Expensive but excellent location, staff and very nice rooms. Could not imagine a better place if you wang to have everything within walking distance.

Great location, in the heart of Plaka. Balcony with views of the Acropolis and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Spacious suite with a mini-kitchen. My only complaint was the shower that leaked water into the rest of the bathroom, causing the floor to become slippery.

Nice place with a perfect location for access to the Acropolis. The Hotel does not have a Terrace though some individual rooms have small balconies.

Amazing rooms and even more amazing location.

AVA is the best place to stay in Athens. I stayed in AVA five out of six visits in Athens. The views of the Acropolis and Hadrian's Arch is spectacular. The room is very comfortable and staff is wonderful. My favorite is the breakfast. I can have a complete breakfast to get my day started for site seeing. I will definitely will stay at AVA on my next visit to Athens.

Our first visit to Greece and to Athens. Great boutique hotel! Perfect location! The suites are beautiful and quite affordable.

This is a must stay. Everything was beyond amazing. The room, the view, the staff, the location, they even made a bed for our 3yr old. For the price, I reallly don't think you can do much better in the heart of Athens.

Very quiet and suites are quite spacious. Also very good air conditioning for the hot summers.

GREAT LOCATION, Great Hotel! The Ava is 100m from Plaka shopping area, 250m from Acropolis, and 50m from Arch of Hadrian. The pictures here are from our third floor balcony, to the left and right. Hotel is on a small street so just another building directly across. Breakfast was better than average, rooms were big, clean, and modern. We had a kitchenette and separate living room and bedroom, balcony is huge. They set up the living room so each of my kids has their own bed, one was kind of small, probably not big enough for a full size adult. My 5'8" son barely fit. If I ever come back, I'm definitely staying here. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, they helped me set up a car/taxi ride to and from airport for 50 euro each way, driver was waiting with our name on a sign when we walked out.

Service was fantastic. Rooms were large and very clean. Patio area was awesome. 1 minute walk to shopping and restaurants. Super location.

This hotel is a gem. It's location couldn't be better and the staff is one of the friendliest we've encountered. Our mini suite is so well appointed, beautiful views from the balcony and it couldn't be better.

Great location! Steps away from Hadrian's arch and many restaurants. Excellent free Wi-Fi. Perfect climate control enabled us to enjoy whatever temperature we wanted even when the temperature was in the 90s. Friendly, attentive staff. Quiet at night. Room was super clean. Breakfast was delicious with made-to-order eggs. In-room coffee maker.

Modern, maintenance is also very good. The location of the hotel was very good. From the Museum of the Acropolis and its wonderful super close. Is located in the heartland, and many attractions are very close. Excellent staff, they were very friendly. Really is the best hotel in Athens.

The location is simply faultless Upgraded my room… well I say room… more like mansion Staff nice Didn't have breakfast cause the place is so near a hundred cafes.

There is nothing 'boutique' about this hotel. It is conveniently located in Plaka, at the centre of the historic town of Athens, walking distance to the Acropolis. And that is all… Rooms and common facilities are mediocre, too expensive for what is on offer.

Great location, decent rooms and polite and helpful receptionist. I disliked though the smell coming from the kitchen, the meagre breakfast and the grumpy and abrupt hotel owner sitting like a hawk next to the reception. Definitely not a good value for money, have found much more decent options around Plaka.

We spent four nights here on our honeymoon. Fantastic location right in the Plaka and a short stroll from most of the ancient sites; lovely small, quiet, friendly hotel. Rooms are spacious, breakfast good, and we loved the view from our balcony. We definitely recommend this hotel and will be back again sometime.

Fabulous suite comprising bedroom, bathroom and large lounge/kitchen area with balcony and view of the Acropolis. Bottle of complimentary bubbles. Lovely staff. Very clean. Very well situated for exploring Athens. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend. Not cheap but if compared with London hotels it is! Go on treat yourself!

Lovely place to stay in one of the great cities on earth.

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights in August 2013. This hotel was perfect — in fact I can not think of one thing I would change. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They were able to offer us great recommendations for activities, sights and restaurants and also stored our luggage for us as we arrived well before check-in. The room/apartment was clean and very large with a patio overlooking the Acropolis. Location was fabulous, right in the heart of Plaka and walking distance to all of the sights on our list. We also hired a private taxi driver, Giannis, who was recommended by the hotel for a delightful drive up the coast to the Temple of Poseidon and then to a seafood restaurant for dinner. Giannis was wonderful — I would highly recommend hiring him for any out of town driving. We also had him pick us up and drive us to the airport. All in all a fabulous hotel in a fabulous city. Can't wait to return!

My wife and I stayed at the AVA during the end of May this year. It's not very often that I would rate a place as perfect but I have to say that our stay was just that. The AVA is located in the Plaka only minutes from the Acropolis, metro, On Off buses, restaurants and shops. The room we had was more like an apartment, very modern, clean and well appointed. All the staff were wonderful from reception, waitresses, cleaners, everyone. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety, Overall — perfect!

Fantastic Experience! A home away from home! Great Location especially if one wants to feel Athens! Never needed to take a cab except to and from the airport as everything we wanted to see and do was a walk away! It was a pleasure going out everyday, returning to rest in the afternoons during the heat and then stepping out in the early evening! Very Comfortable accommodation for our family of 4 together with being clean and crisp. Very friendly and helpful staff which makes a world of difference to one's stay. For our family AVA was well worth the money because it as far as we our concerned a 5* hotel! It is also one of the reasons we will return to Athens.
