I am not sure why anyone would want to stay anywhere else on this entire island. The location, hospitality, clean rooms, and excellent services offer true value to the tired traveler seeking their own slice of Greek island life. The entire hotel is spotless, and the location is unbeatable. If you want to explore true heaven, book here ASAP! In my several visits to this hotel, I have never had anything but good things to say! This hotel works for friends, solo travelers, families, and couples looking for romantic bliss.
We had such a cosy stay at Akrogiali!
The location is key, as it is steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches of the island, “Agathopes”. The room was true to the photos, super clean with a small kitchen and a great balcony with an amazing sea view.
The staff is amazing! It’s a family business keeping the tradition of Greek hospitality well and alive! They came and picked us up from the port and were there to provide anything we needed.
Also, you have the option to have a very tasty homemade breakfast with Greek sweets and salty goods if you like.
Overall I highly recommend this hotel for a great stay at Syros!

Simply the best! Despoina’s hotel is perfection in every way. No detail is overlooked from the fridge to wall hooks to an outdoor laundry rack with pins. The property is SPOTLESS and a couple minutes on foot to Agothopes Beach and several restaurants. There is a mini market and a bakery within walking distance, too.
