Traditional Greek accomodation with a very comfortable bed, aircon, Wi-Fi, fridge and kettle. The shower and bathroom was comparatively large for Greece! Location central and it was easy to walk to the port. Our host was very helpful and friendly and I would recommend breakfast which is delicious. Thank you so much Kiki and family for making us feel so welcome.

Traveling alone, I felt a bit adrift. As soon as I arrived at Taki's Place, I immediately felt at home. Kiki and her mom welcomed me right in and took excellent care of me in my time with them. And Kiki will happily pick you up and drop you off at the airport or port! I arrived early, so my room was still being cleaned, but Kiki made me coffee and brought with it some delicious home made rice pudding to refresh myself while I waited. Then she gave me a map and oriented me to the area and to the island, should I wish to get out and about. I was there for 5 days and mostly I stayed close to "home. " I walked to the Port and/or beach everyday and spent a lot of time in the quiet of my room, reading, writing, recharging. Kiki would even bring me an after dinner sweet in the evening! The place is simple and very clean and my room had a small kitchenette so I could store and prepare my own food, if I wanted. Taki's Place sits in a residential neighborhood with the lovely sound of kids playing in the street. It was really nice to be away from big hotels and lots of other tourists, and yet it's only a 5 minute walk to the port. And honestly, you can't beat the price! I've stayed other places where the amenities were more extravagant and the decor was fancier, and honestly I'd rather stay at Taki's. There is love to the place and as I was far away from home, friends and family, it was much needed and much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you Kiki and family!

Hosts were really lovely and warm, good Wi-Fi, and not too expensive!

I spent here a week, great guest house, friendly staff and very helpful. After the first night, he proposed to change the room with a nicer one since it had the double bed. The rooms are not huge but for a guest house it's fine. Breakfast plentiful and prepared by them on time. Convenient to everything, close to the center and all connections to the rest of the island. Transfer to/from the port included. I recommend it.

Splendid! Excellent, hospitality.

We spent 5 nights here and cannot recommend this place highly enough. Firstly, the hospitality offered and the genuine welcome and kindness of Kiki and her parents Marina and Takis is exceptional. The house is lovely, located in a quiet street, yet only a few minutes walk to everything. The main street with bakeries, supermarket, cafes is 2 minutes away, the old castle area less than 5 minutes through charming lanes, the port 5 minutes, and the beaches less than 5. Central, yet being set a few streets back and facing its own internal courtyard, there is zero noise from the street. We had our best nights sleep in Greece here. They offer a port pick-up which we took on arrival, but declined on departure given how close we were. The room is very comfortable, with comfy beds, an abundance of hot water, a well equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi and access to the local courtyard. Our room was spotlessly clean, and cleaned daily, with sheets and towels changed more often than needed. All the above make for a wonderful stay, and already more than justifies the price. However, the breakfast is out of this world: every day we were served an amazing feast, including heaps of fresh bread with butter/jams etc, eggs, juice, coffee, delicious Naxos yogurt with Greek honey, and a selection of homemade goodies such as Greek orange cake, some of the famous greek pies, homemade biscuits, other gorgeous sweet treats with cinnamon and honey that I don’t have a name for.

You can t get any more value for your money… Friendly and caring owners with the nicest breakfastservice we ever experienced!
