This hotel had stunning vistas. Many people would line up along the foot path above our hotel to have the same view as we had from our terrace. The service was great. The rooms were simple, stylish and very well appointed. The daily breakfast was delicious as were all of our meals in the hotel. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Everything about our stay at The Vasilicos (The Belvedere) was a dream. My husband and I were here for our honeymoon. The staff was incredible. Everyone made every effort to make our stay perfect and get to know us — asked about our day and made our experience so memorable. Breakfast each morning was the best way to start the day. Adi was amazing. So hard working, so friendly and upbeat. I’ve never met anyone as friendly as him. The entire staff was unbelievable. Fiorel always checked in with us, gave us tips for getting around and recommendations. She was fun to talk to and get to know. I don’t know everyone’s name but honestly, every person deserves a personalized shout out because every person was wonderful. They all deserve to be recognized. We had to leave early on our last day (before breakfast hours), so they put milk and yogurt in the fridge and wrapped the bread, fruit and cereal for us. The morning of they brought us French pressed coffee. We were expecting to just grab something at airport. The dish-ware our meals came on was beautiful and so precious. Every detail was noticed and appreciated. Our room was gorgeous. The bathroom was even gorgeous! The cave style shower was incredible. We loved our terrace. Having a private pool and a spot to see the sunset was truly an unreal experience that neither my husband nor I have ever had. We utilized it as much as we could during our 4 days/4 nights here.

A lovely slice of Paradise. The Vasilicos is a former family home, and the Vasilicos team do a fabulous job of keeping up the family atmosphere with personal service like no other. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon ice cream and dinner are all immaculately presented with love and care. With only seven suites, the Vasilicos is tucked away from the hustle and bustle below the Agios Nicholaos Monastery, but it is still only a few minutes walk down a footpath to the shops and restaurants of Firostephani. As you sit on your private terrace, unlike many other similar hotels in the area, there’s nothing else below you on the Caldera edge ensuring that all you can hear is the faint and distant sounds from the cruise ships far below. The view is simply stunning, the rooms spotlessly clean and the team universally friendly. This is our second visit — we will be back!

My husband and I stayed at The Vasilicos for our honeymoon and everything was perfect. All the staff that we met (Dimitrios, Fiorela, Artemis, Yannis, Angelo, and even the cleaning ladies) were all very friendly and hospitable. We are wine lovers so we really enjoyed the Tour de Force menu prepared by Yannis with the exquisite wine pairing by Artemis. We had a private terrace and pool which we enjoyed as much as we can. Location is great because it’s between Thíra and Imerovigli and also quiet. The villa resort is also a close walk to some fine dining too. If we come back to Santorini, we would definitely come back here. Thank you for an amazing time at the Vasilicos!

Absolutely stunning! Beautiful location, feels very secluded even though you are a short walk from great shopping and restaurants. The staff was incredible and make for a one of a kind experience, great attention to detail throughout. Dinner outside our room our last night was one of the highlights of our 10 days in Greece from the great food to the beautiful setting. Thanks to Daphne for opening her family home so others can share its beauty and peacefulness.

Sublime. Beautiful. Perfect place to come on a romantic getaway. Quiet. Peaceful. The team are another level of welcoming, attentive and friendly. No small thing or request is too large and nothing is made to feel unreasonable. The breakfast is brilliant, outside your own private room each morning. Even when the weather is bad the main reception area is turned into a stunning place. It’s away from the madding crowds and Fiorela, Maria and the team are fantastic! Attentive and made this part of our honeymoon feel “next level”.

Artemis, with her warm friendly smile always seems pleased to help even if it involves yet another trip up and down steps. Maria, quite a new addition and she is an absolute credit to the hotel, a warm, cheerful caring person who again walked up and down to deliver food/drinks etc. The cleaning ladies, always smiling and who do a great job replacing wet towels for dry, tidying up and always with beautiful smiles. The man who cleaned the pool, taxied us to the airport, carried our bags, another great team member, sorry we did not get your name. Yannis, a truly superb chef, as others have said before, what he does with an octopus cannot be described in anyway to give justice to how delicious it is. The view is stunning, the room's beautiful and unique, we stayed in Daphne's and Vasilicos. We do recommend the coastal walk to Oui, a trip on a sunset cruise and a trip to the amazing Akrotiri. I spent weeks researching where to stay and it was time well spent. Hopefully this review will help others make a speedy decision to book, so as to not waste time and to secure a room as quickly as you can.

We spent two nights in this dream hotel! Everything is beautiful, the service was perfect, the room carved out of the incredible stone, the private pool and the breathtaking view! If we weren't in paradise we could say it was just like! We will definitely be back.

Was at this house years ago when it was still private. It then became a luxury villa for celebrities and well-off and is now a boutique hotel. "Marvellous" is saying little about the views this place has, it's buried in the side of the Caldera and is super wonderful to rest in peace and quiet. The pool is dreamy and you're a short ride away from the main town. Highly recommend a stay for wanting to live an authentic and full Santorini experience…

Amazing resort. The host was fantastic. The food delivered to your balcony was unreal. Super hospitality, great service and a very homely feel since it's a cozy property. Views are second to none. Perfectly located just a few mins away from the touristy Fira area. I wish I could move in there.

Beautiful, peaceful location, immaculate room with a hot tub that looked out across the caldera, super friendly and attentive staff. I honestly think we found the best hotel on Santorini.

Absolutely the best experience, the most gorgeous room with a view we've ever had… and the staff — Artemis, Kostas, Yannis, etc. — went above and beyond to accommodate our every whim… Can't wait come back some day soon :)!
