Adults only, lovely staff and food,

Absolutely disgusting the way we were treated, booked this hotel October 2021 turned up today to be told the hotel was under refurbishment. Absolute lies 3 couples checked in while we we sat there. Basically they had overbooked and sold our room at a higher tariff. The manager and staff were laughing and the behavior towards us was most upsetting. I’ve not been away since having been diagnosed with breast cancer, and to be lied to and treated this way was extremely upsetting. Shame on you!

Lovely quiet location, classy but not snooty, friendly staff, spacious rooms, nice pool area. Can walk to about 5 beaches and 10 mins walk to many good restaurants. Thoroughly recommended.

Wasn’t our first choice but after our hotel was cancelled we chose the Thalassa and what a great choice it turned out to be clean well run and great staff during the storm they really stepped up and made sure we were looked after and safe and of course an amazing view as well thanks.

Absolutely amazing hotel!
We’re a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Couldn’t fault anything. The bar staff amazing, reception staff and breakfast too. Loved the slower pace of breakfast with table service, much more relaxed as it should be on holiday.
Spotlessly clean, fabulous pool and bar. The cocktails are amazing (thank you Marios)!
Will definitely be back!

Loved it here, just me and the wife on a last minute 10 night break, would thoroughly recommend for a couple to spend their time here.

1st full day hotel, very nice staff, very welcoming, room after a mix up, very good, pool area's tidy quiet! Just right to relax. Breakfast very good lots of choice too …

Fantastic little hotel with very picturesque views. Pool is warm and deep, a little snack bar which offers a lot for not a lot! Two lovely ladies behind reception. The rooms were really special and the breakfast was good too, offering some local Greek breakfast foods too.

All in all I loved this place and would come here again, but I can't give it 5 stars. I'll start with the good (there's a lot of it! ) : the grounds are beautiful with a breathtaking view, the location is perfect, 3 mins walk from a tiny beach that I really liked, 10 mins from the famous Makris Gialos beach, 5 mins from town with all the restaurants. But still super peaceful and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful, pool is really great, our room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast + evening happy hour were nice. So really, overall it's great. What lost a star for me was a few maintenance issues and pretty slow internet. The biggest problem was the bathroom which had a weird smell of mildew. On the day we came in there was no hot water, but the issue was fixed the day after, I don't know if it's common. The room was clean but but the general feeling of long term maintenance (mostly in the bathroom) was suboptimal, especially considering the relatively high price here and the otherwise high standards of the place.

As I am working in the hotel business myself, I know very well what it means beeing a good host… and I can say: Our stay at the Thalassa Boutique Hotel was absolutely delightful!
We chose this hotel because of its great lokation and good online reviews… and we were not disappointed. It ist definitely one of the best hotels in greece I have ever been to.
The employees are really outstanding. They are very knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated. The rooms are very clean, well-furnished and offer a spectacular view over the tourquoise sea. The beds are very comfortable and the Mediterranean style breakfast was absolutely delicious. I just loved my stay there!
I definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Kefalonia. It is a lovely, gracious hotel. We will come back for sure!

Overpriced and overrated. The photos on the website are misleading — showing the pretty common spaces — but the rooms don't match. Our room had a nice sea view but the room itself was musty and tired looking like it hadn't been maintained very well. Our phone didn't even work. Also the town is extremely touristy. Wouldn't come back.

Great views. Lovely breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room good with good shower. Small quiet sandy beach very close. Kettle only no actual tea or coffee provided. Fridge and a safe in the room. Bar drinks expensive so buy your own and drink on your own balcony.
