Lagoon View Apartments

Just returned from Lagoon View Kefalonia. Our plane was late arriving and we were met by the owner, Panos. He had been helpful answering my questions via email before we arrived and he had a meal ready for us when we arrived, which was lovely. We arranged via email to hire a car but sadly there were no cars available for our first two days. Panos gave us a lift to Lassi for two days and we got taxis back.
The apartment was lovely, I had paid extra for a large balcony. The bed was very comfortable and there was everything we needed including a washing machine which meant we arrived home with no laundry to do. It was spotlessly clean and towels were changed mid week.
Noise level — take ear plugs if you are noise sensitive — next door's dog barked frequently during the night. Other than that, I think all the guests respected each other and were very considerate and quiet.
You do need to hire a car here. There are no pavements on the road down to Lassi and Argostolli. Sadly, the two days we were without a car, the bar by the pool was closed so the only way to go out for food was to take a taxi again which was 15 euros each way — this is quite expensive for a 5 minute drive to town.
Greek rules mean that you can't eat or drink by the pool unless you buy your food and drink from the bar. If the bar was shut, as it was each afternoon, you have to go back to your room for snacks or drinks and then go back to the pool!

My first solo holiday was at Lagoon View Apartments recently. I was a little apprehensive — but I needn’t have worried. Panos and Mary have created wonderful apartments, beautiful pool area with the most comfortable sun beds and nothing was too much trouble for them.
They were welcoming, friendly and knowledgable of the area. Panos kindly took me into Agastoli as I wasn’t driving. The other guests were also friendly and this created a very laid back atmosphere.
I loved my week and can’t wait to return!

We spent a week at Lagoon View Apartments and could not have asked for a better place to stay in Kefalonia. Panos was very friendly and helpful and gave us useful suggestions about places to visit.
Our apartment was the best one for views. It was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed for self-catering—kitchen facilities, washing machine, air conditioning, and a balcony with an incredible view over the lagoon and mountains. We enjoyed breakfast on the sunny balcony with that spectacular view every morning.
The pool area was clean, peaceful, and often we had it all to ourselves. It was perfect after a day’s travelling around the island.
Location-wise, it’s essential to have a car. There isn’t anything within safe walking distance. The apartments are only a short drive to Argostoli which had lovely square full of great bars and restaurants. We had a meal there most nights. If you don’t want to drive Panos can organise taxis there which are €15.
Our week at Lagoon View Apartments was everything we hoped for—relaxing, welcoming, and memorable. If you’re looking for a peaceful base in Kefalonia with great hospitality, this is the place. We’d love to come back one day.

Our first time in Kefalonia but not our last, we’ve already booked for next year. Lagoon view apartments are a very small complex set in Lathkira, a village set above the capital Argostoli. The apartments are large with everything you could need for self catering, the balconies are also large so perfect for alfresco dining and chilling, lots of space for hanging washing which we did daily thanks to the washing machine in the apartment. The standard of the apartment was excellent, including the bathroom with a fantastic shower. The pool area is very clean and tidy, very peaceful and often just us or one more couple. Panos and Mary are on hand to make your stay as comfortable as possible, panos running the small pool bar and Mary preparing home cooked dinner to order with 24 hours notice. We hired a bike and toured all over the island, coming back to lagoon view was like coming home for rest and relaxation. We slept brilliantly, comfy beds and no noise other than the crickets. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance but a short drive takes you into the capital, this location also give you the freedom to catch the ferry to Lixouri very easily opening up the other side of kefalonia. Unless you plan to stay put here you will need a car but to be honest the island has so much to offer you would really be missing out if you didn’t explore. The roads are easy to navigate and the views as you cross the island are stunning. Thank you Panos and Mary, see you in 2026.

We have just returned after an amazing 11 night stay at Lagoon View apartments.
We wanted a base where we could explore the island from and Lagoon View apartments are perfect.
Panos is a great host — he knows when his guests are arriving and is there to meet everyone with a warm welcome.
The apartments are clean, modern and have every amenity that you could want. My biggest suprise was the washing machine — being able to come home from holiday with a clean case of clothes for me is a game changer (sad but true! )
We did our research beforehand and knew that car hire would be essential, not research enough though to realise that Panos actually has cars that he hires at a more competitive rate. We will definitely book through him next time!
We have visited Greek islands many times and realise that when you are in an apartment (not a hotel), there is an expectation that there will be a charge for the air con and the room safe so it was not a suprise to pay an additional amount.
Granted there is not a view of the lagoon from every balcony, however if you step outside, the views from the gardens down into Argostoli and the lagoon are beautiful, especially at night where the lights are all twinkling.

An excellent location for a quiet and calm escape. We had a fabulous time. Room was recently updated with new and modern walk in shower. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The hosts are excellent! Panos couldn’t do enough to make our visit as enjoyable as possible, very attentive and keen for us to have a lovely time. Lots of information and advice offered on the island.
Mary is an outstanding cook, all meals prepared fresh and excellent quality — good wholesome Greek food and happy to cater for a very fussy eater — thank you ❤️

Wow what a nice place, owners Panos and Mary are two very hard working kind people.
If your after a nice quiet place to relax, then this is the place!
Chill and relax by the pool, lunch and dinner available and it is all home cooked by Mary and the portions are massive!
There is bar next to the pool for afternoon and evening drinks.
Rooms are lovely and comfortable, to be honest though you will spend most of your time next to the pool or down in the town.
Highly recommend this lovely peaceful holiday destination.

