Beautiful hotel in a really fantastic location. Right in the heart of the old town of Rethymno with lots of fabulous restaurants and bars. We really loved our room which had a terrace which was a great surprise. We would definitely recommend this hotel and had we been there just a few weeks later we would have also loved to sit in the courtyard for dinner below our room. All of the reviews of it sound fantastic. Thanks and wishing you a very successful summer 2022 😊

Absolutely beautiful hotel and restaurant in the heart of Old Rethmnyo. The staff was extremely welcoming. The room was well furnished. Dinner was delicious. I want to come back again and again! — with Melly Rebot and Veronica Essén.

The ambiance at this hotel is incredible. Breakfast very good. Served at the small hotel bar by a very friendly lady. Very good for Greek conditions. The coffee incredibly delicious.
Breakfast is served in a small courtyard. Very cozy.
From there our room also went. In the room there is a fan, which should always run because of the old walls. That was disturbing at night. On the second night he was out. Heavenly peace. The air conditioning is easy to bear in low mode.
Our dinner was very good. Slightly more expensive, but not overpriced with a bottle of wine. The finer cuisine. Wine was carefully re-served by the waiter.
The location in the middle of the old town is great. Parking can be done in a parking lot, about 10 minutes walk for 15 euros a day.
I would book here again.

I was a guest at a wedding where the reception was organised by Veneto. Fantastic food, helpful staff beautiful venue. Made this wonderful day even more special for the bride and groom and their guests. We got never ending greek mezze to start with and a main course in form of stuffed chicken and wonderful cheesecake to top it all. Fantastic experience.

Great location and food to have a dinner. I was there a week ago for a dinner with my wife. I really appreciated the menu which includes traditional dishes we opted to. I also appreciated the quality of food. Last but not least personal is very kind.

A cool tranquil oasis with an exclusive feel. Right in the epicenter of the historical town. Great selection of wines and exquisite food, delivered by friendly stuff and jazzy background music. However we waited more than one hour for the main course.

We had the friendliest service and a great dinner here. The feta pie was phenomenal, make sure to start with that. For main course, we had seafood risotto and the ribeye which were both good. Super friendly waitress. Awesome history of the building. Make sure to sit out back in the garden.

My family and I had a wonderful week here at the Veneto. It's ideally placed in old town with everything there — shops, town square, minaret, fountain, Fortezza, excellent restaurants of all types just a couple blocks away. Our two rooms were very comfortable with one, room 103, housing me and my wife on a large bed on a loft level, and our two children on day beds on the room's entry level. My mother had a room of her own just around the corner with a small balcony. The restaurant is quite good and they provide an excellent breakfast each morning in the courtyard. The Veneto itself is beautifully restored with wonderful ambiance that does not compromise its comfort. The staff are extremely kind and have taken great care of us. Parking is three or so short blocks away and very convenient. I highly recommend the Veneto for a true old town experience.

We had the most amazing dinner and one night stay in this lovely hotel. The service was exceptional, the atmosphere was enchanting, and the bedroom was very comfortable. We are at the start of a 2 week stay in Crete and hope that our other accommodations work out this well!

Two vegetarians abroad in meat city! Help was on hand at the Veneto, a well restored former Venetian mansion. Spying the restaurant as we walked the narrow streets of Rethymno Old Town we were shown the garden dining room and the menu was explained. Returning later for dinner we were welcomed by the very pleasant staff and shown to a table for two, facing the fountain. Meat is in abundance as it seems to be in every Cretan restaurant but a select few dishes were perfectly vegetarian and carefully explained in English. We had the bread and olives with Cretan cheese to pick at, followed by the Aubergine and yoghurt dip. A large portion arrived together with Madarites mixed salad. I wish we could make either or both of these at home, they were so good and so fresh! Next, pasta with Cretan herb pesto and pine nuts. Again excellent but portion size too big for my wife and I was too polite to finish hers off after eating mine. I wish I had paid more attention to the name of the white wine but if we get the chance to go back I will have that again. Excellent food, beautiful surroundings and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Spacious, clean, expensive. Nice patio. The stairs are steep, there is no elevator. For those who are important it should be taken into account. There are no rooms on the ground floor.

The restaurant is nicely placed in the backcourt. Waiters are friendly, but not what I expected. The food is good, but it was less than I expected due to high ratings and many reviews on this place. I feel that other places in Rethymon are of higher quality.

This place is absolutely stunning. Traditional Greek cuisine, excellent service and we were seated in a beautiful little courtyard. The food was excellent and attention to detail superb. A must if you are visiting Rethymnon.

We didn't satisfied with food. I ordered filet sea bream, its very but very small portion for price of 19€, it was very sour for my taste. The house red wine was horrible. I expected a lot from these restaurant because it looks very prestige and luxury. The ambient is very nice but food and service not. Don't let you trick outside and inside ambient.

The food is good, but the service is way to slow. We waited for a full hour for our main dishes after we have finished eating the starters.

Food was below average according to Cretan standard, but the place is amazing.

Just back from a delightful trip to Rethymno on Crete. Our base was the Veneto Hotel and I have to say it was great, full of character with little extra details that added to the experience. And the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Had the best variation on the traditional octopus in the restaurant. The staff is friendly and passionate about their food. Definitely recommend anyone who has the chance to try their menu.

Spacious and clean rooms, quiet and comfortable located in the historic centre of Rethimon. Maybe to improve the restaurant.

A lovingly restored old Venetian house from the 14th century awaited us. Even without pre-order we got a nice table in the quiet courtyard (however it was in May). The service, the ambiance and also the food were absolutely top — a gastronomic highlight in Rethymno. And if you ask nicely, you can also visit the wine cellar worth seeing. And the one or the other hotel guest complains about the volume, hello people, waking up — that's the old town of one of the hottest hotspots in Crete!

Went to the hotel restaurant which was absolutely amazing! Attentive service, quality of food and interior! Loved it.

Came here the first night that we arrived in Rethmynon. The lady brought is inside from the street explained that it was an old monastery and showed us the secret garden that they have in the back. Gorgeous setting, I had the moussaka with a starter they recommended. The house wine was delicious too. Definitely recommend.
