Where do you start with reviewing kisterna? We just came back from a 6 day trip to the hotel traveling with 2 adults and our 1-1/2 year old son, and we are still in awe of the hotel. When we arrived we were picked up from the parking spot but the nicest and most friendliest of people in a golf card who took our luggage and drove us around the estate a bit, althewhilst explaining where everything was. After a very smooth check in we were brought to our room, we got upgraded to an estate with everything you need. The babybed was already set up in the 50m2 room and the start could not have been better. After a fantastic quiet night of sleep in our amazing bed our day started with the unbelievable breakfast buffet served by the best and friendliest people around. The hotel has 3 great restaurants all with equally great personnel. The swimming pools are fantastic and as we had a kid with us we could only be at the family pool, luckily the family pool is not a small side pool but is equal size to the adult pool. Really close to the amazing indoor playing room and not far from the small but good playground. The hotel has been designed with no detail forgotten. It is stunningly beautiful and peaceful. From the hotel it is a 4 minute car ride to the nearest beach (small but really good with the kid) drive 30 minutes further and beaches are everywhere. The town of monemvasia is worth a visit.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Fabulous attention to detail in decorative terms, large varied spaces and terraces, very few rooms so no crowding and amazing food. The latter is definitely up there with the best Greece has to offer. The clientele when we were there was a mix of British/French/ Greek mostly couples (of any combo), with a reassuringly affluent (but not brash) feel. On the downside, it is a fairly remote place and getting there from Athens is a 4hr affair that feels like a day. And expensive. It is worth it though especially as in the general area there is no comparable alternative.

Stunning Hotel. A place between the past and the future. Full of positive vibes. Great place for couples and families. Lot of activities, hiking in the green nature and to the castle, swimming in the spring water of the pool. Staff just the sweetest ever. Get the chance to feel the smoothies at the pool bar, the great barman will get u the fruits for his cocktails directly from the trees. The food was amazing. Bed in the room is the most comfortable ever had.

This place is amazing — every room has a different design. The staff is really helpful. Have some drinks by the pool!

We attended a wedding for my brother at Kisterna. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff is great. On of the best staff members was Stefanos. He went above and beyond and seemed to wear many hats at the hotel. The view is breathtaking and food is authentic since It is a self sufficient facility. There should be no hesitations in choosing this hotel.

Beautiful location and grounds. Great food in the restaraunt, friendly staff. It's a bit of a laborynth finding ones way around at first.

Outstanding! Kinsterna Hotel is simply stunning. From the moment you walk into this hotel you know your somewhere special. Rooms are beautiful and the entire property around the hotel is worth walking around. Our family had a lovely stay and took in all the views, enjoyed the wonderful local wines, relaxed in the beautiful spa, learned about the hotel and grounds by touring with Anastasia and finally enjoyed the great gourmet dinners. Loved that everything that we ate was harvested from the grounds. We had an amazing and unforgettable time.

Absolutely amazing food, great staff and location.

A beautiful place really, in every way! Views, nature, local traditional architecture, elegance and genuine elements! Great service, Giannis (F&B manager) is a real professional, his love for the job and the place is obvious! Amazing cuisine (Giorgos the chef brings out the best! ), Superb cocktails (Nikos is a rare bartender and mixologist! )

Truly amazing experience. The service is impeccable and the people are friendly. The rooms have character and excellent amenities. The pools, the restaurant and the outdoor spaces are chic and beautiful. The views are spectacular and the food is gourmet, fresh and delicious. Words are not enough to describe our unforgettable experience and pictures don't do justice to this formidable place! Definitely recommend it and will for sure be back soon!

One of the best rooms (if not the best! ) I have ever stayed, peaceful area, activities, great food … I can not recommend it enough!

Rare experience! It's all about authenticity and quality in every detail, sophistication and esthetics in concept, service, amenities. Excellent staff, educated, smiling, relaxed, always available. Discrete and friendly presence of the stylish general manager. He was there for staff and visitors giving this tone of a large family. Exciting surprises in activities. We had a rich and excellent breakfast and gourmet dinner, coffee and tea with fine pastry in the afternoon. Add to this, traditional bread and quinces in estate's wine, both baked in the wood oven, carriage ride in the amazing estate, olive press experience with millstone. The room, bedding and bathroom were also excellent, according to the highest standards and professionalism. Not to forget the elegant spa service in the most relaxing environment, we had hammam, massage and face treatment by two wonderful young professionals and felt so comfortable with them from the first minute. The most interesting surprise we had in the bar, the "distillery" concept amazed us, in interior design materials as well as in service, the bartender Nikos is so charismatic and inspired, he prepared an Aviator cocktail for me with fresh violet and lemongrass from the estate.

Perfect hospitality in this boutique retreat hotel in the mountains of Monemvasia. Amazing lot good Greek breakfast with great views to the peninsula. The hotel also offers really authentic experiences like baking bread and making wine.

We staid at the hotel for four nights and enjoyed the amazing room and the pool. Especially the pool bar and the adjacent garden are fantastic.

We had a great stay at Kinsterna. The food was great and the scenery was impeccable. It's also a short drive from some beautiful beaches and historic sites, not that you would want to leave the hotel anyway.
