't find better service anywhere else. Everyone was so kind and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We had to leave at 5 AM one morning before breakfast would be served and they packed us breakfast to go. This place felt like home. It's a must stay in Copan Ruinas.

We loved our 4 nights here! We had a beautiful, comfortable room with a lovely balcony and hammock. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. They even brought coffee up to our room for us! Breakfast was delicious every day, and great service. Sometimes Macaws would fly in and land on trees in the courtyard!
The location is great, just a short walk down the hill to the town square. (We took a tuk-tuk to get back uphill! )
This was our first stop on a 17 day trip to Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico, and it really got our trip off to a great start.
