Our stay at Gkaras Campsite and Apartments – July/August 2025
We spent 11 nights at Gkaras Campsite and Apartments in late July and early August 2025 and were thoroughly impressed with the experience.

We had a wonderful summer vacation at Gkaras Camp & Apartments. It was our first vacation in this part of Greece and we are happy that we found such a green and peaceful place to stay.

The location is unbeatable, right in front of the sea. The restaurant area has a great atmosphere and is perfect for enjoying your meal with a view.

I do recommend the service. Just don't order the menudo. I think it is canned and the meat was kind of tough.

Situated right above the main square of Makrinitsa, featuring wood & stone based rooms, very warm and well equipped for cold winter nights.

Amazing hotel staff! the restaurant and the sea is magnificent 👌 😍 😋

We had a great time at guesthouse Machi. It's situated very near the beach, in a charming quite village, also a perfect location to explore the area.

A very well kept place. Big rooms, very clean, and the highlight — a nice balkoni to sit in and relax. A wounderfull beach is nearby (20 paces, no more). Recommended for who wants to research Pelion.

The best choice. Very clean, cute staff, spacious rooms. It was a great holiday!

A nice hotel. Out of season they gave us a better room. Pitty that at breakfast they had so few food options for vegetarians.

The hotel is great! The staff is excellent! We had a great time staying at the hotel. Housekeeping is cleaning the rooms every day and we had clean towels every single day.

Our 6th visit to this hotel. They recognised our name on the booking & upgraded us. So when we arrived they took us to our suite as they wanted to see our reaction, the suite was amazing.

We stayed at Hotel Panorama Inn one night to make a break on our trip to Lefkada, as a family of 2 adults and 2 children. We took a double room with two rooms connected.

The hotel is very clean, the staff are professional and friendly on both shifts. It’s located close to the beach, easy access to shops &cafes.

An older hotel but clean and spacious. Made me think of a convention style hotel — with a large footprint and only a couple of stories. Nice pool and bar area.

We booked 2 rooms, for 4 nights during Christmas holidays.

This property is absolutely beautiful. Just a 4 minute drive away from the main road and downtown Kalabaka, but with stunning views of the valley and the rock formations.

Great location with a view of the Meteora Monasteries. Peacefully situated just outside the town center, about 15-minute walk. Parking in front of the guesthouse.

We stayed here overnight during our visit to Meteora (which by the way means suspended in the air or lofty in Greek).
In any case, this is a lovely, charming hotel.

The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Its garden is marvellous.

Beautiful and charming big house, lovingly furnished with a more than well-equipped kitchen. Great big garden with plenty of shady spots. Very quiet place with friendly and helpful neighbors.

Ananti resort is good value for money. It is situated in a great location overlooking a beautiful valey and offers a chance for relaxation and adventure depending on what you seek.

The infinity pool is beautiful, though there were no sunbeds by the pool in October. The room was lovely with a nice view, and the restaurant also offers a splendid view.

I booked the big house to celebrate my birthday and we all loved it. We had a barbecue, played games and laughed a lot. The house was very comfortable for 9 people (plus 2 guests while celebrating).

The Hotel is right next to the center of Litochoro, the Staff was very nice and the rooms are individual and the two we saw were beautiful.

Arrived at 2200, parked in the street, we called and got the code to the room. If we didn’t have a local number that could’ve been a problem.
The room is rustic, the breakfast was basic and nice.

Too crowded, tents are very close to each other. Beach is full with urchins.

What an amazing place! Its hard to know where to start! The view is breathtaking, trees everywhere and the overlooking at the sea which is only few minutes drive. The accommodation!

We were at aroma piliou hotel for five days, the first welcome were special and made us feel at home. The rooms were clean 5 star and were well cleaned every morning.

You have to use an elevator to go up because it's really high up and after that you have to climb up a lot of stairs to get up even more. For some reason the pool and blue bar were not working.

The hotel is right on the seashore, but it consists of several levels, if you have elderly people next to you, be sure to check which part you are in. The first part is very close, and the building
