Telamar Resort

This resort is a great place to enjoy quality time with family. However, it could benefit from offering more entertainment and fun activities for all age groups. Honduras is a beautiful country, and the resort has a great opportunity to highlight its rich culture and traditions. Incorporating cultural experiences such as Punta dancing and historical storytelling would greatly enhance the experience for visitors and help promote local heritage.
The food quality could also be improved, with a greater variety of dishes to suit different tastes. Additionally, the pricing seems quite high—charging L489 for a basic breakfast feels excessive, especially when similar meals can be found for around L200 elsewhere.
Overall, while the country and location are beautiful, the resort needs further development and better promotion to truly shine and attract more international visitors.

I've been coming here for the last 30 years, The food quality has gone down a lot. But the place is great for a family with kids to have a good vacation.

Very disappointed, 45 minutes to check in, no good entertainment, service is not great. Don't understand how this resort is a 4.2 rating. I will rate this place a 3. Again I'm disappointed.

The place is great for family, kids. Parking lot is limited, you have to walk far away. Overpriced. Great service at the front desk. Good security service. Nice view to the beach from the room.

There are good and not so good things about Telamar Resort. The bad, it's dated. And can be improved. Stayed 3 nights. The guards were stern but friendly, as they should be. The front desk personnel, Samuel, was fantastic. We stayed in the resort rooms near the pool. We had the garden view, and that was perfect. Quiet, lush, and green. Coffee in the morning on the terrace was lovely.
We asked for daily housekeeping (you get a choice at check in) but we didn't get it until our second day. No house phones in rooms, so if we needed change of towels or extra, we had to go to the front desk in another building. Even then, we could not get the extra towel (there were four of us but only three towels), as the front desk said housekeeping would bring it. Nope. We were fortunate to find a housekeeper in the building, and she kindly accommodated us.
The rooms being dated is not an issue. It was the duvet cover that was questionable. It was musty smelling, and I could only use the top sheet as a blanket. One of the beds (nearer to the toilet) had lost its spring that when you sleep on it, it feels as you could slide out of the bed in your sleep. The bathtub does not drain well. Four people showering one after another made it… interesting.
Loved that there was a refrigerator, coffee facilities, hairdryer, and safe. Beds were comfortable enough, but pillows (at least in our room) were great for side sleepers but not back sleepers. Too firm and high. One pillow per person.

Robbed. Money and jewelry gone someone is very lucky I didn’t catch them. Don’t trust anyone. Again I say don’t trust anyone go somewhere else. I am sorry I am here. Ruined the rest of the week. Costa Rica will be a very very bitter memory.

Perfect for families. Pools with slides, splash pads. Next to the beach. All-inclusive was pricey so we bought food at the restaurants in the hotel and also in the surrounding area.
Friendly customer service. Clean and organized.
Will stay here again when visiting Tela!

It’s a terrible place to stay! Food is not good, it’s extremely expensive for such old installations! They have mango trees every which is a problem because there are mosquitoes everywhere; the pool is the only good thing because it’s nice for kids; the villas are too expensive for the poor utensils and old utilities they have! Definitely don’t stay here; or not at least in the villas because they are terrible!

Stayed in this hotel right after Easter and was so disappointed. I am a Tela native and Telamar was top notch back in the late 90s. The property is worn and service is lacking. The shower head in our room needed maintenance and I was told the repair was made. This was a LIE. Whenever we took showers, there were puddles in our room. Overall OK experience but wouldn’t return.

It’s a great place to go but don’t leave any money or important objects on you rooms, the rooms are clean and the pools are well maintained people are friendly a bit expensive compared with Airbnb, but you get all inclusive food the downside was an incident that we left some money on the suitcase and came back an it was gone.

The menu of the food is pessimistic, for what one pays hopes to eat better, the dinner did not combine the truth for a place and name as it is telamar one expects something better, the dinner was slices egg beans meat and a chicken bone can be worked more knowing that the hotel is full.

Super nice the whole place, the very rich food and the attention of the excellent staff.

Cleanliness above all, excellent food, pools with good maintenance, very efficient and friendly staff and the cleanliness of the beach is stunning, I love it and of course I recommend it and will be back.
