Very bad experience! We booked a room of Kaleidoscope Cave Houses hotel. When we arrived to Santorini, the person from hotel met us and told that the room is under constraction and we had to take another accomodation. They forced us to an old house with electrical problems. The owner didn't inform us about changes before our arrival. The breakfast was not served, we had to cook it ourselves. Every half an hour we experienced electrical cut, and couldn't use jaccuzi. We didn't dusturb the owner and let "room the chance". Lately they told us " why we didn't inform, they would fix electrical system". Not many people on holidays want to see electrician in their hotel. Finally electricity stopped and we couldn't have even coffee in morning. We walked to Kaleidoscope rooms, and looked around. The photos they present are not realistic. The jaccuzi tubes are old and small. Rooms are not in the peaceful place. They are next main road in Oia, so there is no privacy. All tourists watch you while you are in tube. The "terraces" are on street level, you see all tourists' feet. If you finally get to Kaleidoscope rooms (and nowhere else), check their dishes. The frying pan they use for omlettes are dangerously scratched and old. We asked compensation — to return us money at least for one night. The owner said that they want to offer us any dates we want before May. We sent them dates we could come, and they said that it is impossible.

We just checked into this place and it is AMAZING! Especially for the price. We were hesitant at first after reading negative reviews, but that review just shows you can't please everyone! The management staff was more than accessible and extremely hospitable. If you are looking for a hotel, look no further!

The best place! The Cave House is located literally in the heart of Oia! We had a wonderful time there with my wife and looking forward in staying there once again. The staff were so helpful and available, whenever we had a special need (like dinner reservations) they made it a reality! I have made a research about the story of the cave houses of Santorini and when we entered I really felt part of the history of the island! We will return here for sure.

It was worth every single cent! The view was simple unbeatable! The terrace and jacuzzi were amazing features and tourists often stopped in awe at our view and terrace! The bellboy carries your bags all the way to the room, they arranged our transfer flawlessly and provided an amazing breakfast each morning at whatever time we liked. They helped us arrange a quad rental, even when the quads were limited they helped us get one! We were able to take it to the opposite end of the island to see the black beach of Perissa and Perivolos. The room was a beautiful traditional cave house with a safe, fridge, laptop, coffee, tea and wine provided! They cleaned our room and refreshed our towels each day! The place is STEPS from the core of Oia, the old castle, the sunset, the downtown Main street and Oias central bus station. We will absolutely stay here again — I won't even look elsewhere. The reality is 1000% better than the stunning pictures featured!

You must stay here in Oia! The accommodation is stunning and the view from the terrace is magnificent! The manager arranged our transfer from the airport and our host Marios came to pick us up from primary school, he carried our bags and the check-in process went through very smoothly! Marios was accessible 24/7 through whatssap and he helped us with everything we needed! Angela served our breakfast which was delicious, every day at the time of our preference! I will definetely come back! I just love this place!

I should start with the fact that there is no reception of any kind, so If you want to contact anyone while on your stay, you need an international phone plan to call them. I booked our honeymoon seven months in advance and just two weeks before we left, Kaleidoscope contacts me to tell me that they double booked our stay and we could only stay three out of the original five nights. Apparently they didn't realize their error until just before we got there. The room itself was a total scam. Don't trust the photos. We were forced to walk down a very steep set of stairs (I almost fell twice with my bad knees) to a room about 6'x20'. Our windows were two basement windows where, when standing on a chair, we had an excellent view of our neighbors jacuzzi. And deck. We did not have the view we were guaranteed. We did have a jacuzzi that we had to climb up the rabbit hole steps to get to. But because this place is located under the main sidewalk of Oia, our jacuzzi was the only one exposed to every person walking by. No privacy. We didn't even use it because it gave us the sense of being in a fishbowl. The internet never worked and the bathroom was a ridiculous setup. The shower was separated from the rest of the room by a lip of jagged bricks that were far too convenient fro stubbing toes on. Also, the shower had no curtain or liner, so water would splash all over the entire bathroom floor, leaving the guests to clean up. Simply a total nightmare in a basement.
