Kokkini Porta Rossa will forever be our home away from home in Rhodes. Angela and Nikos welcomed us as family with open arms and warm hospitality. Our bags were whisked to our room and delicious hibiscus tea awaited us in the open courtyard. Our accommodations were impeccable and comfortable with every amenity imaginable. The former medieval knights residence is lovingly and meticulously restored and those with a discerning eye will notice all of the finer details throughout. Angela's multi-course, gourmet breakfasts were of legend and catered to dietary restrictions and preferences. Nikos arranged for the most interesting and erudite guide, Alexis Margos, with whom we spent several days touring this most beautiful island. Alexis took good care to connect with our family and understand our interests and desires in exploring Rhodes and we came away with a custom crafted tour each day. Nikos also provided us with a tablet used to navigate the town full of descriptive information to guide us in locating landmarks, restaurants and most notably a pre-programmed map to return back to the residence. Every evening, we were greeted with an array of cocktails to relax and unwind following our day of exploration. Alexis, Angela and Nikos will forever be in our hearts and minds as our extended family. Yamas!

This charming boutique hotel in the Old Town of Rhodes is owned & operated by Niko & Angela. They welcome you with open arms as if you are family. Niko provides every guest with a tablet containing everything you need to know about Rhodes — what to see, where to eat, etc. It is even programmed with GPS to help you get back to the hotel, should you find yourself lost on the island. Every suite is magnificently designed for luxury & comfort. A fabulous four course breakfast is served on the patio. As guests return home at the end of the day, we are greeted with cocktails on the patio. When you check out, Angela hands you a gift from them. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate this hotel 20! I look forward to returning to the pampering!

Ella Nikos. Angela! What an amazing, well designed and run boutique hotel. Angela and Nikos own this charming gem of a place; their good taste in life, food and vino has permeated to everything this place is about. We loved every moment of it. Felt at home, at ease, and comfortable. Perfect location in the old historic town, we were able to walk everywhere. They helped us navigate, helped rent a car for excursions, and more. Breakfasts are spectacular; a chef cooked every morning and had variety. We started every evening with their complimentary happy hour; great wines and liquors… highly recommend it, would and will go again!

This hotel is outstanding! The owners, Nikos and Angela were so welcoming, hospitable, helpful and friendly. The staff were equally amazing! I couldn’t fault this place at all. The hotel is in a perfect location, within walking distance of all the major sights in the Old town. It has a great ambience, especially when seated in the courtyard. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone and if I were in Rhodes again, I would definitely stay here again!

Just back from our first holidays in Rhodos, where we have had an amazing time and an absolutely perfect stay in Kokkini Porta Rossa. The Hotel is very special, detailed and beautiful. Many thanks to Angela & Nikos for making our time as much comfortable as possible!

We spent 4 days and 3 nights at Kókkini Porta Rossa. We enjoyed our stay with Angela & Nikos very very much. The hotel is a small oasis in the middle of the touristy and and lively part of the city and it offers a lovely and warm atmosphere. The team of Kókkini Porta Rossa was courteous and showed a genuine interest in us. Each suite has its own charm and throughout the hotel accessories and objects of art are to be discovered. We enjoyed a homemade and delicious selection of breakfast specials and were always able to rely on a great service and exciting tips for restaurants, attractions and excursion destinations. The visit to the synagogue and the meeting with an holocaust survivor was one of the most impressive moments of my live. Thank you very much for the wonderful time on and in Rhodes.

Wawww… Everything is perfect. A charming, cozy place, full of history…
As for the building, the restoration of this former knight's house is simply sublime… While respecting the architecture and spirit of this house, the décor is very tasteful, mixing both ancient and traditional objects and a clean and cozy atmosphere.
As for the guests, they are really caring. I was personally in a bit of a tricky situation following an operation, and Nikos and Angela did everything they could to make my stay as enjoyable as possible.
We stayed one night in the Deniz Suite. Superb, well-arranged, spacious.
We then spent 6 nights in the Michalis Suite, on the ground floor and with private garden. Just beautiful.
Breakfasts are prepared with care and are simply delicious! Sweet salty mix, pastries or savoury dishes typical of the island. Very nice and especially good surprises.
Nikos, thank you for your great applications on tablet, really practical, and thank you also for your very wise advice.
Angela, thank you for your smile and your good humor. Keep speaking French, you speak very well;)

Where to start? Elegant, warming, amazing hospitality, surprisingly fantastic breakfasts, drinks, afternoon piano… Nikos and Angela have succeeded in the perfect marriage between the Rustic/modern with the rooms. Our room was converted a bit to accommodated our teenager. Travel service from the airport was wonderful, very friendly. The bath products are top of the line and the service is Amazing… WOW! Breakfast was a menu of 'savory/sweet' — several course breakfast… very gourmet, very delicious. Being provided our 'own' iPad was extremely helpful as Nikos would ask us in the mornings where we wanted to go for the day. After breakfast, he created an incredible GPS itinerary, very well thought out with walking/driving directions. Amazing people.

My experience was NOT positive at all. When I talked to the manager and owner of the hotel NIKOS and asked him for a possibility of a better price for my 3 nights stay his answer was very rude. "this is the best price a greek man can make to a jew ". I felt very bad and repeated his sentence ONCE AGAIN AND SAID YES. My father was borne in Rhodos and the purpose of my stay was to visit where and how the family lived and to learn about the history of Jewish people in Rhodes and the extermination of part of the family … Sorry I am a proud JEW and did not stay with him.

We could not have chosen a more romantic, well located and beautiful hotel to spend our honeymoon. The owners were very thoughtful since the very beginning and took care of every possible detail to make us feel at home. We know our experience in Rhodes wouldn't had been that nice if we had chosen another accommodation. They quickly understood the kind of places, beaches and sightseeing we were looking for, and gave us the best advices and routes based on our taste. It is quite obvious they love their island and what they do, and you can feel it in every detail of the service, decoration and organization of their cozy guesthouse. They also offer many books and magazines if you're looking forward to know more about the history and culture of the island. In summary, one of the best boutique hotels we have ever been and a place we will always remind with tenderness.
