Fabulous stay here. Fantastic helpful staff and great views and food in the hotel roof bar/ restaurant. Very central location too as a bonus.

Great location very close the the Acropolis and other major attractions as well as plenty of delicious restaurants and loads of shops.

We came to Athens to run the Marathon. First of all the location is great, as it is not far from the finish line and the area where they pick you up to go to the starting line. The hotel was top notch: Very clean rooms, very friendly staff, great views from the balcony, tasty breakfast, and all at a great price!

The first rate accommodation, level of service and excellent location make this the perfect choice for a stay in Athens. It could not be faulted at all.

We truly enjoy the Hotel Hera and have stayed here for the past three years when visiting Athens. Staff is friendly, professional and helpful. This boutique hotel is just what we love! The rooftop restaurant and bar has a beautiful view of the Acropolis. The location is convenient for walking to the Acropolis and museum and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast is available and has a delicious array of choices.

Check in was awesome. Rooms aren’t big but comfortable. Nothing beats the rooftop.

Lovely hotel very friendly very close to all restaurants and bars. The rooftop peacock bar gives you a wonderful view of the Acropolis especially at night. Lovely breakfast.

It is a lovely hotel, in a good location and the service is very nice.

A gorgeous hotel with a timeless classic design. We had a drink on the rooftop patio which overlooks the Acropolis and it was beautiful. There was a breeze that made the weather up there perfect. The cocktails were OK, nothing special. We had a margarita and G&T, they were poured heavy but were fine for sipping. Our friends had dinner and it looked good and they said the stay was lovely. Has the feel of wealthy clientele and above average levels of service from the hotel staff.

Basically a good hotel in a great. Location, but with some defects. Of course rooms will vary but our room was on the small side, a little tired, looked out onto a bunch of a. C. Units, had an overly hard bed with lousy pillows, and a shower suitable only for munchkins with a broken shower head that slide down its pole to. Waist height. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Still, location was great and the people very nice.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a couple of hundred meters from the Acropolis. It has a nice rooftop terrace to with spectacular views. The staff is efficient, helpful, and friendly. Example: they rented a car for us (a somewhat complex arrangement, with pick-up at one place, drop-off at another) ; even though the rental was for a time after our stay at the Hera, the hotel staff encouraged us to call them in case we encountered problems.

Excellent boutique hotel! Very clean and comfortable with an outstanding location within easy walking distance of the Acropolis and the Plaka. Lots of good restaurant and public transportation all very close. Roof top restaurant is excellent and has a great view of the Acropolis which is especially nice at night. Staff very pleasant and professional.

The reception gentleman who worked between late night and early morning we met was nice. Some staffs can’t really speak much English. There was one reception lady wasn’t very friendly. Hotel room is a bit old also some equipments may need attention to get replaced. Peacock restaurant has great view to see Acropolis. Cocktails were nice. Breakfast was good.

I was so pleased with this hotel. Very clean, great service. Amazing view (in our case) we could see the Akropoli from our balcony. Great location close to the tourist spots, metro and plenty of good food option at the same time not crazy crowded place. Comes with free breakfast and cute bikes you can rent for cheap. If I have to say anything negative it is that the elevator is slow, and the breads in the restaurants they have are very dry but that seems to be a Athens thing if not a Greek thing.

The front desk was very helpful in arranging our transfers. The rooftop restaurant was excellent and the air conditioning in our room was needed and worked well. Would stay here again because central to all the sights but yet quiet.

The hotel is located just a couple blocks from the Acropolis and in the middle of a restaurant district. The rooms are clean and our room with Acropolis view was even better than advertised. The staff was polite and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was nothing amazing, but better than what you'll get at most places in the states.

We just got back from Athens and spent 6 days at Hera hotel. We had a wonderful experience, the balcony overlooking the Acroplois was amazing! All the staff were great and accomadating especially Costa! We were treated with complimentary doughnuts one night… It was a lovely gesture. The hotel is situated in the perfect area everything is walkable. We also used a private driver Dennis which I got through the Hera to do a tour of the coast, it was totally affordable. I totally recommend this hotel.

