Maybe the best hotel I have ever visited. Forget about simple luxury, this place was breathtaking. The hotel itself is built within the monument of the same name and it feels like a time machine. The rooms had really high domes for a ceiling and they served as rooms for students in the past so things someone might expect to find are simply not there. What really captivated me though was the hospitality. It is by far the best service I have ever received anywhere and the staff was genuinely friendly, very polite and always tried their best to please and delivered. Smallest disadvantage would be that since its built inside a monument, you won't find you typical huge spaces, from the bar to the dining area, but all that is minor compared to the high quality food and drinks and the fact that you can book a table, even in the bar! Astonishing, refreshing and trully one of a kind, totally recommended for anyone who can afford a few days in paradise!

Imaret is an intimate luxurious hospitality property, located within the homonymous historical monument. Built in 1817 right in the middle of the historical district of Kavala, in northern Greece, Imaret is an unexpected oasis of tranquillity and superior service. The monument is a rare example in Europe, a masterpiece of late Ottoman architecture. The variety of decoration, the quality of the delicate structures, the interaction between indoors and open spaces and the adaptability of the functional structures, create an original complex of high aesthetic and cultural value.

Amazing Hotel, amazing historical monument. I totally suggest it, for anyone who visits Kavala. It has some organized tours for everyone, not only the ones staying there. The personnel was very helpful as well.

Interesting choice for accomodation in Kavala but very expensive.

The best SPA in the city!

A wonderful place to spend a weekend. The rooms are unique and we stayed on the doom suite. The sleep there has been deep and very resting like nowhere else we experienced. Breakfast hits the pot and service is late in the night. Discreet and luxurious with service at highest quality level. An experience we recommend to couples that want to move away from the city stress.

We stayed her for 3 nights in July 2017 and wish we were here for 300 nights until 2018.
Spectacular place. Calming and relaxing atmosphere. The staff are wonderful, attentive and always have a smile on their faces. They are happy to talk to you about everything from the beaches in the area to their love of Kavala. Mania and Julia in reception, Dina and the waiter who went to school in Burgas and Plovdiv were exceptional. We loved it so much that we practically didn’t leave campus. The restaurant was amazing and the food was made with herbs from their own organic garden. The flavors were taste bud delights. Coffee and drinks on the terrace was fantastic and a 30 minute tour of the place to find out that over two hundred years ago an orphaned illierate child grew up to build this and give a place for other orphans and homeless to live, eat and learn is inspriring. We relaxed by the pool, had an unbelievable experience in the traditional Hamman and enjoyed every second of our time. We will be back.

Suberb facilities, there seems to be a confusion with cafeteria prices though.
