The hospitality can't be beat here. Nikoletta and all of the staff are so kind and welcoming — something I wish we could experience back home in the US. As others have mentioned, the breakfast is to die for and the dinners are excellent as well. If you are coming to Naxos, this is the place to stay. — здесь: Hotel Grotta.

The most welcoming staff I have ever come across. Stayed at many hotels and I have never experienced anything like this before. We had a HUGE greeting at the door and were given food and wine upon our arrival in the lobby. Every morning we would have a surprise left in our room either cake or wine. The breakfast buffet was like Christmas and Easter put together there was that much food. My favourite aspect of this hotel though was the staff. Always smiling, making jokes, being helpful and interested in how your day was. Really felt like valued guests and for this reason we will be returning. Thanks hotel Grotta you truly stand out from the rest.

I brought my mother here on a trip and to say the experience provided by the staff here is exceptional doesn’t even begin to describe how great it truly is! The amenities are clean, the interior is designed beautifully and the people are so kind and caring! A must stay and true gem in Naxos!

What an amazing find! Wonderful people, huge spread of delicious food every day. Beautiful view of the sunset from the bar. Enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day while watching the sun go down over the temple of Appolo.

Delicious hotel with great views. Family management makes you feel at home. Breakfast is very rich and the managers "cuddle" the customers! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Recommended for Naxos also because it is a short walk from the center.

The spacey and very comfortable rooms. Hotel quiet and close to the city. We enjoyed the free shuttle service and the loan of the beach sheets.
We highly recommend this hotel and if we return to Nxos, we will return with great pleasure!

5 stars are not enough to rate this hotel. The hospitality and attention to details of the Grotta Hotel family deserves more. Incredible experience with all you need and more. Breakfast is the best I have ever seen, even better than 5 star hotels. Thanks to Nicoleta, Dimitris and rest of the staff for taking care of us. Will visit again for sure!

The best place in Naxos to set up base to explore the island. Also perfect place to settle into after a ferry ride. Food is great and the family is extremely welcoming. Extremely clean.

We booked Hotel Grotta based on the recommendations online. I loved the fact that there was an included breakfast as well. We were not disappointed! The included breakfast was amazing, we looked forward to it every day! The hotel is perfect! Great location, we saw amazing sunsets. The hotel is spotless, they are always cleaning. The hotel has an amazing staff, everyone was so nice and helpful all the time. Nicoletta and Marine are amazing! This really was the friendliest hotel we've ever been too. Grotta is a great mix of new modern decor and simplicity, we highly recommend it! After 2 weeks in Greece going to a few islands, we all agreed in family that hotel Grotta and Naxos were our favorite!

This hotel is exceptional. The people are so welcoming, the facilities are first rate, the food is delicious. But the staff make this just like the home you wished you lived at. Wonderful stay in Naxos, we will return!

My husband and I just left the hotel on our journey island hopping for our honeymoon and our experience was nothing short of great! The warm welcome you first get upon arrival never stops once throughout your entire stay. They are a family run hotel and the hospitality makes you feel as if you are amongst your own family. From the amazing homemade breakfast spread to the homemade wine, everything is superb. … In addition the view is absolutely great! Overlooking the cliffs and town of Naxos you are in the perfect spot for watching the sunset with a drink in hand and a nice stroll into town for any meal. I would highly recommend this little slice of paradise to anyone.

This is a very nice hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. A very nice owner and great views. I also found the rooms to be very comfortable. Well worth the price and the visit!

Excellent reception, I ate at the hotel restaurant one evening and the dishes are tasty, very good, and at good prices. The service is excellent, employees very friendly & helpful, give good tips for restaurants and visits on the island. I highly recommend to go there! It is also a beautiful view on the temple of Apollo and for the sunset.

Outstanding breakfast, location, rooms, spa, staff, and views (bar, dinning room and roof terrace, unless you have a room with a view). This is by far the best value for money anywhere. Clean, comfortable and modern rooms with great bed/mattress and shower. Perfect-size spa, with a jacuzzi, small pool, sauna and steam room, and the room also includes an unbelievable selection of sweet and savoury foods for breakfast. Their entire staff were extremely nice as well, and really made you feel at home.

Unbelievably pleasent service, and phenomenal Aegean sea views. You would think this is a 4 star hotel, and it is very fair priced.

The best place we stayed in all of Greece! Love this hotel! From the breakfast to the hotel staff, everything was excellent! We were first welcomed with a glass of wine and a snack at check in. The person that checked us in was so friendly and informative of the area. Our room had the most spectacular view! Best sunsets every evening. The hotel was so so clean and our room had a rainfall shower, which our last hotel didn’t even have a shower! The staff would leave us a afternoon treat in our hotel room everyday. Also, our first day, there was a carafe of wine already waiting for us. So sweet! The suana and pool was definitely a treat. There was a waterfall and rain shower in the pool! So awesome! The complimentary homemade breakfast everyday was the best part. The best food ever! Wish we could have met the cook personally to thank them. And Nicolette made every morning so cheerful! I can’t say enough good things about this place! We hope to be back one day!

