Very nice everything you need with in walking distance.

When you’ve been flying long hours and have problems with the airline teller… not an answer yes may I help or let me help with this problem… then you get to your Samaria Hotel with nice welcoming voice and said… ”welcome! ” with a big pretty smile. I paused and took a nice deep breath. I finally felt relax. The lobby a cheerful place. Positive people working for a your great stay.

We arrived from Canada and spent four nights in Chania (Crete) as part of our honeymoon. Choosing to stay at the Samaria Hotel rather than a resort was a great decision. The hotel was very modern and clean, and the staff were very warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond for us! We booked our daily excursions (ex. Balos, Elafonissi, etc. ) with local tour operators through the hotel. The hotel is within a short walking distance to the Old Town. The room we stayed in was modern, clean, and well-equipped. We felt right at home. The breakfast (included with stay) each morning was incredible with a great selection of fresh dishes and beverages. We miss it! We would most definitely stay here again!

4 Stars We have been staying with this hotel every time we visited Chania cause of its location,
right next to the bus station. A few minutes walk to Chania old harbour where you will find lots of restaurants and shops. Friendly, helpful & welcoming reception & the rest of the staff. Nice size pool. A good size clean & modern room & bathroom, coffee & tea maker, safety deposit box, TV & refrigerator. Love the breakfast. Good selections Thank you for our comfortable stay with you, until next time.

Fantastic location right in the heart of Chania, and only a ten minute walk from the old port. The hotel has undergone a recent renovation and is absolutely stunning with top notch amenities. Definitely have to mention the fantastic candle-lit dining area by the pool, accompanied by a delicate live piano… The food is also fantastic (really top notch and very reasonably priced with large portions — a real rarity these days! ). Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the service we received was absolutely outstanding from all members of the staff. A truly fantastic experience and would definitely highly recommended to anyone.

Strategic location. One block and you are in the pedestrian area. Close to the bus station. The fixtures do not completely cancel out the noise of the vehicles parked with the engine on, but the background noise is not intrusive. Rooms not very large but comfortable bed and bathroom. Full breakfast, great products, possible even poolside. Not large pool, as well as space for deckchairs, I would say at max 20 people. The car seat attached to the hotel, for a fee, 8th/day, is excellent and indispensable. Should. In August not cheap.

Really professional staff who gives excellent service. Made us feel like VIP guests. Lovely breakfast buffet. The à la carte dining in the restaurant is delicious too! Highly recommended.

I can only agree with all the positive recommendations: Amazing friendly stuff, the bed was unbelievably cosy and soft with 2 kinds of pillows, the pool awesome to swim and the food from the room service delicious. Only if you stay on the first floor to the front you can not have your window open cause of the exhaust gases and noise but that didn't bothered us that much for 2 days and air condition. So we would definitely come back.

Great service and a beautiful hotel, the rooms were lovely and the staff are all so friendly. Food was good too however we had emailed ahead to inform them of dietary requirements that they seemingly had no idea about when we arrived however they did everything they could to accommodate us so it wasn't an issue. Right next to the bus station for transport and close to the harbour as well, absolutely perfect for a stay in Chania.

I had the pleasure of an extended stay at the Samaria. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The fitness room and pool were clean and well maintained, with the pub next door for a refreshment. The staff at the Samaria were outstanding! The cleaning staff took excellent care of my room while the front desk greeted me daily and provided info on the local attractions. Every meal the Chef prepared was delicious and served by courteous staff in the restaurant, poolside or pub. Did I mention the awesome bar staff?

Wonderful place. Great room and service. We got upgraded to a suite and it has a nice view. Great pool and central location.

Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for making my mums birthday weekend such a memorable one! Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Chania. It’s a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location with absolutely lovely staff. The cocktails were also gorgeous! X.

Great hotel, right in the city center, not far from the harbor. Wifi, swimming pool, gym… And to top it off, very competent and bilingual staff for some. I would recommend this hotel!

Beautiful hotel, great for a few nights. Parking seemed expensive, and the rooms and bathrooms were very small; fitness center limited but with modern equipment. Breakfast was amazing! And very short walk to historic Venetian Port.

Phenomenal hotel with fantastic rooms and breakfast. My favorite part was the overhead rain showerhead.

This hotel is fairly small! Clean and well kept but small! I feel like I over paid for this room; there were plenty of places in the area that were bigger and cheaper! The breakfast was ok. The staff was friendly!

Great hotel, class and very beautiful, impeccable room, canon bathroom. We loved it! Good location with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops nearby. Very good breakfast with freshly squeezed juices! Only downside: The bus station next door, so a little noise when you are at the edge of the pool (which moreover is very pretty) but if not top.

Day 2 a couple of little issue on arrival and some terrible news from home — what a start to our holidays I thought but no the hotel staff sorted everything out and are so amazingly friendly its helping us to deal with our sadness — thank you for being so accommodating — the rooms are lovely and clean and as someone else said the attention to detail is very good — a really fabulous hotel.

The room view we had was facing the bus station. Quite noisy when on balcony. The rooms were very clean and tidy though. Please specify a non-smoking or smoking room.