Very close to the Acropolis, parking (small), rooms very nice (not very big) with balcony. From the third floor up you can see Acropolis. Restaurant on the roof floor with good view. Very close to the metro.

What a fantastic location. 5 mins walk to Acropolis and 7 mins walk to Plaka (shops, afresco dining and cafes). Only 20 mis walk to Attica shopping mall. We stayed in the family room for 4 adults. Decor is a bit outdated but clean. Staff were friendly and breakfast was so fresh and delicous. The best youghurt in my entire life. We had a few dinners at the roof top restaurant with a view to Acropolis. It was amazing. The food were superb. Very much enjoyed our 8 nights stayed. No complaints!

The Hera is a great place to stay while visiting Athens! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is perfect for the Acropolis. They arranged a great driver for us named Tasos and he took us for day trips to ancient sites too! We loved our stay at The Hera and highly recommend it!

The location is perfect! Its about a minute walk to the acropolis! The service here is great and everyone here speaks english. Rooms are very clean as well.

Very nice old school hotel, close to the Acropolis and train station. The room is nicely appointed and has super comfortable beds and pilllows. Nice sheets and bedding too. I was disappointed with the shower-in-bath. Narrow and very confined shower experience, even though the water is hot and strong. They should redo the bathroom with a modern shower. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. I probably would have rated this 5 if the bathroom was top class.

The view is the best! But the staff is friendly, breakfast is awesome and the restaurant on top is the best!

Clean and accommodating room/hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant up top is a must! Amazing view of the Acropolis through the huge windows and the food is some of the best we had in Europe. The Greek spinach salad with grilled feta cheese is the best salad we have ever had. My husband ordered the sea bass which was extremely good and perfectly crispy on the outside. This place is all around worth it! Pretty affordable, too.

Classy hotel in the heart of Athens.

Met friends here for dinner. The restaurant is on the roof, so there are great views of the Parthenon. Good food, mostly reasonably priced. It didn't seem overly inflated for a touristy location. Good service.

This hotel is wonderful! The roof top restaurant and bar is even more wonderful. The view especially at sunset, the incredible food and the staff. We stayed here for two nights at the end of our trip around Greece and decided to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant both nights because it was so authentic but with a modern day twist. We had the best waitress we have ever had ANYWHERE — Felli. She really runs the show and makes sure everyone has all they need and more. She is incredibly on top of parings and suggestions as well as an overall passion for what she does. I wish we could have her as our waitress everywhere we went it would be perfect.
As far as food suggestions — anything and everything. There is not a bad option on the menu. Everything is super fresh and cooked perfectly.
The rooms are very quiet even next to the stairs and the beds are comfy. Wi fi works properly and plenty of hot water in the shower.
We will be back here without a doubt! We hope to see Felli again upon our return.

The location couldn't be better and the rate we received of ~$90AUD per night in late March meant the minor flaws in the room were forgotten!

So the reception here is so-so, really depends on who you get. We came in the day before our real check-in (we arrived earlier from our group of friends) and the receptionist was very unhelpful and a bit standoffish. We were wondering if we could add a day. Then we came the next day for our reserved check in and a really nice lady helped us. Really hit and miss here.

We love the location; smack right next to Acropolis metro station (5 mins walk), sports var and laundry stop opposite the hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, and of course, a simple but sumptuous breakfast!

First time back in Greece in 8 years and I am very glad to have stayed in this hotel close to all the attractions very clean room is very spacious definitely recommend this room and also get the Acropolis view if you can I didn't unfortunately was booked up but never the less the great views from the roof …

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon, in September, 2012. The rooms were nice, clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly. The view from the Peacock restaurant was fantastic! And there was a nice breakfast spread each morning (I particulary enjoyed the rice pudding).

Small room but enough to be comfortable with your partner. Good location, almost on the side of the Acropoli metro. From the restaurant on the top floor you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Parthenon. Ask bed double if it is necessary because the standard is 2 singles together.

Very decent hotel. Convenient place. Metro nearby. Acropolis next. Of unimportant Internet and continental breakfast. Be sure to visit the rooftop restaurant.
