Situated over the village of Kardamili, the family-run Vardia Hotel is traditionally built of stone and wood. We love Kardamyli and Hotel Vardia is simply fantastic. Away from the main town but the views of the mountains and coast are the best. The hotel is a short 10 minute walk to town by a lovely staircase, woods, and side street. Also, the hotel overlooks the main historical attraction in town of a Venetian 17-18th century small fort/residence and church. You can easily walk to this small fort right out of the staircase that leads you down into town. If you are unable to walk stairs, there is free parking at the hotel and it is just a short drive into town. The cons are the slow Wi-Fi at the far side of the hotel, and the breakfast is just ok. But overall a definite 5 star!

Fantastic small hotel. Views over Kardamili are among the best. Nice and quiet, so relaxation guaranteed. If you're reasonably fit and enjoy a bit of easy exercise (getting to and from the village) then this is the hotel for you. Infirm or less active people might struggle with this hotels fine location. For us, we loved it!
