Panselinos Hotel

Nice hotel away from the tourist trails right on the beach. Transfer to Molivos 4 times a day — 5 minutes to drive. If there are a lot of people, the minibus will make as many trips as necessary, but you will have to wait. I would like to note the helpfulness and diligence of the chauffeur (he is also the gardener) — a working man, in such a heat! Thank you for your service.
Very nice greeting on arrival at the hotel. Alexandra was top notch — thank you for your attention to my wishes and such a luxurious welcome! You did an excellent job. Everything in the appartement is very simple but clean and pleasant. Wet cleaning was done every day. Thank you to the caring woman who cleaned apartment 279 from 8-16 June! You are very positive and do your job well. My best wishes to you.
Kitchen utensils are minimal, but I asked for a kettle and a frying pan at reception and they gave me it. Generally, all the staff are very good at communicating, positive and knowledgeable. Thank you very much, guys!
Buy greens and vegetables from the greengrocer in a makeshift stall right behind the hotel on the road (to the right of the hotel) — everything grows here, behind the fence. Very tasty. Cheap.
Excellent clean big pool with sea water, beautiful territory around, but when I went to the pool there were no free sunbeds. Good that I did not need: I went to the sea.

My friend and I stayed here mid September. Lots of positives and a couple of negatives.
First negative, on arrival at about 11pm, our room had a double bed rather than the two singles I had booked. The receptionist seemed quite put out about our request for this to be rectified and said she had waited for our arrival an hour past her shift, despite the fact we were on time. This did see to colour her attitude to us.
The bed got converted into two singles the next day by the helpful cleaners after the older lady on reception told the receptionist it could be done.
Anyway, had a lovely room which was one of the newly renovated ones. It was very clean and modern whilst the rest of the hotel still had that wonderful authentic Greek style.
It is quite isolated though and the nearest decent beach is a 15 walk away (turn right as you leave) opposite a hotel complex and we used their beach sun beds for free and bought lunch and drinks.
We used the hotel mini bus to go into Molyvos to use the beach there a few times, not great beaches (take your water shoes for most of the beaches) and we got a taxi to the beach at Anoxos and the little train back. Caught the 10.10 minibus to Molyvos and the 2.30 one back otherwise it’s 7.30 return which just doesn’t work. A taxi is 8 euro.
We went into Molyvos for 6/7 evenings and had wonderful meals there at a different taverna every time.
Molyvos is just wonderful, unspoilt, uncommercialised, Greece as you want it if you love Greece.

No good nearby beaches. Shuttle only runs a few times a day and is tiny. The room's fridge was half broken, and the freezer compartment was always open. Lots of ants everywhere. Food was good. The bar played weird and too loud music at most times. The pool is with saltwater, which gets very salty throughout the day.

Everyone was really nice. The room was a bit small in my opinion for 5 people and one bed was wonky and uncomfortable. Pool was great and food (we had breakfast and dinner) were tasty and there was plenty to choose from. Overall experience was very positive. We borrowed a car and from this place had a good availability to different parts of the island. Also there is a beach really close.

Lovely hotel, with friendly helpful staff. Great pool with wonderful views, lovely view from our room balcony too. Really loved the food, and breakfast included in our package was plentiful and catered for everyone.
Quiet place not surrounded by other hotels, great bus service from hotel to Molyvos the local town. Rooms are basic but cleaned daily. Mattresses very comfy. Will definately return.

Just had a lovely week at the Panselinos, the staff are wonderful and can't do enough, I met the owner a charming lady who introduced me to her family. A few times we got on the free minibus into the village which is well worth a visit. We found some beautiful restaurants with sunsets, so thankyou to Kostas our driver who over a metaxa gave me great knowledge of the island of Lesvos. My grandson of 17 enjoyed himself and loved the cats especially. Hopefully I will return for Greek hospitality at its best, a slow pace of life, sunshine, great food and smiley faces, Thankyou from Elaine and Jake x.

We really liked the hotel. We woke up every morning with the sounds of birds. The hotel's garden was very nice, with palm trees and pomegranate trees. The rooms were very large and spacious. The room and linens were clean. Our room was cleaned regularly. Breakfast was adequate. Restaurant fees were reasonable. The free shuttle service to Molivos was very useful for us because we had not a car. Staff were friendly and helpful. We easily reached the hotel by taxi from Molivos center. We had to reach Molivos early in the morning on the day of return. The reception helped with us. If I come again, I would like to stay in this hotel again.
There was a bad smell coming from the toilet drain from time to time.

The hotel is lovely, with spacious rooms, cleaned regularly and a really nice pool and eating area.
The staff are great and the chef is a great character.
The location is about 40 mins walk from Molyvos, but this is quite hilly. There is a shuttle bus into molyvos, but its 4 hourly intervals are a bit long. If you are not going to the beach, 4 hours in a small town like Molyvos is too long. An ideal schedule would be every 2 hours, and that would get you back to the hotel in time for lunch, which is very nice.
The breakfast is a mix of Greek and continental, with omelettes thrown in.
The evening meal is either a buffet or fairly varied a la carte, which again is very nice.
The hotel and gardens are surrounded by farmland on 3 sides and the sea, with mainland Turkey, about 5 miles distant.
This is a place to come to avoid hordes of tourists and the associated tourist tat.

We decided to sneak an extra week away after being home from our annual visit to Molyvos and thought “why not? ’
Soma last minute booking we got the last 2 seats on the plane. Me half way down and the better half at the front! It was interesting to go at a different time than normal and put faces to many names of folk who comment on the Facebook groups.
Last drop off by the coach but we were met and shown to our room by a very professional and polite young lady (alas, I can’t recall her name) a quick unpack and straight to the bar where the staff greeted us like old friends. Lovely.
Talking of old friends it was hilarious to see people who assumed we’d left not to return until 2024!
The pool is massive and we always got sun beds. Breakfast was worth getting up for. A minibus ran to the village each night — once as we were the only passengers the driver went and got his own car “faster and easier”
Our room was great. Plenty of space and was cleaned every day.
A few times we got back late to the hotel to find the bar still open…win, win!
We’d highly recommend the Panselinos and wouldn’t hesitate in going back.

Great place, lovely staff, wonderful food and pool area we had a lovely time and would not hesitate to come back xx.
