Marianthi Paradise

My third time at marianthi paradise and as enjoyable as the 1st. The host vasilis and his family could not be more welcoming, thank you. The apartments have an outstanding view of molyvos and the sea, both at day and night. The apartments are always clean and tidy with the newer upgraded rooms not typical of what you normally have in Greece. They are modern and have lovely comfortable beds. The pool area has recently had upgrades such as new comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas. The pool itself is a good size and is a lovely area to relax in the sun. A 15 minute downhill stroll to molyvos where you will find numerous local Greek cuisine at restaurants and bars. Customers return year after year and I can see why.
A very friendly apartment complex of just 36 rooms. This place is just paradise.
Keep up the good work vasilis and enjoy your time off over the winter.

Fabulous location, outstanding panoramic views. Lovely superior room. Great swimming pool. Cheapest mythos in molyvos. The host, vasilis is brilliant, he makes everyone welcome and has a great sense of humour. People return year on year and I can understand why. Fabulous new sunbeds. Quiet location just a 20 minute stroll to the town. Ladies, do not take high heels to molyvos, the streets are cobbled and not suitable for them.

Absolutely loved staying at the marianthi paradise! Lovely location, close to the beach, molyvos and the land train to Petra. All staff were very welcoming and friendly and the room couldn't have been better. The view from the balcony was amazing! Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Apartments situated in beautiful area of Molyvos. Approx 20 minutes walk walk into town and further 10 to harbour. Molyvos very pretty with cobbled streets which are steep in areas so not ideal for people with walking difficulties.
We upgraded to a superior apartment which has recently been renovated. On the surface it was nice and modern but the only let down was the housekeeping. The towells had dirty marks on them and some threadbare. (I can’t believe that we were given these to use I would be ashamed to give these to guests) The bed sheets were not changed whilst we were there and floors not mopped. Our bath mat was just thrown over the balcony each day to try and not changed either. Toilet paper not always replenished (we had to ask for some) Not sure if pool was cleaned or water sample taken as it was dirty by the end of the week.
I think the owners need to oversee the housekeeping as this is basic cleanliness that let the accommodation down. It is a shame as the apartments are in a fantastic spot overlooking the castle and the family are very friendly.

We went to these apartments knowing they were basic so went for the new upgraded studio which on first appearance looked lovely. But. Over the 2 weeks we were disgusted not sure if this is due to the end of the season looming but this should not make a difference. The room was filthy the cleaners came in but did very little all I expect is the basics. The bed wasn’t changed until we stripped it and put it in the middle of the bed. Now the towels they felt and smelt like they were dried and put back in not washed and looked like rags. The pool was filthy and to us a health risk. The apartments have the potential to be great they are in a lovely location with great views. It’s just the basics need to be met better cleaning, a little more equipment in the room crockery, pots etc and a big problem because it was cool in the morning there is no room to sit in the studio to eat …Lesvos island is lovely we hired a car a toured around. For the above reasons we would not return.

Stayed in June for a week.
Even though our flight arrived around midnight, Visilis greeted us and there was also a hand written note in the room wishing us a happy stay!
We were in one of the renovated rooms – typical Greek accommodation that has been updated. Room nicely presented with refitted wet room (rainfall shower — no cubicle), full size fridge, hairdryer, free safe etc. Air con was payable (norm in Greece) but we didn’t need.
Top floor in first block with small balcony with sea view. Very happy with the room which looked like the Jet 2 website pictures.
Around 10 minutes’ walk to the supermarket and 15 to town. We walked several times a day, but taxis were an option.
Didn’t have an issue getting a sunbed but could do with some more as some were broken as were some parasols. If the grounds were updated with some new furniture this would make the overall accommodation even better. It may also encourage external guests to come and use the pool & eat / drink at Marianthi as many of the hotels nearer the centre don’t have pools.
The food at the hotel wasn’t really mentioned and there’s opportunity to expand on this – perhaps a copy of the menu and the opening hours in the room? We did have a drink at the bar and the prices were very good.
Courtesy room (unmodernised) for late checkout which was helpful.
Official rating was 2 star, so low tourist tax to pay.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Recommend the updated rooms. Molyvos is a lovely place.

What a stunning location, 15 minute walk to the centre of Molivos (all down hill). Extremely quiet with some of the most spectacular views and the best sunset you're ever likely to see.
We stayed as a family of 4, 2 adults and 1 child 6 and the other 13 months old, we stayed in a ground floor apartment which was very spacious, super clean and had a lovely little area outside with 2 sun loungers and a dining area with table and chairs.
We got this as a very last minute deal over August Bank Holiday weekend and for the price we paid for 4 nights (£650) self catering we weren't expecting much but how wrong were we? The apartments are lovely, the grounds are stunning with fresh fruit growing all over the place, a lovely pool area, lovely bar area with fresh food being cooked every day, the Greek salad is the best we've ever eaten.
Vasilis welcomed us on arrival and knew all of our names and had all of our rooms ready which was a lovely touch. Vasilis and his family couldn't do enough for us and our little ones the entire time we were there.
Beautiful apartments that are perfect for a little getaway in a beautiful location ideal for families and people looking for a very chilled holiday.
We will be back for longer next year.

