Kos Palace

I absolutely loved my stay at Kos Palace. The hotel is spacious, beautifully kept, and has a fantastic pool area with plenty of free sunbeds. The sandy beach is just a 30-second walk away—clean, inviting, and equipped with showers outside the hotel for when you come back. While the beach sunbeds are paid (and often full), there was always room at the pool, making it super convenient.
I stayed in room 504, which was excellent: comfortable bed, spacious shower, a nice balcony, great air conditioning, and a fridge big enough for drinks. The room was cleaned daily, which made the whole experience even more relaxing.
Breakfast is served buffet-style and was amazing every morning with lots of choice. The hotel also offers a complimentary dinner buffet that looked delicious if you feel like dining in.
The staff were wonderful—so sweet, helpful, and welcoming, which really added to the charm of the place. The location is also great, with plenty of car rental options nearby if you want to explore the island.
Overall, I’d recommend Kos Palace to anyone—families, couples, or solo travelers. Between the facilities, the food, the location, and the warm atmosphere, it’s a fantastic spot for a holiday in Kos.

We initially chose another hotel because this one was too far out but it went all inclusive and we did not want this. In terms of reviews, I would agree with the review of ‘coastal’ (plus a bunch of numbers) who provided an honest but fair review of the hotel. The staff are great, especially Anna Marie who is always pleasant and says hello. Everything else is just mediocre. The pool area is okay. If you show up too late, you might not find a sunbed. We ate at the hotel once and paid for our food. It wasn’t anything wonderful to write home about (and it was the first time I’ve got the runs on this holiday). The buses are every hour or every hour and a half in the evening if you want to go into Tigaki. You need to book a taxi between 6 and 8pm or you’ll be waiting half an hour or so. The rooms are very dated and the bed so as hard as rock. There are no provisions for coffee or tea making in your room. We were lucky to be given a kettle by the front desk. You will also have to pay €15 to use the safe. For me, the best bit was the beach which was literally across the road and was lovely. However, there are only a few sun-beds. We tended to park on a sunbed in the pool and then go to the beach for a swim.

My husband, little girl and myself all stayed at Kos Palace the beginning of June 2025. From arriving late to leaving later (nighttime flights) our experience was fantastic.
The staff were lovely, especially the 2 barmen who were really attentive and made fantastic cocktails too!
Rooms were spacious and clean, hotel was clean and pool area lovely. Little busy with people at times however staff were very accommodating at getting us extra beds.
However a special thank you to Anna Maria at reception. She went above and beyond for us and always had a warm welcome and smile anytime we walked past, including to our little girl who was calling her her “best friend” by the end of the week. She is a credit to the hotel and can’t thank her enough for her fantastic customer service!
We would be back in a heart beat!

Reception: Super, efficient and very friendly. Vivid tourist information competence.
Room: Very clean and enough for a basic holiday. Air conditioning does not really work.
Service: Good.
Food: Not very good and also not very Greek and the offer is limited. Practically the same or similar food every day. Fish is rare. If you enjoy eating, I would not reccomend,
Pool: OK.
Sea: The beach area is jst over a road, approximately 10 metres from the hotel, however, the beach is very small as you are so close to the watel, you are nearly lying in the water. You must go to another beach.
Managemnt: If you have a problem, they fix it immediately.
Hotel: It's old and needs full refurbishing but adequate for a middle priced holiday.
Amenities: It offers nothing. Unlike some other small hotels nearby which offer stretching or sports, etc.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting, right across the road from the beach. The pool is also really nice with plenty of comfortable sunbeds and parasols. The lifeguard was very kind and always offered a hand if l needed help getting out of the pool, as l use a walking aid. Our room (402) was spacious with a full sea view and good sized balcony. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was ideal for me as had a walk in shower. Our room was cleaned daily by a lovely lady, and the whole hotel was spotless. We were half board and always found a good choice at each meal, breakfast was always nice. My only wee gripe was the hot food choices could have been a bit warmer. The staff in this hotel are amazing! The two girls and both gentlemen on reception were so helpful and friendly… nothing too much trouble and always interested in your day. The restaurant, bar and snack bar staff went out of their way to give great customer care and always with a smile. We miss you all!
The lady who is general manager was always on hand, over seeing the excellent running of the hotel.

Great service, very clean, great amenities and lots of variety at breakfast/dinner.
Our flight was delayed, so we arrived very late and they had a prepared a full plate of food for us, since we'd missed dinner. That was very thoughtful and a perfect example of the great service offered here.

We booked this hotel for a getaway for just some days and didn't expect much, but were pleasantly surprised.
All of the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, no matter if it is at the reception, the restaurant, the snack bar or the housekeeping. The room shows some signs of aging, bit not in a bad way. The bathroom, the sleeping room amd the terrace was extremels clean and was cleaned every day.
The breakfast aswell as the dinner were really good and there shpuld be something for every taste. We loved that the food has shown it's greek influence and not just the ordinary continental stuff. This hotel offers half-board only, so you have to pay for drinks, but we think the prizes are fully ok. The snack bar offers great snacks, great cappuccino and frappé. It's also in convenient distance to the beach.
We didn't use the pool, but the beach was cozy and clean and even though it is divided from the hotel from the small coastal road, this wasn't really an issue. Sunbeds were comfortable and clean. Sunbeds cost 3 Euros a day and towels 10 Euros if you need them.
It's located around 1.5km away from Tigaki, but you can walk there or just get a rental car to explore Kos. Enough spaces are available right in front of the hotel (at least when we were here). You also have two snack bars in short walking distance that offer drinks and food for low prizes.
Overall a very good experience, especially for the prize we paid. We will try to come back next year.