Brilliant time here yet again. Our fourth visit to Lagoon view; sixth to Kefalonia. We had the premium apartment on the first floor this year with its large balcony and beautiful vista stretching from Argostoli to the Ionian sea; also, great for stargazing. The apartment is well equipped with a microwave, a full oven and a four-ring induction hob allowing self-catering, although Mary and Panos can provide meals if required at lunch or in the evening at the bar area. Towel changes are regular and linen is changed once a week, but there is also a washing machine and drying facilities available for your use. You'll need a car, but this allows access to some of the most beautiful places to see across the island including lots of beaches and places of interest. You will usually find the pool area undisturbed as visitors take full advantage of car trips, ourselves included, which means there literally can be no-one poolside except you on those days you decide to stay put.

Peaceful Escape.
This was out first stay here and we will definitely be coming back. It was the most laid back holiday ever. It is set in a quiet location with amazing views and so peaceful. There are only a handful of apartments so there is always plenty of room around the pool. The room was clean and the air con was a dream when the temperature was up in the mid 30s. Panos was always at a discreet distance somewhere when you needed anything and we noted that he had been in each day when we were out to empty the bins. You could tell the whole place was looked after well. We will be back. Thanks Panos and hope to meet Mary next time.

We’ve just had a lovely stay at the Lagoon view apartments, Panos was so welcoming and made killer cocktails at the pool! It’s the perfect place if you want to relax by the pool or get out and see the island. We didn’t get the opportunity to sample Marys cooking but Panos provided fantastic restaurant recommendations. We will certainly be back! Dan & Emma.

The room we eventually got was very good, clean and well equiped.
However when we first arrived we were presented with a very poor room, tired, dark and gloomy; with a view of the car park, no veranda or usable patio. We had booked and paid for a superior room.
We were then presented with an aggressive demand for $250 euros in cash (A/C 200, Safe 30, Tax 20) asked for a receipt but were refused. No mention of these charges when booking via Tui.
Should have been warned when as advised by previous review I asked for a quote to hire a car… $700 euros for 10 days! Paid £250 myself.
We were moved after we complained, very good room, comfortable etc.
No veranda or usable patio, very open windy no privacy.
No Lagoon view from either room, it is clear although the apartments are advertised as "Lagoon View" apartments very few are and not all have the gourgous verandas people rave about.

We have been coming to these apartments since 2020 usually for several weeks. This year we stayed for 5 whole weeks. For us there is nowhere better to stay for peace/tranquility and stunning views of the lagoon and mountains. These adult only apartments are very clean, spacious and comfortable. Panos and Mary are most welcoming and always on hand to give any advice in order to make the best of your holiday. We had to arrange a routine blood test whilst we were here and Panos was very helpful assisting us with this. Lagoon View is ideally situated close to the capital Argostoli and in a great position for travelling up and down the Island. Also being very close to many lovely beaches. Being up in the hills a car is essential and you can now hire a car direct with Panos. If you do not wish to cook you can book a variety of home cooked meals made by Mary and they are truly delicious! The pool area is very relaxing and always has sun beds. Quite often we had the pool to ourselves due to other guests being out and about. There is also a pool bar which is a great place for mingling with others. Once again another great holiday at Lagoon View, a place we consider “Home”! ThankYou Panos and Mary.

Yet another perfect stay at Lagoon View! Panos and Mary were as helpful and knowledgeable as ever and the apartment was spotless as usual. I am running out of superlatives to describe how good Lagoon View is and can only say that we have already booked for 2026 — no better recommendation!

Spotlessly clean apartments with the most comfortable bed we've ever had on holiday! Spectacular views and so quiet. Gorgeous welcoming pool and excellent sunbeds. You need a car, we hired one from Pefani's, highly recommended. A trip up to the top of Mount Ainos is a must for awesome scenery and wonderful fresh cooling air! Panos and Mary are very helpful. Very discreet apartment servicing too. Bins emptied daily. Nice poolside bar to chill out at. Also, being adults only is a big plus!

If you want a quiet authentic Greek holiday then this is for you! From its amazing location to its even warmer hosts, Panos and Mary have the most beautiful apartments. They have thought of everything to make your holiday unforgettable, from a fully equipped apartment to car hire, which is essential, to beautiful beaches and restaurants, all with Panos’s recommendations! Another year at Lagoon View Apartments — nothing has changed! Felt like we were returning home. Apartment is very well equipped including a washing machine and Air conditioning which is easy to use. Mary’s cooking is excellent with good portion sizes and a varied menu. Stunning views by the pool and bar. Nothing is too much trouble for Panos or Mary. There is no doubt we will be back again next year which can’t come quick enough. Thank you both very much for a lovely peaceful and happy holiday.

Lagoon view apartments are run and owned by Panos and Mary and they are the most wonderful hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. They will do anything for you. You have your own apartment which has everything you need from a washing machine to an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer. The views are amazing. The pool is just for the guests and is very quiet and relaxing. You can hire a car from them too and visit different authentic Greek villages. Mary is a wonderful cook she makes some lovely Greek food. First time visiting here but we will definitely be back again.