We stayed from the end of July for 2 weeks and had the upgraded rooms which were very comfortable and apart from a few ants and finding an e-cigarette from previous guests under the bed (see photos), we couldn’t really fault the comfort and decor of the rooms. The cleanliness could have been better with regards to bedding/towel changes and cleaning the bathroom. The cleaners were friendly and emptied the bins and mopped the floors most days though. They don’t appear to deep clean between guests though (under the beds not great).
On arrival Visilis greeted and showed us to our rooms and said if we needed anything to see him. We ate at the hotel the first night and although a limited menu, a lot of the food is home grown and cooked. Sadly we were put off from returning, by having our meal prepared and served by a very heavily perspiring member of staff, who didn’t seem to mop their brow and was dripping with sweat.
The most disappointing thing for us was the pool area, which we wanted to use and couldn’t due to the pool water being green and murky and sun oil scum around the pool edge. There were 17 sunbeds for 4 blocks of rooms and of these 17 sunbeds, there were many that couldn’t be adjusted, were bowing and screws coming loose and also sharp metal exposed. Parasols were broken and there were no tables to put things on by the beds.

My family and I have just returned from these apartments and I can say our stay was excellent. Vasilis and his family run them and they were extremely hospitable. I can recommend these apartments to anyone. Our room was basic but clean. They are cleaned regularly and you can have air con (paid locally). We would definitely book these apartments again when we return to Lesvos.

Have just returned from a solo trip here for week. Location and room was perfect for me. It was quiet as set a little out of town, but a convenience shop is within 10mins walking and then the town only another 5mins on that dependent on fitness. The views are spectacular with the sea at the front and mountains at the back. The owner is so welcoming and friendly and couldn’t do enough to make sure everyone had a pleasant stay. I would definitely return and recommend to others. For any female solo travellers unsure, I felt safer here on my own than in the UK! 100% an island worth visiting!

Just returned from another amazing holiday in Molyvos. We stayed at the Marianthi Paradise (done so on many occasions) and we're welcomed once again by the amazing Vasilis and his family, always super friendly and accommodating, will look after you like family.
We upgraded to one of their new superior rooms and it was really lovely. Our room had fantastic views over the pool and towards the sea and castle, we enjoyed breakfast on the balcony every morning.
The room itself was fantastic, it had been completely renovated and everything in there seemed fresh and new. All the furniture and storage was new, including mattresses and kitchen area which had an induction hob and good sized fridge. We didn't do any real cooking, but it looked like they had everything if you wanted to.
The bathroom had also been updated to a wet room with a good strong shower with plentiful hot water.
Pool and pool area always clean and tidy and the small bar/restaurant is welcoming and serves amazing home cooked food — Mum's Chicken in the Oven should not be missed!
We will return again as soon as possible, already planning for it!  

Had a brilliant stay in July 2025, 4 nights on a solo last minute trip. Location is perfect, very quiet but still with easy access to Molyvos along a well lit road. Apartment was really good — spacious, clean, modern, well equipped and comfortable. Owner Vasilis is a great guy, very welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed my stay here so wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

This is a lovely family run hotel just outside Molivos. Vasilias who runs the place is a lovely friendly guy, he works very hard as do all of the staff to keep the place clean and every guest happy. Our block does need updating (the other room block had been refurbished) but this is Greece and basic is OK for us. The hotel is in a great spot and There is a lovely seating area to watch the sun go down. The pool is very nice and is certainly needed if you’re sitting in the sun. There are not enough sun beds even though the pool area is quite big. Could fit another 10 in. We decided to go to the beaches instead rather than get into towel wars! I’m sure more guests would stay by the pool = sell food and drink all day if they invested in more sun beds.

We stayed here mid-June. We booked a Superior Studio and upon arrival we were met by Vasilis who gave us a very warm welcome, shaking everyone hands, and explained everything we initially needed to know. We had asked for one of the newly re-furnished apartments and they were lovely. Everything was new and to a high standard. We were very happy! We were in Studio 37, 1st floor with a balcony overlooking the pool and great views towards the sea and the town of Molyvos, perfect!
The rooms have pretty much everything you need including a safe. Air conditioning is available at €7 a day. Our new rooms came with sliding doors onto the balcony with a sliding fly screen which was a fantastic addition as you could sleep with doors open protected by the fly screen, so no bug bites in the night!
Breakfast each morning was a real pleasure as Vasilis was more than happy to tailor it to your needs and quickly learnt everyone’s names which was a talent he has perfected. It’s a family run business and you can tell as they really do make you feel very welcome. There’s a little area with a bar where you can also enjoy an evening meal. There’s a small menu but everything we had was lovely and the prices are very reasonable along with a bottle of wine which is cheaper than in the town.
We stayed for 2 weeks and made it our ‘mission’ to eat in a different restaurant every night, there’s loads of places to eat with the harbour jam packed with restaurants and bars, so plenty of choice!

Had a recent holiday at Marianthi Paradise studios, from meeting Vasiis at check-in and his friendly personality, I knew straight away I was going to enjoy my holiday. It's a bit of a trek to Molyvos, but for a quiet night in, the Marianthi bar you can have the best priced food and drink.

We have stayed at the Marianthi several times over the years. Vassilis and his family are very welcoming, they will offer advice on trips and sort our hire cars, nothing is a problem. The apartments are always spotless, the pool is lovely, with a covered terrace and a bar that serves drinks, snacks, breakfast, ice cream etc. The apartments are a 15 min easy walk into town along a road, you have a great view of the town and castle from these quiet apartments. We booked a superior apartment this year and our friends a superior studio, both newly refurbished to a very good standard.
We would definitely visit again.

What an amazing family run hotel! Myself and my wife stayed in June in one of the new Superior Studios and they were fantastic, new big comfy beds, smart tv, a brand new bathroom and little kitchen area, it was everything you needed and more! However this wasnt the best part, Vasilis and his family work so hard day and night to make your stay enjoyable, he gets to know each of his guests personally and you really feel like one of the family. We had an amazing stay and would just like to say a massive thank you, we really enjoyed our time with you and will be back next year.
