Piteoussa

I had an absolutely amazing stay at Piteoussa Guest House. The experience was truly wonderful, and the room felt like no less than a 4-star hotel, with all the amenities one could wish for – including a hairdryer, safe, slippers, and coffee/tea facilities. Everything was spotless and very comfortable.
The family managing the guest house is absolutely kind and welcoming, which made the stay even more special. I had booked a room with a balcony, and it was perfect for relaxing with a coffee while enjoying the view.
I highly recommend staying here – it’s a real gem and I would love to return!

Very clean and comfortable little guest house. Only 5 minutes from the port. Little balcony to sit and watch.
The passing parade: donkeys, horses and assorted humans. Rooms cleaned daily, and towels and bath products changed regularly too. Little desk, comfy chair and coffee table, bed lights iron and board — the room had all the requirements.

Super! Best accommodation. Great stay lovely host. Highly recommend. Lovely terrace. In the center near the port.

Good location very quiet street away from tourist activities yet still convenient to restaurants and so on. Room is nicely decorated and set up well with convenient plugs, refrigerator and coffee maker. Wine glasses and corkscrew provided. They gave us beach towels to use. Good shower.
AC does not work when window or door is opened, or when you leave the room. But it cooled down pretty quick. If you travel light, like we do, you need to know there are no laundry facilities on Hydra. However you do have drying wires outside on the patio so you can hand wash. Good value for money, friendly owner.

When we booked this place there was only a fairly cheap room left, we got room 2 on the ground floor. It was slightly disappointing given some of the lovely pictures online, but was good enough for our needs. It was clean and functional, and good value for money for Hydra. There was a bit of noise from the street in the morning, but it didn't bother us. The location is good, it's a fairly flat route from the harbour and less than 10 minutes to trundle the suitcase over the cobbled streets.
There are two really good places to eat nearby, Giasemi and Xeri Elia Douskos. Both serve great Greek food. If we came back to Hydra we would stay here again.

The rooms are clean and hospitality is good, but in the night we couldn’t sleep because of noise! There is a road just under windows so all night even in 5am ppl after clubs, the horses and service vehicles passed by! Due to the strong acoustics there is an impression that all happening in your room: ( (We came to relax in silence but unfortunately couldn’t sleep at all: (
I don’t know about rooms upstairs and we actually came to this hotel because of hight ratings, but we are so disappointed. By the way, there was no mosquito net on our window as well and a host didn’t solve this problem even after we asked him…

Our first trip to Hydra was made restful with staying at Piteoussa! It is barely a 5min walk from the port, it’s tucked away so is quiet, and is nicely well kept! Room was the perfect size and cleaned every day. Bed was comfortable and the price was great compared to others! Thank you for a great stay!

We had a lovely week at this quiet guesthouse. Room was clean and functioned well, with good shower etc. Daily recharge of capsules for the coffee machine. Towels and sheets changed regularly. Beach towels supplied free of charge. Our room had a pleasant balcony fringed by pine trees where we could sit and watch the quiet comings and goings in the street below, including the hard-working trains of mules carrying goods around the town. The Jasmine taverna is just a little further along the street, where the food was excellent.
