We stayed just for 3 days. It was so nice, very friendly personal, warm atmosphere, great and healthy breakfast, nice space for rest… Clean room and balcony. Near to Akropolys and New Museum Of Athens. I wish stay there again for next time ❤️ Τι ωραία περάσαμε στο ξενοδοχείο Φίλιπποs! Άνθροποι αίναι πάντα έτοιμοι γιά τη βοήθεια! Მრავალფეროვანი, ჯანსაღი და ნოყიერი საუზმე, აქვთ რამდენიმე მოსასვენებელი სივრცე, უფასო ინტერნეტი, 24 საათის მანძილზე უფასო ყავა და ჩაი. Ბიზნეს სივრცეში შეგიძლიათ ნარდითა და ჭადრაკით გაერთოთ. Სუფთა ნომრები, პატარა და ლამაზი აივანი, მშვენიერი ტერასა, საიდანაც განსაკუთრებით ლამაზი ხედი იშლება ღამე. Სასტუმროდან ხუთ წუთში მიხვალთ ათენის ახალ მუზეუმამდე და ამდენივე დრო გჭირდებათ აკროპოლისამდე. Აპრილსა და მაისში ქუჩებში ყვავილების სუნი დგას 100% recomended from me ☺️

Perfect and quiet place near acropolis station, plaka. Friendly staff and clean room. We can find all what we need around.

A very well located hotel near the historic centre at the foot of the Acropolis. Hard to do better location. Small room, but with large terrace. Only downsides, the rather poor quality of the bedding (too soft and relaxed) and the breakfast just acceptable. Discreet, efficient and kind staff.

Clean, located close to the Acropolis, quiet. The only negative was when I returned earlier than the rest of the family and was asked to prove what room I was in. Any time my husband was present we weren't asked and any time I was in the lobby area I never saw anyone else be asked. It was a minor thing but annoying nonetheless.

Staff friendly and always willing to accommodate. Found beds very comfortable and rooms, property clean. Comfortable front lobby, sitting and breakfast areas. Breakfast had healthy choices and fresh. Coffee was good too. Location is perfect just couple blocks from Acropolis, Museums and great cafes and restaurants. It’s also very short walk to old town and Monastiraki for shopping. Staff did a special favor for us which we are very grateful and would like to thank the front desk staff.

It's lovely. Clean and fresh, and staff are friendly. Star knocked off because rooms are small, but they are comfortable. Compehensive breakfast in hotel. Restaurant is in sister establishment Herodion Hotel 150 metres away with a rooftop terrace and a view of the Acropolis just next door. Menu good, dining is an experience not to be missed.

It's a very nice place to stay, the staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean though somewhat compact, and the morning meal was excellent. Aside from those it also has a convenient location and a beautiful terrace that's perfect to sit and chat late into the night.

One of the best hotel locations for walking in the centre of Athens with a visit to the Acropolis. And the price is overpriced. T. K. The hotel rooms are very very small. People of large stature will be quite uncomfortable to use the rooms. Standard Breakfast. From the positive it is worth mentioning very soft beds. The hotel has a beautiful viewing platform on the 8th floor, offering one of the best views of the Acropolis. It is worth to make a number of photos from there.

Nice place, close to the museum. The area is decent. There is a great bakery nearby and a minimarket running late. Metro and cafes are also nearby.
The rooms are spacious, although the cabinets sometimes hide behind the curtains (unusual layout).
There is a lift, the computer is in the lobby on the ground floor. Good breakfast.
Everything is clean, the maid is polite. Prices are divine. Recommend.

Three star hotel near Acropolis and metro, with friendly, English speaking staff. The hotel is a few minute walk from the Acropolis metro station, so you can take the metro from the airport, switch line in Syntagma station and you're there. The view on the rooftop garden is amazing, since you can see Acropolis and the surrounding area, but the rooftop garden itself wasn't as nice as seen on pictures. The Hotel breakfast (on the first floor) was adequate and filling, but if you do not want to pay there is a bakery and coffee shop right next door. The neighborhood is friendly. The rooms were small, but if you do not plan to spend time there it's enough. They were clean, but I'm not sure how carefully they were cleaned during our stay. Some of the rooms have a balcony, and I think all of them have air conditioning. Also worth mentioning, even though they have a free Wi-Fi, it is not suitable for working, since it is slow. It's more suitable for casual surfing on the web. As for dining opportunities, Philippos does not have a restaurant of it's own, but their partner hotel (Herodion) has. It's quite expensive, fine dining. Otherwise, there are plenty of good restaurants nearby and cafes/bars (within 5 minute walking distance). To sum it up: The hotel is located in a friendly neighborhood, it has friendly and professional staff and it's walking distance from most of the sights and it has clean rooms. My visit was 5/5. Edit: Added the name of the partner hotel (Herodion).

Well situated hotel with all major tourist attractions in Greece within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and able to give good recommendations for placed to eat nearby. Free breakfast was included and had good variety of cooked and continental style food available. Knocking off one star for two reasons — loud banging noises waking me up from what appears to be some minor renovation work, and a couple of occasions where house keeping ignored the do not disturb button, again entering the room and waking me before immediately leaving.

Great location! Right across from the Acropolis Museum. Excellent price, very clean… and private bathroom to boot! The hotel also has a rooftop terrace with incredible views of Acropolis and the Parthanon… especially at night. Will stay here the next time we're in Athens!

This is a great little hotel, very clean with great and friendly service. We were there for 2 days and couldn't get a booking on our return trip. The rooms are in immaculate condition, and ours came with a beautiful, large balcony.

Can't say much about the hotel as we were moved to their sister hotel down the block upon check in due to overbooking. They made the transition process simple and the sister hotel (Herodion Hotel) was very nice.

We chose to stay at Hotel Philippos because of it's proximity to the places we wanted to visit without having to waste time and spending money on transportation. We were very glad we did because it is within 5-10 mins walk to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, Panathenaic Stadium (aka as Olympic Stadium), Syntagma Square for changing of the guards at the House of Parliament and to the Monastiraki Square and Plaka for shopping, dining, souvenirs, street food, gelato, coffee, flea market. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean (a little too small for my taste) and comfortable. The breakfast which was included in our stay had a large enough variety for all. The only problem I have is that they provided us with free Wi-Fi but was always weak and hard to keep on.

This is a wonderful hotel, great location (easy to walk everywhere) and our room had a spectacular view of the Acropolis.

The hotel is located right better the Acropolis, which is great for sight seeing. The staff has been friendly and attentive and the accommodations clean and comfortable.

The hotel is normal, but it is located close to the Acropolis.

It is the best place bc the people were very nice. Also the best location which you can walk around. Although the room were small but the service was great.

Amazing view of the Parthenon from the terrace where you can enjoy a meal or a drink — highly recommended!

Although the hotel room is very small, but the service here make up for this! Staff very friendly, very helpful;the room hate clean;Breakfast very good;and the hotel are all local to the centre (The Mall;the Acropolis, Museum, restaurant, etc. ).
