I have been a regular customer at this hotel for a few years now, around mid March I booked directly with the hotel, the person at reception who took my booking, failed to mention that the price was for a non refundable booking. The day before my arrival I unfortunately tested positive to covid-19. I called the hotel to let them know and thats when they informed me my booking was non refundable, I explained my situation and that I was a regular customer, I sent and email and my PCR test proving I was positive and they finally agreed to let me re book at a later date as long as I paid the Best available rate at the time of my booking. I was fine with this! However this is where it becomes unacceptable… 10 days later I called to re book, the Best Available rate just happened to be the same rate as what I had initially paid, so the receptionist called her managers to verify this and in their own words they decided to impose a "small fine" of 30EU! Even though the FOH staff are friendly and helpful the management team need to take a long hard look at themselves and how they reward long term returning customers! I didn't change my mind, I got Covid! I hope the 30EU was worth loosing me as a customer!
