This was our first time visiting Santorini and choosing this hotel was the best decision we made. As soon as we got there, we felt welcomed. We rented the car at the hotel and booked our excursions. The hotel staff is friendly and the hotel is beautiful and very clean. The authentic Greek food was better at the hotel than at any of the surrounding restaurants. I highly recommend it.

Hello, hotel is clean and well maintained.
But earned a maximum of 3***.
The HP is not recommended, you can not choose and it is only regional Greek cuisine.
Breakfast is just as easy.

Great Hotel with a family atmosphere. Everything is very well maintained, the staff very attentive. We had a room facing the courtyard/pool area. Gorgeous, if you can already swim before Breakfast without directly a round. Kostas and his wife run the whole operation of the hotel lovingly. He gives good tips for trips etc. The kitchen is run by Mama, the Mousaka is world-class. We would book the Hotel again any time.

Kosta has literally bent over backwards for us — organising transfers to the airport, extending a night last minute, helping with the return of my ATV, upgrading us to a room, treating us like family. The pool had a super relaxed vibe, very clean, great breakfast, attentive staff and great wine. I have travelled extensively and this has honestly been the best experience I have ever had at a hotel, I could not recommend this high enough and I look forward to your experience …here too because you will be equally satisfied! When one starts planning for a summer holiday, the first question is obvious where to go but the next question has the same weight — where to stay? When we planned for Santorini, I started looking for a hotel at walking distance from the sea. That's why I chose this hotel in Akrotiri which was bit far from Fira but next to Caldera beach. I booked superior double room via Expedia and got a good deal. Hotel reached out to me for transport from Airport and made arrangements on confirmation. When we reached there a surprise was waiting for us, got a free upgrade to a suite with swimming pool view and balcony. Hotel Manager Mr. Konstantinos Papalexis is quite friendly and lively person. We asked for tours and plans and he suggested to rest for the day and arranged some wonderful trips for us as per our leisure. Now coming back to the hotel part, this one has a swimming pool, luxurious lobby, garden full of flowers and pool facing the restaurant and bar. What else you need on a sunny day. Enjoy pool with a fancy cocktail, have some greek food and relax on a sun bed. Our suite was kind of two floor room, living room on the ground floor and bed upstairs. Initially, we were not comfortable with this arrangement but gradually it grew upon us. You got a big sofa in the room so you can relax there while watching tv. We stayed there for four days and never had dinner outside.

I have been here for the past 3 days with my daughter and it's been a wonderful experience. Costa has gone above and beyond to organize so many things to make our stay truly relaxing: from booking taxis, transfers to airport & recommendedy places to see. He did this with cheerfulness and always a smile. Nothing seemed to be a problem for him. Our accommodation was beautifully clean and the staff very friendly. I feel as though it's my home away from home. I would be happy to come back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone coming to Santorini.

The dutiful premise is that my judgment is not on the structure I do not know and I have not been there personally. My judgment is due to the total lack of respect and as far as I am concerned with the professionalism of the staff. I mistakenly made a reservation and I take responsibility for it but it is permissible in front of a multitude of messages to receive a response even if negative! In all this I would like to point out that the communication of the error took place 10 minutes apart. Not after a month or week. Congratulations.

They charge me for everything! And they don't say anything. They gave me two towels for £8. Be careful with this hotel.

Good hotel with great location and staff but breakfasts are very poor, no choice.

It is a very nice area, very different than the touristy — Oia or Thira side. We stayed with the Airbnb side of Hotel Mathias and the owner was very nice with check in. The staff are incredible and the owner hooked us up with sweet catamaran tours and ATV rentals. The Airbnb rentals were amazing, quiet and beautiful. We even came in for Homemade food at the restaurant in the hotel and the food was superb. Very fun area. Worth a visit if you have time in Santorini and want a break from the craziness in Oia.

We reccomend it clean rooms modern style , pool, family run hotel, we wil back soon.

Very nice and friendly staff. Small cozy hotel for a romantic getaway or family stay. The breakfast was limited and the beds were a bit hard. However we liked the atmosphere and eating breakfast outside next to the pool. Can rent scooter or quad to get around the stunning island.

Place to have a nice holiday way from the busy towns, we enjoy the lovely family rooms and the pool special our children, nice modern rooms with balcony’s Wi-Fi, breakfast it was fine we like the idea to eat by the pool, we try many times the restaurant By the pool special the cooked meals thank you for all we will be back.

One of the greatest experinces I've ever had at a hotel & Villa! The staff are incredibly polite and always aware of what they can do to help. The owner Kostas is an amazing agent who's recommendations made our trip as special as it can be. So thoughtful, knowledgeable and overall caring person! I'm definitely returning!

Excellent family hotel. Great service, clean and quiet. Easy parking and great pool.

Needed directions. Went in and there was no one at the reception desk. Left unhelped.

Wow! Had such a fantastic stay at this hotel! Friendly service, great food and Mr. Mathios himself made sure we knew all the sites to see and arranged plans for us to make the best of our trip! We will be returning to this hotel on our next trip to Greece. Highly recommend.

The Hotel Mathios Experience. One does not even have to go out from the hotel to get the relaxation that is sought for from a holiday. They have delish food, a lovely ambiance, a relaxing pool and the tidiest of places. But most importantly, Hotel Mathios has the best staff! I have never seen a team that has more pride and dedication in what they do. They go over and beyond to deliver first class service. To top that, they also offer the best tour deals and trip advise. So friends, if you want to spend wisely and get a lot more than your money's worth, opt for the Hotel Mathios Experience. They pamper like no other.

Beautiful family Hotel in Santorini. Our first family vacation to Greece, and we will return for sure to Hotel Village Mathios in the future. Kostas and his staff were fantastic, our 7 day stay felt like home away from home. Welcoming, helpful, clean, enjoyable, and beautiful hotel. Delicious breakfast every morning, and delicious authentic Greek food during the day with drinks by the pool. The pool was especially nice for our kids. Our kids enjoyed entertaining other guests at breakfast, and during the day by the pool. Thank you Kostas for a great stay, you were always around smiling, and your receptionist, she's wonderful. I recommend the hotel Mathios for the location but especially for the cleanliness and friendliness of the whole staff.

I recommend this structure to anyone who wants to choose Santorini as a destination for their holidays, trusting of the owner Mr. Kostas who also speaks Italian I was able to visit the island well without surprises. The property is very nice and the restaurant is just great, if you stay here try it, it's worth it!
