Leaving today to go home it has been fantastic and will defo be back. So clean, staff are great food is great the location is fa b. 10 out of 10 had a medic blip but even that was sorted in a few hours thanks to hotel and local doctor.

Only had lunch and beer, both very nice. Great view and service was very good.

The best place I know to relax and enjoying the wonderful location. It's a place were you're getting to know the people which is working at the hotel. 5 stars.

AVRA beach hotel is in a sublime location on the most beautiful island in Greece called Lefkada or Lefkas. The owners of Avra are warm, welcoming and professional. They have been in business since 1966. It is one of the original hotel taverns in Nidri. The food is cooked on site using fresh local produce. The hotel is literally on the beach overlooking several stunning islets, including the world famous private island of Scorpios, originally owned by Aristotle Onassis. Behind the islets drape the towering mountains of of the western Greek mainland which turn pink at sunset due to the reflection of the blood-red setting sun. The beach is perfect for swimming with calm protected waters. The island is world-renowned for its famous beaches. It is the island where the Greeks go for their holidays, and is described as the Caribbean of Greece.

A very nice hotel, right by the sea with its own tavern. All very casual and friendly. Our room clean, equipped with air conditioning and refrigerator. We had a nice holiday there!

Beautiful family run hotel and taverna. Centrally located in the small village of Nidri. Perfectly managed. Extremely clean. Outstanding food. Kid friendly beach with attached garden with lots of shades from the trees.

Family owned, good value for money, all needed in the rooms. Beach is not as great as others on the island but still ok.

Excellent place indeed! It will remain imprinted in my memory forever, I absolutely loved it. The food at the taverna was fresher and tastier than all the other places I've tried in the port area.

Beautiful, cramped, cozy, breakfast is weak.

Situated at the quieter end of Nydri. No pool but it doesn't need it. 20 paces and you're on the narrow pebble beach with beautifully clean waters of the Ionian sea with views of Scorpios and Meganisi. Sun beds on the beach are 3€ a day and the air conditioning in the rooms is free. Basic clean accommodation and a simple continental breakfast. Key operated safe in the room is free, with a small fridge and TV and hairdryer. Well worth taking a small launch out to visit Meganisi with plenty of options for boat hire at the opposite end of the town. Trident Boats were very reasonable. No shortage of good food in the town with some real gems with fresh seafood. I personally recommend visiting De Blank Wine and Champagne bar down by the harbour… a bit pricier than most bars but has some fantastic wines.

Have been visiting Avra for many years now, sometimes twice a year! Everything is as you would want it to be. Very very clean with linen and towels changed frequently. Amazing extensive continental breakfast with a selection of breads, meats, cheeses, olives and pastes, eggs, yoghurt with fruit in juice or fresh fruits, juices teas and coffees etc! AMAZING!
Staff are very very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Hotel right on the beach with a lovely garden alongside their family taverna which provides traditional home made Greek food. Enjoy!

The hotel is clean with a good breakfast. The room was nice and clean. Only thing is that the towels will only be refreshed two times a week.

The staff are incredibly friendly, the rooms are clean and have air conditioning. There is a good selection of tradional greek food at the restaurant, which also has lovely views out over the sea.

Nice hotel. Basic but convenient. Right on beach with beautiful views. Only criticisms, disappointed that although staying at hotel still had to pay 2.50 euro per day for each sunbed & 5.00 euros per day for Aircon. And the bedrooms could b cleaner.

In the travel brochure it said 2 star. No way is this a 2 star hotel. It is lovely and clean, the food is excellent and the staff really nice. The beach is right on the seafront and also has lovely gardens for relaxing in (and getting some shade from the sun! ). Would definitely recommend it.

Dreamy location, spectacular views, beach front location, delicious traditional Greek cuisine, the world's best climate… what more can you ask for!

Excellent hotel, very clean, friendly staff. Great location, almost on the beach and not far to Nydri resort centre. Food available in the Avra taverna was good quality and very reasonably priced. Room facilities were good, and also well maintained. Breakfasts were very good with a good choice of food. I will go there again!
