Babis Hotel Hotel

I and 6 of my other friends had a great stay at Hotel Babis. It is a family run botique hotel. Both Babis Sr and Babis Jr were very hospitable. They made sure our stay were comfortable to the best they can. They offered free shuttle pick up from the airport and were welcomed with refreshing orange juices. Our rooms were ready when we arrived. We availed one three-bedroom and two 2-bedroom. All of them were kept tidy and clean every single day by the Hotel’s cleaners. Babis Sr also helped us find a reputable car rental for the van we used to travel around the city. He also suggested where to go best. Babis Sr always greeted us with his warm smile. He made us feel really welcome and tried to make some jokes sometimes. Babis Hotel is quick 15-20 minutes walk to Fira. We have done this back and forth numerous times and it was never a problem. There are a lot of great restaurants and bakeries very close to the Hotel. I highly recommend Tabasco and Sweet Cone! At the end of our trip, both Babis Sr and Babis Jr took an extra effort to wake up at 5am to send us off and drive us to the Airport for our departure flight back to Athens. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Babis and definitely recommend this to all who are on a budget but still wanted to maximize the value they get from their money. Our stay made our Santorini trip wonderful!

Very simple hotel but equipped with all the necessities (Wi-Fi, air conditioning in the room and pool) at a yummy price.
Great location both to reach the beaches and to go to Thira and Oia in the evening.
Family management with Babis and his father really nice and helpful!

Kind staff, simple but very good service, free transfer from/to the airport, everyone helps you with anything you need. Very good location, next to a bus stop that almost all the buses pass to go to the places (and you don't need to go to the central bus station in thira). It tottaly worth the price.

From the moment of our arrival they were very friendly, despite having arrived our flight with 2 hours delay and in the early hours they came to look for us without problem.
The rooms are simple nothing luxury but impeccable. With €5 additional counts with a full breakfast.

There is a space for improvement, but keep in mind that is a 1 star hotel, you get what you pay for. Well maintained swimming pool, free transfer, fast response, good communication, easy to reach Fira by public transport. Big minus, swimming pool next to the busy road so you can't really relax, also a mosquito net it will make a huge difference in a hot sommer nights. The owner I believe is trying his best to help.

The staff is very mindful, it is a pleasure to stay at Babis. The location is good, you'll need about 10 minutes to go to Fira and there is a bus stop close by where you can take a bus to the beach. The rooms are very standard and clean. In addition to that, the hotel's staff will arrange pick-up and delivery to the airport or the port if needed.

Acceptable. If the bed was not of springs it would be much better. It's nice. Very simple and something old but it's OK for the price you pay.

Great customer service. We stayed for one night before checking into our hotel closer to Fira. We flew in late and were exhausted abd thirsty. He gave us complimentary cold water — it was the nicest touch. In the morning, our host offered to drive us to our next place and refused to let us pay him for the ride. Definitely recommended for a cheap place to stay.

Wouldn't recommend! Aircon & TV didn't work. Bathroom was very very poor. Pool area seemed okay.

It must be said that as far as cleanliness is OK and also pool and lobby deserve a good. But the rooms are very outdated as fixtures, furniture and doors. Everything old and ugly. My sink without cap! Balcony Furniture Idem! Daily housekeeping made really, air conditioning working, shuttle airport existing and accurate and once we were escorted to Thira because there were no taxis. However between the information of the hotel there was the news of the shuttle every half hour direct into the city. When I asked for information I was told that I could go on foot or by bus. Not that they are far away in the city or the stop, but I at the time chose this hotel also for the availability of the shuttle to the centre. I didn't want to make any fuss and I was. The street where this property rises is a busy state and not pleasant to go. Would not stay here again.

Old hotel, shower didn't work properly, and too few elextrical outlets. The Staff was very nice though.

Babis, his father and rest of family go extra mile to assist with anything. Friendly and very comfortable stay. Anything you need or require Babis organises and gets delivered to hotel. Recommend to anyone looking for place to stay in karterados Fira.

Nice family hotel. You can reserve him quietly if you go to Santorini. The breakfast was delicious. The local transfer is to the port.

I just finished a 4 month trip around Europe and Hotel Babis is the one place that stood out for me. Babis and his family welcomed us into his hotel with open arms, providing us with amazing rental car deals and a free shuttle from the port or into town. He was always making sure we were okay and I could tell all the other travelers had made this relationship with him too!

The place was wonderful. The hosts were amazing, very helpful and friendly. The pool was great and rooms very comfortable. They offer a free shuttle service to the airport and bus rides to the center every hour also for free. You can also book everything you can do on the island from there. 10/10 would come again.

Very nice small hotel, in the hands of a very hospitable & helpful family. Simple, but nice and clean rooms. Nice pool with terrace and Liège & options seat. Parking is free.
Very much recommended.