I can't say enough good things about Hotel Grotta! We had such a pleasant experience. This is a smaller hotel, recently renovated, in a quiet area of Naxos Chora (the main city in Naxos with the ferry port). You can walk from the ferry, but there is a little bit of a hill. I would say its about 10-15 min walk. However no need to worry about lugging your bags to the hotel, they offer a free shuttle to and from the ferry. The shuttle was waiting for us when we got off the ferry, right on time. And when we left it was as simple as asking the night before to have a drop off at the shuttle ferry in the morning. That is the benefit of staying at a smaller hotel, things are simpler. We loved our room-it was the superior with a sea view. What an amazing view! We appreciated how clean the hotel was, our large patio outdoors, and a good size interior area. I cannot speak for the smaller rooms, I hope they are just as nice. The bathroom is completely renovated. Downstairs there is a main dining area. They serve an amazing breakfast with traditional homemade food. Mouthwatering. Be prepared to overeat! They do serve dinner, but the service was closed when we visited off season. But not to worry, as the staff were so kind to help us order take-out. The woman at the front desk to the time to read out different items on the Greek take-out menu, then call on my behalf to place the order. I cannot get over how friendly the staff are at the hotel.

Excellent hotel and staff. Make you feel like home. They take care of everything and made sure we enjoyed our time Naxos. Anything you want, just ask them and they are more than happy to oblige.

This is without a doubt the greatest experience I've had while traveling anywhere in the world. The owner was the nicest, and most welcoming person I've ever met. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Grotto in August 2016. I have traveled the world on business and personally and never have I been met with a more courteous staff. The room was fantastic! Niki, one of the proprietors, treated us like one of her own. In fact, she gave us a gift for our baby that was due 3 months later. Not to be missed is the breakfast! Everything was homemade and was absolutely amazing! I would recommend Hotel Grotto to anyone interested in Naxos. Truly one of my best travel experiences!

Experience of a lifetime… this family run hotel makes you feel at home the moment you arrive till the time you leave. Welcome wine and pies, surprise cakes n sweets and even a picnic plate when we head to the beach. The increadible variety and quality of breakfast alone is worth your room rate. Service impeccable with great attention to detail. I've stayed in 5 star hotels that dunt come close to what this place provides. Made lifetime friends here. Sad to leave. Will come back surely!

Lovely accomodations, exceptional breakfast buffet, courteous management. Add to that the gorgeous sea view including the famous ancient ruin "Portara". Definitely best place to stay in this part of Naxos.

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. This is a family owned modern hotel. Nicoletta and her family are lovely and gracious hosts. Excellent locations, facilities, views, breakfast and restaurant. A+.

Naxos Hotel Grotta is an amazing paradise to celebrate and relax. The rooms are well appointed. Breakfast is the best ever. The spa room is very enjoyable. The top garden deck is a paradise to sit andview the beautiful Agean Sea in all her glory.

It's a really nice and new family-run hotel with the best breakfast I've had in a long time! It's like a little boutique hotel. We got really pampered and will be back next time we're in Naxos, that's for sure. The rooftop views are really nice! Great place to see the sunset. I don't think I ever felt sad when leaving a hotel before… I really did this morning…

We were surprised to see how beautiful and great this hotel was. The staff made us feel welcomed and made great suggestions for what to do and where to eat. The indoor pool was warmed for us and the hot tub & steam room were a great add on too!

In here one day now and I'm sending recommendations to my friends all over the world. This is definitely the best hotel for the money that I've ever stayed at. Amazing ocean view with the sea, port and Apollo temple, sitting on the balcony with a glass of complimentary wine watching sunset made a perfect day on the island even more perfect. Most of all, the kindness of the host, they show genuine care of the place and their guests. Only drawback I can think of is the sound insulation — one can hear people talking and walking in other rooms, but no big deal.

I can't say enough great things about this hotel. The value for the money is one of the best I have experienced (we came in low season). The hotel was not only fully remodeled but done so with a great taste and style. The amenities are that of a 5-star boutique hotel (think a small swimming pool, jacuzzi, home made breakfast). But above all the family's genuine hospitality makes for a truly lovely experience. Hope to come back to Naxos and bring my family to this amazing place.

Great view of Naxos Town. Very friendly and accommodating family run hotel. Kept clean and fresh with a great bathroom and shower. Breakfast is unending and delicious. My favorite hotel of our trip. A bit hard to find by car but easy walk up the hill at edge of town — even had parking! Can't be beat for the price and value.

Beautiful hotel. Wonderful staff. Fabulous food. Apollo Temple close at hand. Hotel is newly remodeled. Very elegant. The family is wonderful, helpful, kind, informative. The breakfast is made by Grandma and is superb.

Amazing breakfasts of freshly baked tarts and pastries, all homemade and really delicious. Rooms are excellent, lots of hot water, comfortable beds. Staff are warm, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
