One of the few beaches without the often painful pebbles/pebbles/rocks of the rest of the island. It is made of sand (sand a little coarse than, therefore, not. It's perfect at your feet) and, with the exclusion of the 4 or 5 small areas equipped by the hotels on the coast, it is absolutely free, allowing you to enjoy sun and sea even more than 20 meters from your peers… closer.

Beautiful beach, with sunbeds in a certain area. The water was really clear and calm, and not too deep. The deal-breaker is the cost of the sunbeds, which is 7€, without coffee. If you want coffee, that's an extra 2€. If you're on a budget, I'd recommend you either skip this beach, or visit it once. There was much better *and cheaper* beaches in Kefalonia.

Beach in Skala has many positive sides, but also some negative. It is quite long and doesn't get too crowded, even in high season. You can surely find nice isolated place to set your towel. If you are up for renting sunbeds, that is available too. The water is generally clean and mostly calm, with the just right transition from shallow to deep. However, when we were there (mid-July) the water was cold. Also, it seems that there is no organised cleaning of the beach. You can run into trash each now and then, even on used needles… Take care of your trash people!

Reconfaces with an umbrella: 7 euros per day. The beach is sandy and pebble. The water is crystal clear but cold. There are water entertains, many taverns and cafes, as well as a grocery magaz. Parking is free.

Very anonymous sand beach. It's big and well-maintained. There are facilities and large free spaces. But nothing else. The sea is often choppy and tends to get dirty with algae. There are parking lots in the shade and the road to arrive and simple and comfortable.

Still a good beach changing each year been coming. Could be cleaner, nobody seams to do that job. Debris washes up and got some oil on our clothes possibly from the jet ski and boat they hire out.

Lovely sandy beaches and gentle waters here. Can get a few more waves which make the water more interesting but generally calm. You can get sunbeds and brollies in front of the local bars if that's what you want or make your own space on the sand. In high season it can get really busy and a lot of people just land at Scala and stay here but we found it's fine to visit here for the day as it can be more lively and commercial than other parts of the island. Nice little town center which is ready to get around but the beach is the main attraction. Car parking can get busy in high season so head there early!

The beach itself is nothing special. A mix of sand pebbles and shingle, but it is long and uncrowded. (Low season). But there is a vast choice of eateries and bars right the way along which are very good.

Nice relaxed place with a lovely view. There's plenty of places to eat and park if your here for dinner. There's also a few toilets etc. There are also a fair amount of sun loungers with parasols too. It's a very rocky breach with lots of pebbles with can be harsh on the feet. Make sure your take shoes / sandles. Looks a good place to do some snorkelling, I didn't do any here mind. There seemed to be a lot of other water related things to do like canoeing etc. I'd recommend a visit.

Gorgeous beach, with plenty of room to find quieter areas. Many good places to eat. A great place to just chill.

My favorite beach, has sandy sections, easy to find an uncrowded spot. Crystal clear water. And a fun town that values its visitors.

The beach is a couple of kilometres long and curves gently. Comprised mainly of small sea polished stones and dark sand, it slopes gently before shelving quite steeply into the sea, adults will be shoulder deep in a few paces. At the Skala end there are tavernas with sunbeds on the beach, moving away from Skala the beach is open though prone to having seaweed washed ashore. There are views of the mainland and Zakynthos. Some watersports are available and boat trips depart directly from the beach. The beach itself is clean and holds blue flag status.

Really nice seaside resort. The town is small with mainly souvenir shops and restaurants as are most places here. Food quality is very good and value also. The beach is mainly a gritty sand but nevertheless a lovely beach to swim and fish from. Sunbeds are readily available. Sorry but the photos are on my camera not on my phone.

Excellent beach. Long (like 2km), sand beach, with beautiful sea views, with couple of great bars, offers sunbeds. Everything you want in one place. No one in Kefalonia will mention it, but we felt sorry for not taking more time on this beach. We went to visit almost every beach on the island and this one was superb! Enjoyed it very much!

Spacious and nice setting with respect to town. Plenty of beach with good area left at low tide. Convenient local resources.

Beach amazing one of the best✅

The water is clean, the seabed is full of fish for snorkelers. Sand grainy beige color mixed with pebbles, the water that gets deep quickly. On Sunday, 6 euros for umbrella and two sun loungers. Quiet beach, frequented mostly by families and older people. One star less because inserted in a citadel to the measurement of tourism English.

A little less than an hour from Spartia, this long spuaggia of pebbles mixed with sand is presented silent, with taverns overlooking it, and is equipped with sun loungers and parasols (6 euros). The sea is transparent and the silence of the swimmers is the master. Ideal for a day of relaxation. Advise the rubber shoes for the little ones.
