Top class hotel with all the amenities to make your stay memorable experience. The hotel also host lots of events and has created atmosphere where it seems you can step out while still at the hotel facility.
If I could have given half a star, I would've done it. The only good thing about this hotel which would give it the half star is thanks to the housekeeping team which manage to keep the rooms clean and tidy.
Otherwise, this hotel is to avoid unless absolutely necessary.
First, it's way too expensive for what it is, I understand that Africa's expensive but it does not deserve its 270 USD/night price.
Some rooms are huge while others are small (same rate). Rooms are extremely basic, washrooms are also very basic with some very visible wear and tear.
First room I was in had some mold in the walls but I personally don't care as long as the room is clean and tidy.
The hotel restaurant is extremely average with nothing special, breakfast is also very average. There is only one restaurant active out of three and it's only outdoors, which is very annoying at night given the mosquitoes, not to mention the very slow service.
Airport shuttle is 20 euros per person for a 15 minute ride. I think that's crazy.
Do not ask for a shuttle to the airport, because they promise you a shuttle but end up giving you a regular taxi. Save some money and ask them to give you a taxi driver instead.
The cherry on top though is the weekday party on the hotel terrace, which happens to be conveniently placed right under the rooms. When I asked the receptionist at what time the party ends, they said "11 PM", the party ended at 3 AM. I did a couple of follow up calls and they didn't even bother answering.
