Easy Life at the hotel. Food and restaurant very good. But cheaper to the north on beach around the headland — low tide best for access. Excellent Similan snorkeling tour well organized 2 x per week in the season. No complaints.

We stayed two weeks, a family of 5, at Poseidon and we loved it. In the middle of the jungle just out towards the sea Poseidon is placed. And yes a lot of small wild insects/animals here, but we got use to it pretty fast. The stone bungalow which we stayed in is not new, but clean and functional. The staff is super friendly, not only the owner Olov, but also Esther and Bibbi who help him out. The staff on the restaurant is also super friendly and the food is nice with reasonable prices. Just beside Poseidon the Rock and Beach Bar is places, where we spend almost all of our days. Really friendly staff, nice beach and low prices on food. Nearby we went to Pang Nga Elephant Park, which is an ethical nice place for the elephants. We took a family package and it was wonderful. All in all a super place for us and the kids and we would definitely recommend to go here.

Clean bungalows, good breakfast and a perfect base to visit Similian, Surin or why not one of the National Parks.

Very nice place to have a mangoshake during sunset. Great location with a view on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Khao Lak area.

Nice staff and very nice restaurant with amazing dishes. The location is nice if you want to get away from things as it's far to Kaoh Lak and we made many 250B one way rides to get something else to eat. All bungalows are close to the water but the water is far from nice, muddy and not clear. There are two or more types of bungalows, we stayed in the cheaper one, the "wooden bungalow" so my story is only from my experience of that one. There are nicer, more expensive ones but I can't tell how they are. If you don't want to spend the nights with your friends of the forest, then this probably isn't the best choice. It started with cockroaches in the bathroom (the bathroom is very small and you can't be two people in there at the same time) but as we are a bit used to them from other places we didn't bother to report them. Then the rat/huge mouse that lived in the floor/walls/ceiling over the toilet. It was awake in the night running around the room. The manager changed rooms for us for a night to "take care" of it. Nice of her to do so and the sub-room was a wooden as well but with parallel holes in the wall inviting a LOT of bugs joining us in bed. Back in the room the rat seemed to be gone but was back again in the evening. A plate of a banana with rat poison was placed on the roof of the bathroom. The animal was very active at night digging through our stuff and making it impossible to sleep.

We were excited about staying here because the grounds are beautiful. The staff is nice and the restaurant had good food and a great view. We didn't get the bungalows in the pictures, but instead some older wooden ones. This wasn't a huge issue, but a little disappointing when you're expecting to see what you see in the photos. The biggest problem was the bed bugs. I woke up the next morning with 80 bites all over my body (not an exaggeration). The sheets in the morning were covered with small blood drops and droppings from the bugs. We checked the mattress and found exoskeletons of the bugs within the seams (they shed their skin). The staff responded quickly and asked us to clear our belongings. I saw that they were using a bug spray for ants, termites, and cockroaches. They were spraying it all on the sides of the box spring. To me, that seemed very toxic and potentially harmful to humans who would be sleeping in the bed in the future. Not the way I would go about it to exterminate bed bugs (you must vacuum the mattress, use bedroom safe products, etc). When I saw that this was their cleaning procedure, we decided to leave. We couldn't take chances staying another night. Now, I have to deal with the itchy consequences for the rest of our vacation here!
