Reviews of San Nicolas Resort Hotel 4*
We stayed 7 days in Penelope Suite 503 in the 1st week of August. The suites are in a new, separate building adjacent to the Hotel main building. The location above the bay is marvellous with a spectacular view on the bay. The staff throughout very friendly. The Hotel could be a good 4+ star resort but it does not live up to 4 stars in too many aspects: The architect did not do his homework properly: Theoretically our suite should have full sea view. Unfortunately, the gardener planted a row of trees right in the middle of our sea-view one level below our row of suites so the crowns of all trees blocked our sea-view. The suite itself does not have panoramic windows, just conventional ones so you can only see the sea (trees) if you stand. Once you sit or lay on the bed the view is limited to a view into the sky. The suite itself is of good quality, solid beds, sofa etc. Clean. Good and modern bath. The entrance to the 4 suites (503 is the 3rd of a row of 4 suites, all with sea-view) is from the front, not from the back of the building. This means the entrance is via the terrace. So all privacy of your suite is killed by those guests or personnel that pass in front of your terrace. That passway of approx. 3m in front of the terraces is made of concrete tiles that heat up during the hot days, you feel like being in an oven and cannot use the terrace.
