HHE Express

There aren't many reviews for things in Nuuk, so I'm doing what I can to provide updated information.
I stayed at the HHE express in September 2025 during a trip to Nuuk. My flight got delayed 22 hours, so I missed out on 1 night, but the hotel refunded me that night. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and very responsive over email.
The location is perfect! It is within a 5 minute walk to many restaurants, a 15 minute walk to the tidal stairs for boat tours, and there is a small grocery store on the ground floor.
The daily included breakfast was simple, but sufficient. The full cafe opens at 9am and is a perfect place for coffee, a snack, and a comfy place to relax and warm up. The lobby was always kept very clean.
The room is very simple. The bathroom itself is small, but the shower had good pressure and got very hot. However, the mattress and pillow were extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was very firm and the pillow was very small with no support, which is why I can only give 4 stars.
After I booked the room, I booked airport transfers through the recommended company. Going to and from the airport, the transfer was on-time and very efficient. I would not recommend trying to get a taxi and to just book a transfer direct because taxis can be limited.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again. Perfect location. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very clean.

Clean, modern, and super convenient. Rooms are small but well-designed, with everything you need. Staff was kind and helpful, even helped us book a local tour. Breakfast was simple but fresh. Great location for walking around Nuuk — perfect for a short stay if you’re not expecting luxury.

Fantastic location to the airport. Everyone that works at this hotel is so kind and helpful. The rooms are small, so truly only good for a one night visit or if you are a single person in the room. Not spacious enough for two friends to share a room. The Continental breakfast buffet is very nice and has a wonderful assortment of foods to eat. Hotel and rooms are very clean — very welcoming!

Nuuk is overall small and very walkable, but I thought the location of this hotel was perfect as it was less than five minutes away from the main street while still being fairly close to the docks/water areas. The room was very tiny, but had everything we needed. I loved the view of the street and the mountains, the room had a large window right up against the bed! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast had a good selection. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly the entire time we were there, probably the best Wi-Fi in Nuuk! The breakfast area is connected to the check-in area, and it all basically turns into a cafe during the day. While waiting for our transportation back to the airport, we were able to order a drink and just hang out for a few hours. The cafe was a great space to kill some time, but the bathrooms are locked away in the basement and require staff to open doors for you. There is also a very secure luggage room where we kept our bags after check-out.

Solid hotel in a city with somewhat difficult accommodation options. The bed was comfortable, everything was very clean, service was excellent.
The hotel is very close to the center of Nuuk, you can walk almost everywhere (Hotel Hans Egede, Daddy's, stores, the port, the museums).
Given that it's both in Nuuk, and in the center of the city (thus you safe on taxis/car hire), it's an excellent value. There's a coffee shop/cafe in the lobby, and also a Spar store in the building, which is super convenient.

Location and service are excellent. Our flight got delayed a day and the express was booked. We had stayed here for 5 days. Sami was very helpful, even though he express was booked when our flight got cancelled. She arranged for us to be at another hotel in Nuuk. My only negative is the beds and pillows could have more fluff and the comforters could be more like a quilt. Not uncomfortable, but definitely tools me a little more time than usual to fall asleep.

We stayed for three nights and overall had a decent experience. The room was small and came with only the basics. There were no blackout curtains and the amenities were limited, but the space was clean and functional.
We had booked for two people through the hotel website, but were given a double bed instead of a larger option. We had to ask for extra bedding and towels, which the staff provided after a short wait. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Breakfast was included in our rate. Thankfully we had the invoice with us, because there was some confusion at check-in and we were almost charged again. The breakfast was better than expected. It was simple and tasty, although it did not change much from day to day.
The location was a highlight. There were a few restaurants nearby and most places we wanted to visit were within walking distance. The room temperature was very comfortable and the view of the nearby cemetery was surprisingly peaceful and interesting.
It was not a perfect stay, but it worked well enough for our trip. The friendly service and convenient location made a difference.

HHE is a very clean and friendly hotel in the center of Nuuk. The rooms are very small, but adequate and quiet. The breakfast buffet was a nice mix of boiled eggs, breads, jams, cereal, fruit, tea and coffee.
The staff was so friendly and helpful.
The shuttle from the airport dropped us at the front door.
Short walk into the main part of town as well as the other direction to the water taxi pick up at the waterfront.
Would stay here again.

Beds are hard, breakfast minimal, manager has the worst customer service. She actually bitched at me because a package is being delivered to me today even though I sent a message in advance and check in staff were reminded. Will not be back. At this price point, holding a package for a few hours shouldn’t be a problem.

The name ‘HHE Express’ is actually not giving the right impression of this new, nice, clean hotel in the middle of Nuuk. Nice rooms with a clean and big bathroom. Roomservice every day. Breakfast buffet is simple, but with fresh and variated food. Friendly staff.

Such a helpful receptionist. She let us use the phone to call the ferry people next door.
The next day we were allowed to leave our baggage in storage for free while waiting for the ferry.
All much appreciated.

Nice hotel in the downtown close to the mall, markets, restaurants, and Nuuk historical places. The breakfast is included in the room price and is quite enough. Rooms are clean and lighty. The staff is very kind.

This hotel and the staff was the best! The lady from Philippines (totally forgot her name) was so helpful throughout our stay and gave us the best recommendations for touring Nuuk. The breakfast was also decent and the view for the room overlooking the snowy mountains was stunning!

Good budget hôtel with small rooms. Everything you need is there even if it's smalll. Staff is very helpful. Since the breakfast was 1hour late, they gave us voucher for the café Sumut in the airport. They also got us a taxi called. The hôtel is located downtown Nuuk! :)

Small rooms. Friendly staff. All fundamental amenities are available.
Good affordable "today's dish" in the café / restaurant.
I had a "sea-view" room.

Close to the centre of the city It's a comfortable Place to have a drink. We used bar only.