The hotel is HALF-BOARD ONLY — which might be important to some. The snack-bar and reception staff are the most lovely you can imagine and I could not say a bad word about "customer service". Breakfasts are repetitive and can be quite boring after two or three days. But the dinners are quite amazing.
The cleaning staff does the most — the room was always made, clean and even the floors were wiped, which is not always a given.
Two small minuses:
— the wait staff is heavily biased. Three ladies look over like hawks to greet some patrons, while we had to call "Kalimera! " to them to even get a response. The men were super nice, polite and courteous to everyone, yet the women seemed to prefer some guests over others. This included welcoming them loudly from the doors;
— all drinks during dinner are paid. While I get beer, wine and cocktails, I do not get water and juices (which come from a concentrate anyway). Whatever you choose to drink, you have to pay a hefty price for.
All in all, the hotel is gorgeous and lovely. Super close to the sea, amazing views (unless you're in basement rooms). Perfect for summer holidays, but be prepared for extra costs.

Very noisy hotel mostly from the cleaning staff who starts very early in the morning. Then there is some kind of generator starting in the middle of the night that we woke up too every night.
The water you get 2 small bottles on arrival after that you need to pay for it yourself!
The food is very expensive and not high quality.
Location is good close to the beach were again you have to pay for the hotels sunbeds extra its not included…
The positive thing is the people working in reception and restaurant they are very nice and give good service.

Hotel is definitely not 4 star standard. Rooms are clean but in need of refurbishment. Hotel is quite a distance from Tigaki and the walk there is along a road with little or no pavement. Reception staff and snack bar staff very helpful. Good selection of breakfast items, dinner choices are not so good, they're quite bland and not hot enough. Staff in restaurant congregate around food areas making it difficult to get to service areas.

Hotel although clean is not a 4 star. Still looks like early 1990s, pool tiles need cleaning, rooms need updating and food very bland. The 'town' bar strip is a 2km walk, although not a problem ordinarily, is a hazard at night with the.

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and drinks at the beach bar and pool bar better than in town Kos. Breakfast and dinner had lots of various tastes, every day new dishes and different salads. The only downside is the tasteless coffee at breakfast. Our room was comfortable but in need of refreshing of bathroom. If we wanted to go back to Kos, this hotel would be the hotel — location, sunsets on the beach and bus stop outside.

Super nice place with a great breakfast and dinner buffet. The beach is also very nice, and the stuff, especially in the beach snack bar are so friendly and kind. We loved it there!

Excellent hotel in a wonderful location. The rooms were very clean and were cleaned daily. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The breakfast was delicious. Many thanks to the whole team. We were very satisfied.

Positive: location, rooms, receptionists, food is decent (ice cream in snack bar is excellent), swimming pool well located.
Room for improvement: shades over swimming pool would be appreciated to avoid mid day sunburn, only high premium water supplied to hotel guests (at restaurant prices, literally 4x what other hotels have offered). Grumpy restaurant staff. Television channels are all in Greek or German (something in English other than CNN would be appreciated)

I believe the only reason the Greek government has awarded this hotel 4 stars is because the tax is much higher than a 3 star. There is no way on earth this matches any 4 star hotel that we've stayed in before.
No Wi-Fi in our room, despite us being around 60m from reception. Towels provided are old and fraid. The furniture in the rooms is old and worn.
They charge 22 euro to hire a safe deposit box. I've never had to pay for that before in a 4 star!
The location is very poor. It's a good 20. Minute walk to Tigaki where there is a better beach but it was too hot abd dangerous, due to traffic so we took the bus. That was €2 each way. Then you had €12 a day sunbed hire. The hotel. Boasts sunbeds on the beach opposite the hotel but you pay €3 per bed and the beach is across the very busy road and it's no word than 30 ft wide! The sea is rough on the North Coast, too.
We hired a car and went yo beaches on the South West.
Food was pretty basic. Tepid. Much the same every day. As others have mentioned, no drink is provided with dinner and drinks are expensive.
Staff were friendly and helpful, which is a redeeming factor. 90% of guests were German, who seemed to believe they own the place. Jet2 rep was non existent and provided no help.
Kos wasn't one of our favourite Islands and the position of this hotel was poor. We certainly would not return.

If you want a lovely relaxing hotel to stay in, then Kos Palace is the place for you. Although we arrived in the early hours there was food available for us, but due to the time, we refused. A great variety of fresh fruit and hot foods to suit all tastes available for breakfast and if you are just going to lie at the pool, or at the beach across the road there is a snack bar available for hot and cold foods and drinks. There is a very good selection of starters and food available at dinner time. The room was very clean and kept that way on a daily basis. Plenty of sunbeds and a lifeguard/first aider at the poolside just in case. There isn't any evening entertainment, but if that's what you want then a fifteen minute walk to Tingaki or get the bus there. It's a level road, so an easy walk. The restaurant and bar staff are brilliant 👏 and very friendly. There are a lot of German guests, but no racing for a sunbed as there's plenty available. This was our second visit and we will certainly be back. (T-shirts)
