Our stay felt so bohemian and off-the-grid. It’s a simple, budget friendly place, that is so worth the money spent. When we first arrived, our host Michalis (“Michael” in Greek) gave us 2 jars of homemade jelly that his mother made, and bottles of water. Every morning we were served something simple and sweet like rice pudding and other similar snacks. Our room had amazing views from the balcony. The balcony had 2 sets of doors with screens so we left them open at night, and slept to the sound of ocean waves. Our host and his family were so accommodating to us. At the end of our stay, he informed us that they were olive farmers and gifted us a bottle of their very own EVOO. It’s located just 10 minutes drive away from Gythio city center, and 15 minutes away from the shipwreck at Valtaki Beach. For Spartan Race competitors, it’s 45 minutes away from Sparta.
