The owners (daughter and mother) initially didnt seem friendly and welcoming. The Wi-Fi was also extremely spotty and wouldnt work well. The best part about staying at villa aegeon was the gyro place next door, NikoAA which sold to date the best gyros I've ever had which also happened to be the cheapest. (Even among those which are top rated in Oia).

Stayed for my wife's brithday and suprised her with a friend from Aus where we stayed 3 nights at the hotel. The place itself is ok. But the people who own the hotel are awful. They are rude and unprofessional. First thing is we had to move rooms halfway through our stay. Which we did but the room was rubbish, the shower hardly worked. When I say hardly worked, it was impossible to actually shower. It was the tiniest shower which didn't even have a proper holder for the shower and because of the size, you end up flooding the whole bathroom. We asked for extra towels which they would not give us. And at the end of the stay they charged us extra and said we had a 4th person in our room. Additionally after agreeing to settle the bill via card, they said payments with card were not accepted because only one person knew how to use the eftpos machine — and this person was not working. Even though this was advertised as a place that accepted card payments. Furthermore after an hour of trying to settle the bill via aidbnb online, the owner asked ME to call airbnb directly to confirm payment because she did not have enough money to call airbnb herself. Keep in mind this is an actual hotel and not just someones extra bedroom. After all that airbnb said I didn't have to pay anything. Utter joke and ripoff. Don't go here!

Booked a room after reading other reviews and was shocked by what we experienced. The lobby is cluttered and messy the staff was less than welcoming. The best thing I can say is we were able to get a room with a large bed. The towels are not particularly clean and certainly not soft No hot water, and the staff assured us they have hot water 24 hours a day. The room was like a cave as you are not permitted to open the shutters or window. After looking in the kitchen, I would not chance a meal there There are many other good hotels in the area. We left after one night and found much better at Albatros fir about the same money with breakfast included and plenty of hot water. Did have a nice view from outside our room.

I stayed here for a week and had the best time in Santorini, primarily because of Villa Aegeon. This sweet, family owned and operated Villa was so relaxing and extremely convenient to navigate around Santorini. I can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to come back!
