Herdmanston Lodge Hotel

This was my third stay in this beautiful hotel. I stayed for a few weeks in January 2026. I am always made to feel welcome and very comfortable and the staff remember you each time you come back. Vanessa is meticulous in her work, professional and goes the extra mile. Suzann really makes sure every guest feels happy with the joy she spreads and she works hard with each guest. The security team is very professional and courteous, Paul, Dwayne and Calvin were really excellent and attentive.

The staff at Herdmanston Lodge is very friendly polite helpful and professional. I was pleasantly surprised by their helpfulness. Special thanks to the security guard on duty Christopher. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again.

Stay at Herdmanston Lodge for 14 days over the holidays. It was good for the price you pay. Rooms are clean, half decent breakfast on the house. Location is prime & quiet. Staff are fairly friendly. Developed a rach on my foot, could be allergy from the detergent used to wash sheets. But, it was gone in a few days, with used of ointment. In all, I would recommend this place & would stay again.

I have stayed in different hotels before, when I came home, this is the first time that I really enjoyed my hotel stay. Herdmanston Lodge is a beautiful hotel, its in a central location, a backpack and sneakers and you can walk to "city center".
The staff were phenomenal, Damon, Susan, Odessa, Sharon, just to name a few, they were friendly and accommodating,
I am going to recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a clean and comfortable.
This will be my go to hotel when I visit Guyana again.

I was very disappointed with the presentation and quality of the cutlery during my recent visit. The utensils were placed directly on the tablecloth instead of being properly wrapped in a napkin, which felt careless and unhygienic. To make matters worse, the cutlery itself was not used but noticeably dirty and heavily scratched. For a dining experience, basic standards like clean, well-presented utensils should be a given, and unfortunately this really took away from the overall experience.

I had an excellent stay at the Herdmanston Lodge Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the security team, especially Paul, Dwyane, and Calvin made me feel safe and well looked after the entire time and their hospitality was top tier. The food at this hotel was outstanding! Odessa and Susana in the kitchen team went above and beyond—breakfast was delicious, lunch was perfectly seasoned. I will be returning in the future. It's truly a friendly, clean, secure, and comfortable place to stay!

Spent a week at Herdmanston Lodge this last week and loved it. If you are looking for a modern all signing all dancing new hotel this is not for you. It had everything we need, it was comfortable, aircon, fridge, safe, they had thought of everything. Great location.
Staff were fantastic. Everyone was very friendlyand tried to make your staya good one. Shout out to the lovely Crystal who helped us out on severall occasions and all the other guys names I have forgotten.
The local food prepared in the kitchens by the ladies was great, ate in the restaurant on several occasions for lunch and dinner. You must try the Cook up rice and plantain.

Dollars are king now, USD. No one is interested in £sterling anymore, so take $s.
Exchange rate is not brilliant however very convenient at reception.
Get a driver to take you around, much safer. Ask hotel previsit to arrange one if they can, we got ours privately through family friend.
You Must visit Kaieture Falls, spectacular. The dodge plane ride for an hour there and an hour back is worth it. Be warned old single prop planes, it gets a bit choppy at 10000 ft in one of those.

Small boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood in Queenstown. Rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. Delicious food especially their breakfast buffet. I cannot complement the staff enough, so friendly and helpful. We wanted to eat a special curry and they found it for us. We felt very safe and we would definitely come back again. Please Don’t change it too much. Love this place.

