Autumn in Elati is magical, the views of the mountains the colours the sound of the running water in every corner. Coming back from wandering in the woods to the warm and cozy rooms of Mikri Arktos (ursa minor) was a treat. We booked the room after a recommendation by a friend for its quality and good price and we weren't deceived. Double room with a comfortable size bed with its own chimney and a bathroom with jacuzzi. The room was squeaky clean with central heating all 24hrs and plenty of wood for the chimney. The breakfast was a real treat with preserves made from all types of local fruit from the owner's mom Mrs Anastasia, eggs, bread and not least the pie (spanakopita! ). We had spinach but they change everyday, and kek (bundt cake) all made by hand. The hotel is in a quiet part of the village away from any noise coming from the road or anywhere but the koziakas birds. The room was awash in sunshine all day (second day treat! ) so we took advantage of Nasos and Andreas advise (always available and helpful) and made a walk in the woods in Pertuli. All days (and they seem very few now) ended up in a gargantuan feast (also Naso's advise) but we'll talk more about this in other posts. This hidden gem of scenery in the middle of Greece is worth every second of your time!

This small hotel is located in the beautiful village of Elati. The location of the hotel, close to many mountain paths, made it an irresistible option to make our treks between colorful oaks and coniferous forests (it was November). The friendliness and good service of the hotel staff has allowed us to discover walks and fill the fireplace with firewood every day. The room was cosy, comfortable and has central heating and fireplace. And the products of the land that are served at breakfast, especially jams and homemade pitas, contributed to that our days will start with an unbeatable taste of mouth. In short, a highly recommended place to spend a few days in the Greek Switzerland of Pertuli.