Excellent hotel. Staff is amazing. Enjoyed the great breakfast every morning with Suzanne who always made sure we had juice or any other item we wanted. Housekeeper Theresa was so sweet and kept our rooms clean anticipating our every need. Daymond gave us direction to get coconut water and then he drove his car and followed us to make sure we found the place ok — exceptional service. He said he wanted to make sure we didn’t get lost. He went out of his way several times to get us places we were inquiring about. He made our stay so much more enjoyable.
The ladies that took care of our reservations before we came-Donna and Alicia were amazing — ensuring our rooms were secure as we were getting in to Georgetown from Houston quite late. I would definitely stay at this beautiful hotel again. Great staff making everything wonderful.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 10-day stay at the Herdmanston Lodge in Guyana. The staff was pleasant and cooperative. The food was also excellent. We enjoyed every day that we were there, especially the breakfast menu. We could not have eaten enough bakes, because we loved it so much. We found the rooms to be comfortable and the price per day was reasonable. Overall, we cannot say enough about the employees and the surroundings. Thank you.

It was indeed a pleasure to stay at Hermanston Lodge. It was my first stay and I will return again. Services by every staff member were excellent. Never had to ask twice for anything. This goes from the office down to the kitchen staff. They were very professional and provided EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will recommend this Lodge to anyone going on a vacation or even a business trip to Guyana.

We had a great stay at the Herdmanston Lodge. Great staff. Breakfast every morning was top notch. The room was cleaned very well each day. We will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful and relaxing, could benefit from some night time entertainment for guests with the open air space and bar that's very underutilized.
Great and professional staff, Dwayne, Chris, Damon, Sharon, Odessa, Paul, Ezekiel, Susanna, Harry, they are willing to help and will ensure you're taken care of.
I like the chance to purchase handmade native Amerindian craft at the hotel, it is a standout thing we haven't had staying anywhere else.
It was a little uncomfortable to hear what sounded like berating of staff by a Manager (Cathy) in the dining room. It was unprofessional, unnecessary and seemed more micromanaging and a poor reflection of leadership. We will come back but we'd like to see respect for and to your workers who ensure guests are happy.

Herdmanston lodge is a cosy, family oriented hotel. Enjoyed a 7 night stay with my family! Thank you to Kathy for your profession yet approachable and friendly manner. We appreciated your thoughtfulness, Kathy always addressed our concerns with a beautiful smile.
The Guyanese style buffet breakfast was most enjoyable; the hotel offers a wide range of traditional Guyanese dishes including the National dish ‘ Pepperpot and bake’. On the whole the food was cooked to perfection although some dishes were heavy on the salt! The house keeping staff were diligent, helpful and friendly; ‘shout out’ to Vanessa! She was very accommodating and flexible. She kept our room clean and stocked up with towels and linen.
The waiting staff were friendly, efficient, and responsive! In particular, Kristal was always very accommodating.
Areas for improvement; The check in process was lengthy and the information provided by reception was little inconsistent.
That said, the overall experience was good and would definitely consider staying again on my next visit to Guyana! Thanks for having us ❤️

Dwayne, Wallace and Paul are amazing. They looked after me during my trip so well and I’m grateful the service is perfect. The food was brilliant and the staff are so friendly. Sharon was really sweet and she insured my room was kept clean. The location is very good because the location is very peaceful. A rare find in Georgetown. Im very pleased with what I saw at the Herdmanston Lodge. I will be coming again!

Staying at this hotel helped to make my visit to Georgetown a very pleasant experience. I had a late arrival into the country on my first night but I was able to arrange an airport pickup via the hotel staff and was assisted by Mr. Bernard Wallace who helped me to my room and answered any question I had. All of the staff members were extremely pleasant. The room itself was clean and comfortable and the complimentary daily breakfast buffet was always delicious. The hotel is centrally located so I was able to easily make my way around the city during my stay. I highly recommend this place.

The stay at Herdmanston Lodge was one to remember as the service from Diane, Vanessa and Odessa was absolutely fantastic. Additionally the security was up to notch, food was lavish and bedroom was comfy and accommodating perfectly suited to our liking. There is so much to say about Herdmanston Lodge that is why I would highly recommend it as it is an ideal destination. The only problem is that I couldn't stay longer🤣. Thank you Herdmanston Lodge for providing our family with an Amazing, Sensational and, Unforgettable week which was one to truly remember. God Blessings to all Hotel Staff 🙏🙏
